This is the Casita Bonita Home ...
Fully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom Santa Fe Style hillside casita, with incredible views of the mountains and the city of Tucson. This newly constructed guesthouse is fully furnished, including a clothes washer and dryer, and is located in the foothills of the Catalinas, at the base of Mount Lemmon. The guesthouse is located on a three acre property, is surrounded by Saguaros, Ocotillo, and desert wildlife, and has a private patio with a private hot tub.
Arizona National is the closest golf course and is only a 5-10 minute drive from our casita. The closest shopping center is 5 miles (10 minutes) away, according to Google Maps. The drive up to Mount Lemmon starts only minutes away and leads to hiking, cycling, mountain biking, camping, fishing, scenic overlooks, and skiing (depending upon the season and the weather). By car, downtown Tucson is 36 minutes away, and The University of Arizona is 29 minutes away (both according to Google Maps).
The guesthouse is designed to accommodate up to 2 people using the king size bed, but we may be able to accommodate a couple with a small child, as well. Please contact us about this situation ahead of any requests for booking.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Amazing views, amenities and owners. We would definitely go back ( if they would have us.... we took over their recycling bin).

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places that we have stayed. Convenient to things to see and do...and then sleep in quiet and awaken to the mountains and sounds of birds.
Furnished beautifully with all that you need to feel at home.
Allesandra is a wonderful hostess... Tucson is a wonderful place to visit...the Casita is a wonderful place to stay!

Found this wonderful place 6 years ago and we have returned every year since. Wonderful people. The house is well maintained and a gem of a place. We love hiking and it is well located to take advantage of all the trials. The views are superb.

The casita is well laid-out. It´s very comfortable. The attached deck shares the view, has a grill and a table for meats, chairs and also a spa. There are numerous saguaro cacti close by as well as several other forms of cacti. Also numerous species of birds to watch. We were impressed by how quiet it is while relaxing on the deck.

A beautifully maintained and extremely comfortable casita. The nicest vrbo we have ever stayed in. Lovely decor, patio with hot tub and views of everything. Owners were very friendly and helpful in all respects. Very close to the road up to Mt. Lemmon. Can't say enough good things about this place, and we look forward to returning!

The house is well equipped and nicely appointed. Private accommodations with separate entrance and outdoor area. Driveway is one way circular, a bit higher elevation than the casita entrance. Great access to hiking and wonderful wildlife and views!

This was our first trip to the Tucson area and we were very pleased with how everything turned out on our visit. The casita is a cozy getaway for two and was very clean with all the amenities we were looking for especially the hot tub. The Cassons greeted us when we arrived and gave us a welcoming tour and some suggestions for things to do while in the Tucson area. We visited Mt. Lemmon, Old Tucson, the Arizona Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park and four challenging golf courses. This vacation lived up to all of our expectations.

We loved staying here. The casita is exactly as pictured. The location is perfectly located at the base of Mount Lemmon which was ideal for my husband who is a cyclist. Very quiet and peaceful. The private patio with grill and hot tub was great to have during a week long stay. Everything we needed was available to us in the casita. We could not have picked a better or more comfortable spot for our vacation. Michael and Alejandra are great hosts. We would definitely stay here again!!

This property is highly recommended for any couple looking for a very nice, clean, quiet location in the Tucson area. Exactly the type of property we desire from a HomeAway stay. The bed is comfortable, kitchen nicely stocked, gas grill a big plus, shower that can used by two and the all important private hot tub...and again, in a very quiet neighborhood. This is one of those properties one can be more than content staying on the property and never venturing out if desired!

Fantastic location and a fantastic casita

I stayed for a week and wished it was a month. The casita was immaculate and fully equipped with everything you would need. The hot tube was wonderful after some bike riding. Alejandra and Michael answered all enquiries and provided me with some great restaurant suggestions. The casita's location, in the foothills of Mt. Lemmon, was scenic and tranquil. Everything was easy to get to from that location. I hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

We had an amazing stay in this little Casita. The sweet host Alejandra gave us our privacy, and only came by a couple times when she had information we were needing, or to say goodbye and share our last sunset from the patio. The Casita was the most relaxing place weve ever stayed in, we listened to the coyote's in the mountains, every night, and it was surprisingly peaceful. Bed was super comfy. Hardly heard anything from the neighbors the whole time we were here. Did lots of activities, and always enjoyed comming back "home" to relax in the hot tub, watching the sun go down, and the sun rise again in the morning. We will miss this... Leaving this morning. But will be back!

Lovely place, lovely people - couldn't have had a better stay.
Absolutely gorgeous, private, immaculate and breathtaking.
If you like peace under the desert sky - you can't do better than this.

Great little guest house in the NW outskirts of Tucson. Just off the road to Mt. Lemmon (about 25 miles from the house to the top of Mt. Lemmon). Close to hiking in the Santa Catalina mountains. Very quiet location. A minimal but adequate kitchen but we were not there to cook. Great bathroom and shower. We were able to enjoy all of Tucson from this location and enjoyed the fact that it was not in town. We would stay again.

Paradise in Tucson!

I don't even know where to begin to describe our recent stay! Fell in love with this casita and its surroundings the minute we pulled into the driveway. The place is absolutely adorable and perfect for two people to just unwind. It is clean, well stocked and extremely comfortable with views that are even more amazing than the photos online show. The hot tub was a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The owners, Michael and Alejandra are such wonderful and helpful people. We would come back to Tucson just to stay here again. Don't even think twice about booking this casita....You will be happy you did!

We absolutely loved our stay! The Casita was beautiful, comfortable and
very well appointed. The view from the patio is outstanding! We spent the majority of our time out there, relaxing and enjoying nature. The owners are gracious and friendly. This has to be one of our all time favorite places we have ever stayed. The pictures are very accurate. We would go back here without hesitation. (Go Bearcats!!!)

The property was exactly as described. Very well appointed with Amazing views.
So serene and lovely to be living there, especially when arriving back there each day after a long tiring day out. It was well equipped with all the necessities we required. A Wonderful Tucson Casita

This was our fourth year at this wonderful casita. Everything about this place is excellent. Nicest owners - but respect your privacy. Spacious accommodation and very private. Views are breath-taking. Multiple excellent hiking trials a short distance away. We highly recommend for a Tucson getaway.

Michael and Alejandra were perfect host. Any questions or needs we had, they were quick to reply. The Casita is a spacious, lovely place to call home for your stay. The king -sized bed, the walk-in shower, the complete kitchen & washer/dryer fit our needs to a tee.

The owners make every attempt to make your stay comfortable. The patio is lovely, with a great view of Tuscon at night. Everything inside the unit was in great working order, nicely decorated, and had a good selection of cooking equipment. The bed was very comfortable and there is a great shower. We would happily stay here again.

This casita is exactly as described. You will not be disappointed. Fabulous views and great sunrises and sunsets from the property.
The bed is very comfortable and there is an ample supply of towels. The shower is excellent with a rainshower head and a conventional showerhead.Really nothing missing to make for a perfect stay. There are even strategically placed nightlights to assist in getting around an unfamiliar place at night. There is also a small library of books and DVDs to while away some time if needed.
As it was very hot during our October stay we did not see a great deal of wildlife but we did see deer, roadrunners and other birds, and even a great horned owl one evening. Nice to see the numerous dwarf citrus trees on the property laden with fruit.
The patio and hot tub areas have ample lighting so you can enjoy in the evening. Parking and paths are well lit.
Owners were very responsive to any questions and provided an excellent list of local amenities and detailed information on using the hot tub and grill.
This is a perfect property for two to enjoy Tucson and area
One thing to note is that the GPS on our rental could not successfully get us to the property. Use the excellent directions provided by the owners.

Catalina Foothills Paradise

This "Casita" offers a dream position in the middle of the Santa Catalina foothills atmosphere, surrounded by a forest of saguaro and other cacti. It is a very picturesque and comfortable lodging, with total privacy. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We spent a week there and would go back at the first opportunity.

Beautiful casita in Tucson Foothills

This was our first trip to Tucson so there was much to see and do. We were fortunate to be able to rent this beautiful casita for our stay! It's located in the quiet foothills in the Catalina area near the road that goes up to the Mt. Lemmon recreation area. The inside of the casita was immaculate with a large bedroom and bathroom with bath towels that smelled amazing. We grilled several nights and sat out on the back lanai with a glass (or two) of wine enjoying the view and city lights/stars. There are also many great restaurants around the Tucson area. We hiked in Sabino Canyon and on Mt. Lemmon both not far from the casita. The Arizona-Sonora Desert was a great introduction to desert life and vegetation. The owners are wonderful. We hope to return to Tucson and stay at Casita Bonita.

The perfect place for a couple

The location in the foothills is perfect for nature lovers and convenient to hiking in Sabino Canyon and Mt. Lemmon. The house is just lovely, and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets lounging in the hot tub after the day's activities. The owners are incredibly nice and will help with anything you need. We had a wonderful three-week stay.

AN AMAZING CASITA

We stayed at the Casita Feb. 15th to Feb. 25th 2017. The property was even nicer than the pictures and description described. It was immaculate and very comfortable. The view was truly one of a kind. We enjoyed sitting on the back lanai just taking in the beauty and watching the birds. We appreciated the serenity that this location provides. On several occasions we spoke with Alejandra and she was very sweet.and offered to assist us with any questions that we might have. All in all an extremely pleasant stay. We will definitely stay here again! The Kerns.

Not only was the casita everything that we wanted, but the owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. They never once bothered us, but were always available to answer questions and help out. Don't be turned off by the fact that the casita is right next to the the main house. The property is large, and you should have no worries about intrusion or awkwardness. It is a large casita too, with extra large bedroom and bathroom. The grill and entertaining space were awesome, and the views from the private hot tub are spectacular!
