  • Loved our stay!

    5 of 5

Our flight arrived very late in evening yet we were still met with a smile to show us around! We enjoyed MLB spring training games, local restaurants, an illusionist show and a boating adventure down the Canyon Lake. Everything was within reasonable driving distance and made so many memories!!!

We enjoyed our stay. The owner, Barbara was very kind and accomadating, she provided lots of extras my 2 boys and I enjoyed. The boys said she had the best popcorn 🍿! The property was very clean and had everything we needed. The neighbors were also very kind and gracious. The neighborhood is quiet but still very easy to access. We would stay there again.

  • Cute & Close to Everything!

    5 of 5

I had a wonderful experience staying at this little spot. It was quiet, comfortable, and had great access to ASU and Mill Ave. The host, Barbara, was very helpful when I came to finding my way around a new place and had great suggestions for nearby stores/transportation/etc. I will definitely stay here again!

  • Very nice cute place great location

    5 of 5

Barbara was a great host she was there to meet us even though our flights was delayed and we did not get in until after midnight. The place is great and she has it stocked with a handful of extras that were not expected but very much appreciated! The location is great very close to the airport and to Sloan park where the Cubs play!! We would book again the next time we come down!!

  • Conflicted.....

    1 of 5

Have stayed in other VRBO’s, one for six consecutive years, with great results. This unit has a nice owner, a cute kitchen/living area, and comfortable bed and sofa, so I am sad I cannot recommend it. If VRBO had posted exterior pictures, or if previous renters had mentioned these issues, we NEVER would have considered it. The unit is attached to a home in an older neighborhood with many neglected homes. This property was the worst. Front yard/renter parking areas are so extremely neglected, I cried at first sight. Had we not already paid, we would have kept driving without stopping. A cement mixer and many other things are stored in the driveway, some covered with blankets or burlap. Screen room, which renters walk through to get to rental, is a storage area, with more covered items. Back yard equals the front…but with a dog. There is no outside seating area. Only windows are in the kitchen, with a view of that back yard. Inside is better, but you must ‘come home’ to the depressing front yard/driveway/screen room. Barbara has put much-appreciated, thoughtful touches, especially in the kitchen, which offered everything we needed. Linens were nice. The area rugs on the concrete floor need cleaning. The ‘smart’ TV offers recordings, but no live TV. The location is not convenient to much, except maybe the ASU area. It is not walking distance to anything. Road work prevented a left turn at the ‘normal’ place, and without GPS one could never find the unit neighborhood. Posting this review hoping it helps others make informed decisions on what is comfortable for them.

  • A relaxing hideaway

    5 of 5

I live in the East Valley, roughly 45 min from ASU, and I had a conference to attend on campus, and needed something close by so I wouldn't have to fight morning or evening rush hour traffic. This gem worked perfectly for me and my needs. I could ride my bike mere blocks to the campus (GPS said it's a 6 minute bike ride, tops) and I had all the comforts of home. Barbara also provided me with large bottles of water, drinks, even a bowl of the most delicious chocolate candy. It was a nice, relaxing stay!

  • Tempe Stay

    5 of 5

Had a wonderful time in Tempe and this property enhanced my whole experience. It was centrally located to all the areas I was visiting. It was just the right size for my needs. The kitchen area had exactly what I needed for my stay and the bathroom was beautiful. Loved the shower. Bed was oh so comfortable! The pull out couch was a great spot for my daughter to stay the night before we headed out to Sedona for the day. Barbara was a wonderful host! I am certainly going to stay here the next time I am in town. Thanks Barbara for a wonderful stay!

  • Great Homebase for spring training

    5 of 5

I shared Barbara's place with my 28-year-old son on our low-budget spring training trip. The bed and modern sofa bed were quite comfortable. Lots of nice little touches like snacks, soda, bottled water, filtered water, body pillows and more. Barbara is very accommodating and friendly. The kitchenette served us well for preparing breakfasts and lunches. All in all, very modern, attractive and cozy. We would gladly stay here again on a future trip to Arizona.

  • Great place! Great host. Very convenient location to Mill Ave.

    5 of 5

Cute mother-in-law apt. Seperate entrance, parking and privacy. Barbara is a sweetheart and stocked the kitchen for us with, coffee, water, soda, beer and treats. Also let me check in and out late due to an evening flight. Overall a great affordable place to stay in Tempe.

  • Would definitely stay here again!

    5 of 5

Barbara has thought of everything - she was easily accessible by phone and messaging to any questions, she provided links to the bus line that runs nearby, the apartment had everything you could possibly need to stay overnight (shampoo, hair dryer, conditioner, lotion, Q-tips, pots and pans if you wanted to cook, a toaster oven, a microwave, etc...). She was there when I arrived and was so kind and so welcoming. It is definitely within walking distance of the Mill Avenue area of Tempe - banks, bars, restaurants, the light rail, shopping. I almost don't want to give her a good review because if I ever want to visit and stay in Tempe again and her place is not available, I will be very disappointed. The furnishings are warm and beautiful and the quilt on the bed was beautiful. The photos do not do her place justice. The heater in the apartment works great. The bath towels are big and fluffy. She had bottled water stocked on the contour and in the refrigerator, some snacks, paper towels, and a coffee and coffee maker. She allows you to park in the driveway not on the street. I highly recommend this apartment.

  • Nice tidy accommodations

    5 of 5

This is attached to a private home, but we felt we had all the privacy we needed as well as our own parking space off the street. It is a quiet residential neighborhood. The bedroom and bath are a little small, but fine for 2 people. TV was a smart TV, but not hooked up to cable, so no standard channels were available, but Netflix and others were fine. We were able to cook as needed. Small refrigerator, microwave, and hot plate if we needed. Pretty backyard to look at from the sink.

  • Cute and comfortable stay

    4 of 5

Barbara was there to meet us when we arrived. (Which we arrived early then the normal check in time. So this was really nice of her.) We had a late flight on the day we left and Barbara was very nice to offer to let us stay as long as we needed to. The place was easy to find and described exactly like the description. The location was safe, clean and quiet. ASU campus was close and the area offered restaurants and bars within walking distance. We also took advantage of the free shuttle. The pictures I do think make the place look a little bigger but that is too no ones fault. The place I think is perfect for 2 people. All the essentials and more were provided. We mainly used the place to sleep where we were out and about most of the day and night. Barbara was readily available when and if we needed her. I would highly recommend staying here and would 100% stay again. Great experience. Barbara is one of the reasons why I use sites like VRBO. It had a home feel and I think a better stay than a hotel.

  • Great value and location!

    5 of 5

My mom and I recently stayed here while visiting for a weekend as I was running in the Rock n Roll Arizona Half Marathon. This property was perfectly located and in a very quiet residential area. The apartment was tastefully decorated with nice little extras from the owner (snacks, drinks, and toiletries). The owner personally met us when we arrived and showed us around. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had plenty of room for the two of us; there was space for our rental car in the driveway. It was very clean and there was free wifi. I would HIGHLY recommend this property, and if I ever come back to this area I would definitely stay here again!
