  • Lovely home with lovely hosts

    5 of 5

Ralph, Bernie and Fred (the dog) felt like family after a two night stay in their beautiful home, which is really a bed and breakfast environment. Comfy bed and great food. Good advice on traveling in the Flagstaff/Grand Canyon area. Would definitely recommend!

  • Loved it! We'll be back soon.

As most of the other reviews have covered the property and features, I'll just focus on our hosts: They were absolutely wonderful! From the quick replies to our emailed questions to the warm welcome when we arrived, our experience couldn't have been any better. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly or helpful (gave us great info about area restaurants and locations for viewing the chaning colors). Freddy, their cute little white dog, greeted us in the mornings, but was unobtrusive otherwise. We stayed in the downstairs room which was very nicely decorated and equipped with a beautiful in-suite bathroom. The whole house is gorgeous, upscale, yet homey and comfortable and immaculately clean. There are great views of the golf course and forest from the living room, which is typically a quiet refuge if you want catch up on your email or read a book. Breakfasts were delicious and an opportunity to visit with the other guests (one other room upstairs). After just two days, we feel like they are not just great hosts, but good friends! We will certainly be coming back soon!

Ralph is an amazing host and breakfast was so yummy! My hubby loved the morning coffee and the talks. Ralph was very informative about the history of flagstaff and things to do. The home is stunning, we felt right at home. Thank you Ralph for having us!!.

  • Fantastic value for a beautiful B & B

    5 of 5

We were very impressed with this comfortable B & B in a private gated community just 2 miles west of Northern Arizona University. The home, which sits on a tree-lined fairway, is large and beautifully decorated. Each spacious bedroom has its own private bathroom and shower. Breakfasts included a nice choice of eggs, meats, breads, and/or pancakes. Ralph offered valuable insights on sight-seeing, dining, and leisure options in the area. All-in-all, a great value that exceeded our expectations.

  • Beautiful home, comfy accommodations

    5 of 5

We and a couple of our friends rented both rooms in the Whistler home. We had the downstairs room near the kitchen and it was perfect. Attached bathroom, and very comfy queen bed. Ralph and his wife were very sweet and left all the essentials for us. They had to leave in the AM, but gave us free reign over the kitchen to cook a big breakfast — which we did! Great stay, would highly recommend if you want to be out of the city a little bit where you can see all the stars at night!

  • Great spot

    5 of 5

The home was beautiful, the neighborhood great and the owner was a bonus. Friendly and entertaining but never imposing. Great place to go for relaxing, a walk along a beautiful golf course or to take a trip to the many scenic areas nearby. Close to town and yet a nice private feel to the area. Highly recommend.

  • Charming proprietors, sweet pup, comfortable stay!

    5 of 5

If you're lucky enough to stay with Ralph and Bernadette you'll get the pleasure of a professional, well-coordinated reservation process, a sweet greeting from Freddie the Westie upon arrival, very clean, comfortable (and GORGEOUS) accommodations, and the absolute most delightful opportunity to eat a delicious, home-cooked breakfast and chat with Ralph and Bernadette! The house sits within a gated community that felt very safe, and after a quick check-in at the guard house, was only a quick minute drive. The downstairs bedroom I stayed in had the MOST comfortable bed and a beautiful attached bathroom. A space heater is in the bedroom if needed, and you're close to the kitchen to smell the coffee and breakfast kick-off in the morning. :) If my travels bring me back to Flagstaff, I'll surely stay here again! Thanks again, Ralph and Bernadette!!

  • Fantastic experience!

    5 of 5

Ralph and Freddie were exceptional hosts! Being our first time in Arizona, it was wonderful to be able to gather recommendations from Ralph. The house is absolutely magnificent and Ralph's warm hospitality made us feel right at home immediately. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations. The walking path around the golf course was absolutely beautiful! The gated community was very quiet and safe, we felt very comfortable parking our rental car in the driveway. Ralph's location has perfect access to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and Sedona. Both mornings, Ralph made a fantastic breakfast and was the perfect touch! I would HIGHLY recommend this VRBO! We will most certainly be staying here again if we are in the area!!! Thank you, Ralph and Freddie! - Brittany and Max

  • Gorgeous! Immaculate! Lovely decor!

    5 of 5

Stayed for just one night while in the area. Our host, Ralph, greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home, as did Freddie! Our accommodations very perfect and we would return again without hesitation. Ralph served us a wonderful breakfast and joined us around the kitchen island in good conversation. Next time we will look forward to meeting Bernadette.

  • Great house in a quiet location

    4 of 5

There is a community gate house that you check-in at and obtain an entry pass. The guard directs you to the house. Parking was located in the driveway right by the front door. The owner Ralph greeted us upon arrival. Ralph is very friendly and immediately gave us a tour of the house. There are 2 bedrooms to stay in at this house. The upstairs bedroom is over the garage by the front of the house making this an isolated room. So if you want privacy and don't mind climbing stairs to the 2nd fllor this room is for you. The downstairs bedroom is just down the hall from the 2nd floor stairs, the kitchen, and living room. Both bedrooms have an attached bathroom. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom. Either bedroom would be satisfactory to your stay. The common area of the house are large and comfortable. Good seating in the living room and upstairs TV room. Kitchen is large and well equipped. A large gas fireplace in the living room was perfect for sitting on the hearth and warming up after an outdoor walk. We were there in January and a recent snowstorm left over a foot of snow on the ground. We came equipped with snowshoes and went for a hike out the back to the adjoining National Forest. I imagine a good hike is possible even with no snow on the ground in the warmer months. Breakfast on the morning we were there consisted of pancakes and a fruit salad with OJ. The pancakes were all you could eat. The meal was delicious. If I had to pick a negative to point out it would be the furnace seems to be located near the downstairs bedroom as the heat coming from the registers is very warm. The register in the bedroom was closed but still had very warm air coming out. The bathroom register was like standing under a hair dryer. Some people may find this comfortable especially when the outside temps were in the teens but it was a bit on the warm side for me. I would stay at this location again in the future. Thanks Ralph for being a wonderful host.
