5.0   -   We had a great time and Deborah and Larry were very responsive to any questions.

The cabin was beautifully located in the pines with a view of a flowing creek. We saw deer come up close, and that was a rare treat. It is remote yet close to town and the beautiful Lynx Lake. We could mountain bike straight from the cabin. Thank you for a great experience.

This property was absolutely beautiful. It is located next to a creek so if you love nature than you will absolutely love that. The cabin was nicely decorated and had the perfect amenities for two. It made for a most realaxing weekend. The owner is very attentive to your needs and tries hard to make sure that you are comfortable. I absolutely loved that I was able to arrive late or leave early without having to worry about getting or giving back the key because the property has an electronic key that is given to you prior to you arriving. I would definitely stay here again. It's far enough from the hustle and bustle but still close to major stores and great restaurants.

Very nice rustic accommodations. Saw deer and wild turkeys in the front yard on different days. Not too far from town.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome in this gorgeous place. We had an amazing time. This cabin is beautiful deep in the woods, but close enough to shopping and dining. Very clean and very welcoming. If you guys have us, we would love to visit again.

Deborah's Cabin In The Pines was the absolute perfect place for my get-away! The Cabin was even better than the pictures indicated. When I opened the front door, I was amazed at how adorable it was. Absolutely everything anybody would need. It was so comfortable and cozy and most importantly Deborah was the perfect host who is there for you at any time that is needed. And the only thing I needed was a suggestion for where to go for a good sunset! The cabin was clean and comfortable and I had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. Her attention to comfort was clear the minute I opened the door!! Chuck

We enjoyed staying there was very clean ,watching the deer come thru every evening was a treat. Small washer & dryer would be nice & more hot water for showers. Would recommend staying there to anyone it´s very guite & peaceful. Cooked steaks on the grill we enjoyed that. Proximity to other areas made it convenient for us. Anyone looking for a get away this would be it.

We had a great stay here at the cabin. Since this was my first visit To Arizona, we did take in the Grand Canyon for one day, but remained near the Prescott area for the rest of our stay, a considerable amount of this time at the cabin. We enjoyed hiking at nearby Lynx Lake and relaxing on the cabin´s porch. Wildlife sightings were plentiful, Including multiple deer sightings only 20 yards from the cabin. We recommend this cabin either as a base to explore Prescott Valley or a relaxing getaway.

5.0   -   The 'Cabin in The Pines' has everything you need on the inside but the bonus is on the outside!
Reviewed on May 05, 2018
My wife and I looked forward to coming back from each days' activities to enjoy a bottle of wine on the porch while watching the day turn to night, feeling the drop in temperature as the sun went down, listening to the birds as they settled down for the evening and listening to the wind as it would slowly move up the valley; betting on whether it would reach us or die out. So peaceful! We were amazed at how clean and decorated the cabin is; obviously well cared for! It's nicely appointed with a comfortable bed, sofa and recliner. We used the refrigerator, toaster oven and coffee pot throughout our five day stay and watched the local news and movies on TV. There's even a stand up wine bottle opener! The 'Cabin in The Pines' is country quiet but only 10 minutes away from city amenities. Deborah gave us excellent dining recommendations as we like to eat at local favorites. They were out of town while we were there but Deborah stayed in touch throughout our stay via text messages. FOUR THUMBS UP FOR 'CABIN IN THE PINES'!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was comfortable for two people without feeling cramped. The front porch was quiet and surrounded with pleasant forest and a nearby creek, a nice place to have your coffee or enjoy the onset of evening with a drink. Its an easy six mile drive on a windy forest road from Prescott shopping and commercial area to the cabin. Close enough to be convenient and far enough to feel a little separation. Half way along this road is access to Lynx lake. We had breakfast at the cafݩ and the service and the food were both very good. We hike the lake which has a nice paved trail on the west side and a more typical foot path along the east side. About an hours worth of easy to moderate hiking. We had a very nice stay and would recommend this cabin.

 3.0   -   Less is more
Reviewed on Sep 05, 2017
I want to start off by saying it was a nice treat to have a welcome basket upon our arrival. The owner had chips, water, wine and other munchies if we desired to indulge. The cabin is located right off Walker Road where you listen to the traffic of vehicles and several ATV´s. As you drive to the property it could use some curb appeal. Where the cabin is located around that building there is equipment sprawled out with no rhyme or reason. It would be nice if the owner paved the driveway to the cabin. There is a secluded deck for sitting outside. I recommend that deck be cleaned before guests arrive. On the pictures, it shows two chairs facing the trees. What it doesn´t show is a great big tin shed on the neighbor´s property that takes away from the view. The neighbors were very busy doing outside chores all weekend. The inside; less is more. It is like a museum. There is no subtle dÝ©cor with a cozy feel. Too much on the walls, shelves, additional furniture, a fake tree, etc...there was no cozy feel with all the clutter. The cabin has very little light. The bulbs they have are so high on the ceiling. It´s dark in there. There is a queen size bed with an extremely soft and overused mattress. Owner should consider something a bit firmer as some guests may have back issues and a soft bed will not help. I believe the hot water heater is about 5 gallons. I am quick in the shower and I ran out of hot water every morning. We had to wait at least 20-30 minutes before my husband could shower so he would have hot water. It´s beautiful country in Prescott. I will return but not to this VRBO property. It needs a lot of TLC, less clutter, better curb appeal to call it a cozy cabin in the woods.

The cabin is comfortable, clean, and in the middle of cool pines. We we were lucky enough to be there during a monsoon weekend, sit on the patio, watch it rain, and listen to the creek below us. Owners made sure we had everything needed before we ever got there and left us to enjoy our weekend without interruption, but let us know how to contact them if needed. Will definitely do this one again.
