Secluded, private, homey casita at the edge of the hills. Lots of interesting wildlife and great views in a desert setting. Great retreat!

Tanque Verde Valley Desert Casa is a wonderful place to stay. It is spacious, comfortable and the outdoor space is a beautiful private and peaceful desert landscape. There are lots of opportunities to see wildlife and many birds. Inside, the living space is open and light with views in almost all directions. The casa has a full kitchen that makes preparing meals easy. The only thing missing was a coffee grinder. We would definitely stay again. Thanks to our lovely hosts, Sara and Ralph!

Very welcoming property; spacious and bright; extensive outdoor space with seats tables and fire pit; handy for all parts of Tucson - particularly for hiking in Saguaro NP and the Catalina mountains.

5.0   -   Comfortable, peaceful Casa with all the delights of a rural setting close to great activities.

Sara and Ralph are terrific hosts. They have designed the Casa with comfort, beauty and practicality so the living is easy. There are lovely vistas from every window, and the bird feeders are kept full to attract the birds that are here in the southwest, many which we do not see in the Midwest. The Casa is perfectly located for golf at 49ers, breakfast lunch or dinner at the golf course's Rincon Grill, hiking at Saguaro East National Park or a less strenuous stroll at Agua Caliente Park. We again enjoyed the Festival of Books on the University of Arizona campus just 25 minutes away with 400 authors to choose from. Truly a great month in the desert!

This property is everything a couple on vacation could want. A beautiful one-bedroom with an intimate lounging area overlooking the Catalinas on all four sides. Wonderful wildlife: quail, bobcat, coyote, rabbits, and many, many birds, including hawks and roadrunners (binoculars provided). The cactus garden is huge, and well-cared for, with several sitting areas for an evening by the fire or just a casual book-reading session. A short walk to one of the most beautiful parks in the area, and close to Sabino Canyon, and Tanque Verde Falls. A shopping area with a Safeway store and restaurants is a ten-minute drive. The bonus you don't expect is a wonderful couple, Ralph and Sarah, who will look after your every need. You don't want to miss staying here! Bob & Maryann from St. Louis, MO

This property is so awesome that I didn't even want to move into my apartment at the end of my stay. The property is beautiful, private and peaceful. The hosts are very nice and have furnished the house with everything you could possibly need. I would highly recommend this rental!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Desert Casa! Sara and Ralph truly offer the comforts of home. The new IKEA kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. The internet is fast, and we enjoyed having Comcast and watching our favorite shows on the large TV. If you enjoy nature and beautiful scenery, this is the place for you. The views are great!
