Our family of 6 thouroughly enjoyed our two-night stay. The cabin is cozy, comfy, and full of charm. We had everything g we needed in terms of bedding, bath linens, kitchen supplies, etc. The grounds are beautiful, as well. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. It was the perfect weekend get-away.

My family and I great enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was cozy and comfortable . The hosts were very responsive and attentive. We loved that we could walk to small hikes from the cabin itself . The kids loved the loft and exploring the property around cabin. We loved that we could bring our dogs and I think they enjoyed the cabin and hiking as much as we did! Would most definitely stay where again!

My husband, I and our dogs really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean..they even provided a new scrubby for us to open. The screened in porch was nice to relax in and we enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic bench and being tucked in among the trees too. A++++ rating. I spoke w/Joey before arriving and she shared w/me directions to a "local" hike. It was great. Our dogs were in heaven.

Wonderful cabin. Very cozy with a lovely screened in porch to sit and listen to the rain storms or watch the wildlife. The owners are very friendly and happy to help with any issues, should they arise. We will definitely be going back.

5.0   -   Fantastic Getaway to the Woods
Reviewed on Jun 29, 2018
This cabin was the perfect escape from the heat of Tucson to relax, unplug, and rejuvenate in the woods of Prescott with my dog. The owner, who lives on the adjacent property, met me when I arrived to tour the cabin and gave great advice on nearby hiking trails and lakes. Then they gave me complete privacy but were always a text or phone call away when I needed advice or assistance. The inside of the cabin is nicely decorated and has all the modern conveniences including cable tv and internet if you want it. There is also a good amount of land around the cabin with chairs and tables to take in the wildlife and the quiet. Can't wait to go back again!

We truly enjoyed staying in this cabin. The description fits it perfectly. The location is perfect close to Prescott but more importantly a walk away from the National Forest. The cabin is clean and welcoming the large screened in porch is the best spent may hours their watching wildlife. Joey & Pat are super nice and will answer any questions you have. We brought our two dogs and they enjoyed the area and space to run around.

The cabin was so homey, cute and inviting. The owners were absolutely wonderful, very helpful, genuinely interested in their guests, I just wanted them to stay and enjoy the cabin with us. The beds were comfortable, didn't want to get out of it in the morning. I was surprised with 2 deer watching me as I got ready to leave. It was a great ending to my trip. Looking forward to another stay in this charming cabin.

We were recently in Prescott for the weekend for our son's soccer tournament. We opted to stay in this cabin instead of one of the hotels. Our time at the cabin was very relaxing. There were wonderful hiking trails walking distance from the cabin. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. We would have loved to stay longer.

This cabin is rustic in all the right ways. I was in need of a place to replenish my soul. I found it on Groom Creek. The cabin is equipped with anything you could possibly need or want. It is comfortable, cozy and quaint. Much love and care goes into this wonderful spot for others to enjoy. Joey & Pat could not be any more helpful with hints of where to go, what to do and how it all works. When you hate to leave, you know something perfect has just happened. We will, one day, return to this wonderful haven!

5.0   -   Family Weekend out of the City
Reviewed on Oct 10, 2016
This is the perfect rustic cabin for just unwinding and relaxation. We found all accomodations to be exactly as portrayed via pictures and description on site. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room. Cooked most of our meals there, and the kitchen was small, but adequate and had everything we needed. The luxury part was the downstairs bathroom. Knowing that you can take a nice hot shower in a warm, cozy bathroom is fabulous. Beds were comfy. Enough firewood there to keep us warm, both inside and using the fire pit outside. A perfect weekend location! Saw deer, squirrels, and some coyotes on the adjacent property in the evening. Thanks to our hosts. Maybe next time we come, the creek will be running!!! We'd love to see that!

 5.0   -   Perfect cabin for a weekend get-away!
Reviewed on Sep 30, 2015
We chose this cabin due to its proximity to the Granite Creek Classic Run which starts nearby. We spent two nights at the cabin and everyone loved it. There were four of us and there was more than enough room in the cabin for everyone to be very comfortable. It is clean, charming, and stocked with many amenities including a very large paperback book selection. We cooked on the outdoor barbque and ate outside on the patio to enjoy the weather. The area around the cabin is just beautiful. We took walks around the community, enjoying the scenery. It is also close to a number of hiking areas for anyone who wants to go on longer hikes, including Goldwater Lake, which is about 5 minutes away. All of us found the cabin to be the perfect place to stay for a weekend get-away in a beautiful setting. A big thank-you to the owners for sharing their cabin with us!

We spent 2 nights here with our children (ages 10 and 11) and loved it. The cabin was perfect, we used the BBQ both nights, ate all our meals outdoors on the patio, played cards and just relaxed. It's very quiet and is a perfect place to unwind and spend quality family time. The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is small but we cooked all our meals here and found it to be efficient and well stocked. The area is beautiful and close to many activities. We hiked and mountain biked, and fished at Goldwater Lake. A perfect weekend!

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful cabin! Bill and I had an amazing time. Your cabin is rustic in the most beautiful way, it was peaceful and relaxing. We had a difficult time deciding if we should take walks in the beautiful surrounding area or just hang out in the cabin. On one of our walks we saw a mommy deer and her baby, and there were lots of squirrels to watch playing around the property. We took a drive to Goldwater Lake and hiked around the lake, walked out onto the little pier and fed the ducks and geese. We are already planning our next trip in March 2015. Thanks again, Kim and Bill Goodyear, Az.

This cabin was a wonderful retreat for our family. It was spacious, clean and had lots of amenities - all we needed to bring was food, clothes and toiletries and we were set. It is remote enough that you feel surrounded by nature but not so far out that you have to drive a long distance to town. Our hosts, Joey and Patrick, were warm and friendly and made us feel at home. We would happily recommend this cabin to our friends and plan to return again.

3.0   -   Nice owners, rustic cabin
Reviewed on May 08, 2014
This cabin was a little too rustic for my taste. Having to light a fire to keep warm at night and then having it die out halfway through the night was not fun. The cabin decor is from the 70's/80's and could stand to be updated. The floors and downstairs bathroom had been recently remodeled and it had a nice ceiling fan. The owners were nice and did help with lighting the fireplace since we were unskilled at that. We brought our dog that loved running and exploring the large yard. Our kids loved exploring the woods and creek they are asking to go back. I felt it was too pricey for the condition of the cabin.

 5.0   -   Great Anniversary Stay
Reviewed on May 21, 2012
The setting is beautiful. The cabin is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. There are many things to do nearby that we enjoyed. We had a nice anniversary dinner in town at Murphy's. I recommend the prime rib there. Prescott and the surrounding area is a great place to explore. The downtown area around the courthouse square is always fun. We took walks around the neighborhood near the cabin. We hiked around Granite Basin northwest of Prescott. It was a pleasant little place to visit. Goldwater Lake (our favorite nearby attraction) was closed due to fire helicopters getting water for the Crown King fire. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a nice quiet getaway destination.
