Water leak from condo above... otherwise would be 5 star

While we enjoyed the central location and the place was roomy enough, there were many items that needed some improvement. I have provided this feedback once already, so receiving this request again is an indicator of the communications concerns. All communications (except emergency) were requested to be provided via email or text which is not timely. In addition, it said support was available "during office hours" but no indication of what the specific hours are. Also, we did not receive any checkout instructions, so we did our best to depart for appropriate turnaround. Maintenance issues in the place: 1. The smoke detector is not installed. This is a major safety hazard. 2. The inside door handles on both the hall bathroom and MBR doors are loose and come off as a result. This is a minor safety hazard, especially in light of the smoke detector status. 3. The TP holder in the hall bathroom is broken 4. Both shower handles are very stiff to turn and control hot water, seemingly due to hard water deposits Check in process: 1. The entry instructions are outdated, providing details on use of the lockbox. There is an electronic key for which no instructions were provided 2. The key fob for pool and laundry access was not provided as indicated in the instructions. This was resolved during the stay, but one day late. 3. The assigned parking space was available on the first day but not afterward due to another vehicle parking there. This is contrary to the expectation. General condo comments: 1. Very clean upon arrival. Pleased with the upkeep. 2. Once we had access, the pool was really refreshing 3. The VRBO picture gave a false sense of modernness. The kitchen/dining area (in the picture) is nicely updated, but the rest of the place is a little dated or run down (older furniture, misfitting shower curtains, worn counter in MBR, aforementioned maintenance items). This didn't necessarily take away from general roominess or comfort, except for the sagging couch. 4. Paper product supply, cleaning supplies, and toiletries were ample. 5. Cups/glasses were not very appropriate. Only one wine glass; only 2 coffee cups. Some juice glasses or "lowball" glasses would have been sufficient to make up for some of this, but there were only regular drinking glasses 6. Youtube TV was listed in the description, but it was not logged in and therefore unavailable

I rented this Tiwnhouse tor a few days. It was very clean and well stocked. Close to many places to eat or shop. If I’m ever in Phoenix area again, I would definitely stay here again!

I will say, the apartment was quite clean and the furniture and beds were comfortable. However, there was no heat in the house (and it was cold then in Phoenix), and no hot water--no baths. We did not cook or use any facilities, only the coffee maker. We tried to watch tv for the news, but could not understand how to use it for regular channels. We "texted" the lack of hot water & heat twice, had no reply. I telephoned "Bart"--only a voice mail--no reply. There was no hot water pressure in the bathroom, but didn't matter--no hot water for even a face wash or hand wash our cups. The toilet seat was almost falling off (I did tighten the bolt, which helped). There were no directions for what to do with our trash. I'm an 81 year old who believes in direct communication and have experienced the total lack of now. We spent each of the 4 days at the Arabian horse show, and came "home" at night to no heat or hot water. A very unpleasant expeience!
