Beautiful setting. The house was perfect for our family but the kitchen was very small and we needed to purchase a cooler. Enjoyed and would stay again.

  • that's actually a 4.5 star....

    4 of 5

We loved staying here. The accommodations were very comfortable. We were there for 2+ weeks and had 3 different sets of family and friends come while we were there. The beds are all very comfortable and we really appreciated the washer/dryer on site. The lack of full kitchen was a bit challenging but we figured it out and actually with the grill, hotplate and microwave we prepared some decent meals. Lou was a great host - responsive to our needs and requests, not to mention witty and friendly. The one thing that takes away a half a star is we could not get wifi in the guest house. We both had some work we had to do and this presented a challenge for us. Lou did his darnedest though to get it working but it just didn't happen. He did however give us a key to the "saloon" so we could get some access on the property which we appreciated. Thank you again Lou and Pam. Your warm hospitality was much appreciated. We hope Ciara had a successful birth. Best to you - Anna & Cary

  • Country style comfort

    5 of 5

Lovely home with amazing views in any direction clean and comfortable and just rural enough you feel as if you really have gotten away from it all.The Hosts are responsive and very helpful. We had a very pleasant stay will say this is not the place to be if you plan to do all your own cooking we didn't as we were visiting family and the cooking was done there or we ate out so it was fine there is a microwave and hotplate and coffee pot available so you can work it out if you need to but when on vacation I prefer not to have to cook really.

  • Clean, tastefully furnished, all conveniences, friendly owners.

    5 of 5

We were delightfully surprised with the spacious rooms and furnishings. Two bedroom/bathroom suites and two additional bedroons to share a 3rd bathroom. Quiet, secure with beautiful desert views. We heartily recommend the Rocking M Ranch! Geri and Steve Gardella, San Diego

  • perfect AZ escape

    5 of 5

Terrific place. Wonderful house with good south west vibes and horse decor. Property and owners are lovely and property is adjacent to the stunning Saguaro National Park. Stayed here for just a few days with our 2-year old son. Very family friendly. Only drawback was not having a stove top or full kitchen, but there is a grill, coffeepot, sink, dishes and great southwest takeout locations in short driving distance. hope to stay longer next time.

  • Very comfortable and great Tucson location

    5 of 5

Again, another great stay at The Rocking M Ranch. Lou and Pam are such gracious hosts and we love the guest house for our Tucson stay. There is plenty of room for our large family and friends. There is also camping site available which accommodates our friends with campers. We love the peacefulness out in this NW Tucson desert location near Saguaro National Monument and even had an extra treat this trip with the full moon eclipse. With the darkness around us, a great location to see this event. Thank you again, Lou and Pam for another wonderful stay.

10 of us had the pleasure to stay for several days and thoroughly enjoyed doing so. The home is very comfortable, with beds and bedding equal to the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The sun warmed us in the morning , shining into the front courtyard which made morning coffee times, enjoyable. Later in the day, the back porch was completely shaded and made for a nice quiet place to sit and read. Wildlife abounds from the park, which lies just behind this home. Daily, we heard or saw, coyotes, javelina and multiple bird types including a young owl who perched inside the courtyard on our first night there. The owner, Mr Mindes , was present on the property but not intrusive in any way. He was quite friendly ,personable and could be heard playing his guitar and singing on a few occasions , from the comfort of his home. The quiet surrounding this home at night is very calming, only interrupted occasionally by the yapping of a coyote . Truly a relaxing get away. Each person in our party has declared this home the place to stay when returning to Tucson . I completely agree.

  • Perfect for our needs

    5 of 5

My family and I were planning my dad's 80th birthday and decided to have a party central house for those of us coming from out of town. We found this place and it ended up being perfect for our needs. The owners were extremely accommodating helping us with extra tables and chairs for our small party. The area and the property we're perfect. The setup of the house worked well for those that we're staying there. If the need arises we will definitely stay there again.

  • Great location, everything as described.

    4 of 5

I wish the owner was little bit more responsive. Kitchen could have been much better had there been a portable induction cooktop and along with few pots and pans for families who plan to stay for few days. Apart from these, this is a 5 star property for sure.

  • Rustic Tucson Guest House

    4 of 5

Guest house is located on ranch property in very natural setting with cactus gardens. The owners have horses and we were very fortunate that one was born the night before we arrived. Helped to give a true "American Southwest" experience. Property was a good location for visiting Old Tucson Studios and Arizona Senora Dessert Museum. There are some restaurants within a 15 min drive (kitchen has microwave and small fridge which is fine for breakfast and lunch). We stayed for only two nights and did not venture into "downtown" Tucson area. We wanted to stay in a rural location rather than in a suburb...which we have at home. You definitely need a car to get around (we had a rental).

  • Awesome adventure

    5 of 5

Great Tucson location, so near to everything, yet "out and away" from it all. We loved watching the hot air balloons on the weekend mornings against the hills of Saguaro NP. The house accommodated our family well and everyone had lots of space to relax in. We are a "cooking" family and that was the part we had to get "creative" on, but managed to make the small "kitchen" area work for that as well. I loved taking my dog for morning walks around the neighborhood. Pam and Lou are gracious hosts and we will be returning again and again..

  • Girl's weekend with horses

    5 of 5

Our riding group decided to head in a different direction and we travel to the Rocking M ranch! We had a fabulous time! You won't be disappointed by Rocking M's guest house & horse facilities. We rode every day and had time in the evening to venture out for dinner. Lou was great to work with! We hope to be back in February!
