5.0   -   Awesome Home in Tucson!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home. It was clean, well maintained and had more than enough space for us. It is located in the perfect location so that it was private in the backyard while we went swimming and enjoyed the hot tub. Viewing the wildlife was a joy also and we appreciated the tourism brochures left for us to help figure out our days. Can´t wait to come back!

We had a six week stay at Casa Blanca and left wanting more. The interior of the house is well laid out, so comfortable and welcoming. It is a great spot for cooking wonderful meals and entertaining family and friends. The patio with it´s musical fountains and mountain views was where we spent as much time as possible. Morning coffee, afternoon siesta or hot tub star gazing....just lovely. There was a perfect spot for anytime of day. Lori was immediately attentive to any requests and her in-town manager was extremely helpful and available. The house is well located for going north or south in Tucson and had easy access to grocery shopping, etc. We loved it´s proximity to the river walk. We hope to be able to return and enjoy this lovely home again.

Loved our week at lori´s house . It was a great time by all . The view was amazing and Lori was very helpful. It was spotless and we loved the view and cooking on the grill. Tried to book again for 2020 but was reserved already. You will love your stay. We were fortunate to be there the first week of February and the oranges in the back were amazing. Also take note there is a Whole Foods and Walgreens down the street. Very convienent

Appliances, hot tub, wifi all worked perfectly. Kitchen was great, grill worked well. Our stay would have benefited from the presence of a DVD player but guess that's old hat now. Also, the master bath was tub only, no shower.

Very quiet, clean and comfortable house. We slept very well. Very nice southwest decor. Nice Large living area. A few too many unnecessary steps make for a nice multi level view. Lots of skylights make the interior bright and lively. Lori is very attentive and made sure we had all we needed. We will certainly consider coming back.

Lori's casa blanca is truly a gem. My family and I celebrated my sister's 40th birthday and Thanksgiving in this beautiful home. The place itself is immaculate with stunning artwork hanging from the walls and the outdoor space is extremely tranquil with 360 views of the mountains. Lori is an extremely responsive host and answered all my questions right away. I would definitely recommend Lori and her home to anyone looking to stay in Tuscon. My family and I all want to return! Thanks Lori!

La Casa Blanca, actually a white beacon nestled among cactus, Palo Verdes, mesquites, peppermint, fruit, and eucalyptus trees, provided just the right refuge a beacon should. The home offers a reflection of the cultural community surrounding it, including the Native American and Mexican cultures. Fine art and artifacts adorn each room, giving character and warmth to all corners of the house. We could have spent all of our days engaged in discovering new details throughout the spacious house, or relaxing in the hot tub, or splashing with delighted children in the swimming pool, or getting our cardiovascular exercise in the exercise room, or watching the sunrise on the Catalina mountains in the morning and turning round to dance to the pulsating lights of the Tucson valley in the evening. But we had returned to Tucson for a long-awaited reunion of friends and family, and our time to enjoy all that La Casa Blanca had to offer was far too little. The place was luxurious delight. We appreciate all the thought and care provided by the owner.

 4.0   -   Nicely kept property
Reviewed on Mar 01, 2018
We enjoyed our stay. The house was conveniently located in the Catalina foothills. It was clean and well-kept, there were abundant towels (both pool/hot tub and bathroom) and it was nicely appointed and supplied. Although it was cool while we were visiting so we didn't use the pool or outdoor areas a lot, they were very nicely kept and there were lots of places to sit/lounge. Overall we recommend this property. We do want to note that there are several levels with tile stairs. Our aging father was with us, and although we did not have problems, I can see that someone elderly and less spry could have issues.

5.0   -   Beautiful home close to great hiking
Reviewed on Feb 23, 2018
The house is large and beautiful with a spacious, open floor plan, beautiful southwestern decor and well equipped kitchen. The master bedroom and bath is on the upper level so has excellent privacy. The master bedroom is very large and has 2 decks - one with views south to Tucson and the other on the north side with mountain views. The neighborhood is lovely, in a natural setting and very quiet. The rolling terrain creates privacy between houses - it's not a flat subdivision. And the Adobe syle with an enclosed terrace and pool area creates privacy as well. My husband and I go to Tucson to hike and this house is close to great hiking. We hiked in Ventana Canyon, Sabino Recreation Area and Sugaro national park East - all very easily accessed from the house. The house is only 5 minutes from a shopping area with a Whole Foods and a Natural Grocers, gas station, etc. The owner is very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

This property is very comfortable and lovely. Lori has maintained it very well. The surroundings are beautiful and every thing function as it should. The bathrooms were clean with cozy towels and there was a view of the Tucson area from every window. I would recommend this property to anyone without ADA needs. It is not conducive for someone who has trouble with stairs. I would and did give it 5 *****!

 1.0   -   Very Disappointed

Pictures are awesome, but the property is pretty dated without proper upkeep. Stairs are very awkward, not even close to code, and well, just dangerous. One of my guests fell twice. Water in downstairs bathroom has a fowl smell and I hasn´t been updated sine the 70s. Views match the pictures, very pretty.

What a good decision it was to rent this wonderful "oasis"! We knew that the property would have some of the flavor of Tucson that we hoped for as well as the comforts of a well-appointed home, but what we didn't expect was the tranquility that the property offers! We loved listening to fountains while enjoying early morning coffee on the patio and enjoyed the evening sunsets and stargazing as well. These is plenty of space in the home to enjoy privacy if you are with a group too. The kitchen has what you need to cook as little or as much as you like. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were fantastic! [something we think is always so important if you really want to rest!] We stayed a week - and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

There were 3 couples staying in this house for 4 nights. Yes..we wish it could have been longer! The home is beautifully done with so much art that everyday we discovered something new! Outside is equally beautiful...pool, fountains, hot tub, lovely landscaping, & fruit trees. Everything is stunning. The home has plenty of linens & the kitchen is stocked with all the dishes one would need. I didn't read the description well enough to realize the downstairs bedrooms share a bath. At some point the owner might consider making another bathroom in the laundry room..it's definitely large enough. The views are awesome day or night! Overall it was a great time & all of us agreed we would stay here again & highly recommend it.

Our 6 days at this beautiful casa in the Catalina Foothills was perfect in every respect. The house was extremely well maintained and clean with beautiful furniture, comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, an exercise area (that the children enjoyed very much) and a lovely outside area with a pool, fire pit and furniture with great cushions. We had a wonderful and very memorable time, thank you sincerely.

4.0   -   Great space for a family or two couples, be aware of odd bathroom layout in master bedroom
Reviewed on Nov 28, 2016
The house was spacious with lofty ceilings in the living room area and everything is well maintained. Lots of communal hang out space but the multi level layout gave everyone privacy and cozy places for solitude as well. Kitchen is well stocked and would be great for group cooking. Beds are comfortable with nice mattresses. Instructions for the house are easy and clear and all the lights are labeled (because there are a lot of light switches). Owner is very responsive. The house is just a few minutes from a Whole Foods and about 10 minutes from Sabino Canyon National Park. My issues with the house: (1) the master bedroom is very large, has a great walk in closet, and is comfortable but there is no division between bedroom and bathroom. There is also no division between bathroom/bedroom and the toilet and most inconvenient of all, there is no shower in the master bedroom: just a giant heart shaped tub that doesn't even have a European hand-held shower head. There is another bathroom right outside the master bedroom with a shower but if you are 3 couples renting the house, be prepared to share bathrooms for showering. The listing incorrectly listed the house as having 3 showers and 3 toilets but the owner fixed this error once I pointed it out after checking in. (2) This is a small nitpick but the bedding could use updating, especially the comforters. Right now they are thin, quilted coverlets akin to something you'd get at a motel. Some nice down comforters with duvet covers would be a much more elegant touch.
