This house is a rare gem! I come to the Phoenix area once a year for work and always book a house to stay is so that I don't have to do the constant eating out thing and this place was just perfect. The house was in a very nice area with hiking trails literally just around the corner and all the amenities that make it feel like home. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Went stayed here for a family getaway. The pool was great. Nearby access to the south mountain hiking trails which was one of our favorite parts. Nice big park nearby as well. Thebhouse was very clean and accommodating with plenty of sleeping arrangements. Thank you for a great stay!

Having used Homeaway several times, we are always searching for THE PLACE to stay for our Arizona vacations which we love. Two other stays in the area occurred at homes with significant faults that interfered with a restful/peaceful stay and no return visits. Well, we found THE PLACE here at Marc and Barbara's house. It is the most functional residence we have ever seen. Everything fit into our comfort zone perfectly. This will sound silly, but all of the light bulbs actually worked. There is attention to the details of regular house maintenance which is never typical of a rental property. Top-of-the-line appliances, electronics, timers, night lights, bedding, linens, garage openers, extra keys, a park across the street, quiet neighborhood, entry to the Desert Classic Trail without having to drive to a trailhead, pleasant people in the immediate area, fast access to I10, around the corner supermarket and drugstore, nearby various excellent restaurants, close to downtown, pool heating, private backyard with landscaped terracing, etc, etc. Communications with the owners were excellent during the booking process as well as during our stay to answer any questions and to resolve any small glitches. We knew it was going to be a great place to stay since the owners were following us for their own vacation. Their regular attendance at the house, along with family in the immediate area, virtually guarantees a superior vacation rental. We will be talking to Marc and Barbara as soon as they complete their own vacation regarding our return visit(s).

This vacation home has so much to offer. First, the Arizona climate in the fall, winter, and spring months is just wonderful and a perfect getaway from our chilly, rainy, and snowy Chicago. The home is immaculate with a huge great room, kitchen, and dining area where families can watch the large TV, cook in the well-appointed kitchen, and eat together at a long dining table. Better still, there is a beautiful covered patio with furniture and dining seating for a large group. Even better, the large pool is HEATED and gated. The patio has two grills for those who choose not to dine out. But this Phoenix area has so many restaurant choices that eating out is easy too. The owners are always accessible and willing to answer any questions or concerns. We have already booked our 2020 spring vacation here!

The area was very nice especially anyone with smaller children. Park right across the street, hiking, and mountain biking right at your front door! Loved the layout of the kitchen and living room together. Excellent setup for entertaining and cooking with family. Pool was very warm and the patio with the overhang by the pool was a great hangout! If I had one complaint it would be the beds in every room were too soft. Some might be used to that I guess so anyway thanks for the great week!

We are recently retired and this was our first winter stay in Arizona. 9 Palms has spoiled us for future stays. This property is centrally located to Mill Street in Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, etc. There are many restaurants and shopping close by. South Mountain has 51 trails. The approach is literally 1 1/2 blocks from the house.. Western Star Park is directly across the street. Great if you have children or a dog. The house is renovated and offers everything! We never had to call the owners other than to tell them we had arrived and when we left. I´m a very clean person, so I brought my own sheets, pillow, etc. Totally not necessary. Bedding and beds are great. The owner heats the pool which is a complete plus. This winter was chilly and the pool was always a nice 80 degrees. You can´t go wrong renting this property. We can´t wait to be able to come again!

We had a great long weekend as my daughter competed in the Tempe Ironman race. The house had a great layout for family members to have private space yet entertain pre and post race celebrations! We loved the open kitchen, living room and dining room! The house is very spacious, well stocked with all our needs met! The access to Sky Harbor airport was so easy picking up everyone coming in to support our Ironman daughter as well as ease of getting to downtown Tempe. Jim even too an early morning hike on the trails just around the corner. Thanks Angel

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the property has everything needed to settle in and enjoy your vacation. There is a heated pool, a park across the street, and a hiking trails accessible a short walk from the front door. The back patio is beautiful and a great place to enjoy your morning...very peaceful. Well stocked with the necessities, this vacation home is clean, welcoming, and ready for enjoyment. The owners are great! Responsive, reasonable and ready to provide any information needed during your stay. We would definitely rent this property again.

This home was perfect for our wedding weekend. We enjoyed having such a beautiful place to come home to during our stay. We appreciated that the home was fully stocked with plate ware and cutlery. It truly had everything we needed, and on top of that was beautiful and welcoming. I hosted my bridal shower here (with permission from the owners) and all the ladies could not stop raving about how beautiful the home was. In all honesty, the pictures don´t even do it justice. On top of that, the owners were incredibly helpful when we had a little trouble trying to get in. I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!!

This was our second stay at 9 Palms and once again, we were completely satisfied. The place is just perfect. Pool for fun, plenty of room to spread out, and great location with ease of access to anywhere we needed to go! Loved the updated furniture since our last stay! We were 4 Adults and 2 Kids and everyone had a great time!

When we arrived, everything was just as described. The house was spotless and the pool area was too. Pool temperature was about 80 degrees which was how we like it. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for anything you wanted to do. Hiking was either out the door and walk two blocks or drive about 5 minutes to a main South Mountain Trailhead. Restaurants were within 5-10 minutes as was a grocery and drug store. Zoo was only 15-20 minutes away. The owners were really easy to work with and we had no problems at all. In previous trips to the Phoenix area, we had stayed in Glendale and Anthem. This was our first time in Ahwatukee but we do plan on returning and hope to stay in this house again. Thank you to the Munders for making our 8th trip to Phoenix the best yet!

The property was AMAZING!!!! fully updated with all new appliances, everything was kept up very well. The owners respond fast and are very thorough with everything they could offer and all amenities. Great location close to everything we needed, grocery store, bars and freeway. Would definitely book again.

Two families (4 grown ups and 4 kids) stayed for a three day weekend away and it worked perfectly. The house was spacious enough for us all and we were able to use the pool every day. There´s a park across the street for the little ones and the location to shopping and Talking Stick Arena was perfect. Very enjoyable and the kids are already asking if we can stay here again.

This home was everything we had hoped! Location was excellent, easy to get around and access close to necessities. The home itself was fabulous. Clean, well stocked, park directly across the street for my dog and the pool was enjoyed nightly. Will definitely stay here again!

We rented this property for two families with young children. The house plan is open and easy with a big modern kitchen and a living area with a huge comfy couch centered around a flat screen television. The three bedrooms plus a hide-a-bed in the den met the family's needs as did the two full bathrooms. There is a washer and dryer that came in handy several times throughout the week. Best, of course, is the HEATED swimming pool with a covered patio (with ceiling fans) and furniture to seat a crowd. An essential safety feature is that the pool is surrounded by a locked fence. This is so important to families with children. While most of the vacation was happily spent enjoying the pool, this area of Phoenix is also convenient to parks, museums, zoos, hiking, shopping and restaurants. Also important is the fact that the owner is easily accessible and responsive to all questions. We will definitely be back next year!

Excellent home to stay at. Perfectly setup for young children with fenced in pool area. Kids toys, pack and play and high chair. They were some pool toys, floaties and life jackets for my 2 year old. Heated pool was awesome! House was in excellent condition and clean . Large kitchen and BBQ was perfect for our family. Would recommend to others and would stay again.

We had a wonderful family vacation while staying at the 9 Palms. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed to easily access the house and gave helpful suggestions for things to do while visiting. The home was spotless with an updated kitchen and modern bathrooms. The covered patio was perfect for enjoying a meal or snack. We walked straight from the house up the trails on South Mountain and jumped into the beautifully maintained pool afterwards. I highly recommend this place!

I booked this property for a family reunion meeting place over Thanksgiving week. It was the perfect location for Thanksgiving dinner! While we had our dinner prepared for us, the kitchen was stocked with all the cooking essentials and beyond. The accommodations where exactly as described. We had 5 adults and three children - the house accommodated all of us comfortably. We enjoyed the pool and the recent addition of the heater made the pool a perfect getaway this time of year. The house is located near major shopping centers and restaurants. The owners, Barbara and Marc, prepared us for the visit and were excellent hosts. We would definitely stay at this house again when in Phoenix.

We had two families stay and it was perfect. The house had a high chair, pack n play and toys which was so nice we didn´t have to pack any. The heated pool kept our boys entertained and the adults loved the outdoor space. Great kitchen and amenities and location. We highly recommend and would come again! Owners were very helpful and responsive with any needs.

We arrived in Phoenix for a family wedding and stayed in this beautiful home. It is located close to the airport and near Safeway grocery store and many restaurants which made things easy. The park across the street is very nice too with a shaded play area. It is walking distance to the south mountain range where we did some hiking on the trails. We also went to the Grand Canyon and the beautiful town of Sedona which was only a few hours away. The home is immaculate and had everything we could possibly need. There was also a pack and play, high chair and toys for our granddaughter. The pool is heated and well maintained. There is a gated patio with a large table so all 8 of us could sit outside and eat near the pool, and we could enjoy all the sunny and warm days. It was nice having our own heated pool to use while we were there. We are from Michigan so we embraced the warm weather. The owners were very easy to work with and responded promptly to any questions that we had. When we return to the Phoenix area we will definitely consider staying here again.

We rented the house to do a family visit trip. Immediately coming through the door we were incredibly happy! Pictures translate well and the house was perfect for 6 of us (4 adults and 2 kids) to comfortably enjoy the 4 days of our stay! The kitchen was perfect for us to prepare and enjoy some great meals with everything we needed at our disposal. The location is great! Right near stores, and minutes from the freeway (I-10). The covered patio area with the ceiling fans worked perfectly. We found ourselves out there each night once the sun went down a little! I could not reccommend 9 Palms more!!!!

Loved the house! Enough room for our family of 5. Poolarea was amazing. Good size of the pool. The seating area outside was covered and that was great in the hot Arizona sun. Extremely hot when we visited June/July, espescially with the extreme heatwave with temperatures up in the 120s. On a roadtrip in Arizona our car measered 124 fahrenheit at the most. But with aircondition and a great pool, it was fine. Nice neighborhood and absolutely loved the mountain and hiking on trails there. Right next to the park as well (who for some reason did not have cover for the playing area for the small kids (2-5), just the big kids area 5-12). So our little 4 year old could not use the playground in those temperatures sadly. Not much I would change about this house. Only thing is I wish there could have been a safety lock (high up) on the front door, because with only one lock (easy opened), I was afraid our 4 year old would open the door and wonder outside in the early morning/night. So I was always blocking the door with chairs. But thats it. Would really recommend this house to families going on holiday to this great area. Close to Safeway for groceryshopping. Not far for a trip in to Phoenix city and about a 2 hour drive to the wonderful scenery in Sedona. Also a binder in the house with lots of information and maps about things to do when staying i Ahwatukee. Marc and Barbra was also easy to communicate with and helpful with problems. Hope to back someday.

This home was great inside & out! Clean, spacious & the outdoor covered area w/ the huge round table was perfect for entertaining our group of 8. The pool was a bit cold but we still enjoyed it. The location was great, close to shopping, hiking, dining, golf. Having the park across the street was a plus as well-Thank you!

Rented this beautiful home for my 2 daughters and their families. Everything about the house was in perfect order. The kitchen is well-equipped and is open to the family room and covered patio area. Wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful pool but the February weather was too cool. The house is across the street from a great park and not far from many of Phoenix's attractions. The owners are accessible and helpful with any information needed. We have used HomeAway several times and this is one of the best!
