  • Quiet, lovely area and property west of the Tucson Mtns.

    5 of 5

We were very pleased with our accomodations. Olivia was very helpful prior to our arrival, answering all our questions. Unfortunately, we had to leave 4 days into our stay due to an emergency. And unfortunately, the trip cancellation insurance that we had purchased via VRBO did not reimburse us. We were told that it only applied if we had to cancel BEFORE arriving. Very frustrating! I just want people to be aware of that. Not any fault of the property owner. Would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys quiet and the beauty of the desert. Thank you, Olivia.

  • Super desert experience!

    5 of 5

My family of six, including husband, two adult daughters and grandsons, 7 and 9, enjoyed a terrific desert experience for 6 days. The house accomodated us perfectly. All the kitchen gear we could have asked for were provided, including a cooler and thermal bag for packing lunches. We appreciated having an ice maker, too! Beds were comfortable and both bathrooms were well equipped. The boys enjoyed exploring the desert right outside the front door and watching quail and rabbits. The weather wasn't terrific but we certainly made the most of our time together. We were visiting our family scattered all over Tucson but had opportunities to take advantage of adventures at the Sonoran Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park West and hiking in the Tucson Mountain Park. We came prepared with essential groceries but were out and about to access grocery stores as needed. Olivia was a great communicator and provided info when requested. We had a wonderful family time in her beautiful, spotless Desert Oasis.

Very comfortable home in glorious desert setting. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets with glittering starlit evenings, Kitchen was well equipped with items needed such as spices, coffee and creamers. Excellent signage and directions to destination. Pictures in website were truthful representation of home. We got just what we wanted, a picture perfect Arizona desert experience.

  • Superb House in a Superb Location!

    5 of 5

Wonderful house and very well equipped. All the advantages of adjoining Saguaro National Park. Javelinas, hawks, go to sleep with coyotes howling in the distance. All the best desert flora right outside your doors and windows. The house is very quiet and comfortably furnished (tempurpedic mattress in the bedroom, excellent crockery and cutlery. There is an outdoor propane barbecue and a blender for margaritas. The owner, Olivia, is never intrusive but always an email away I you need anything. This as the best experience we ever had with VacationRental. We will definitely be back.

  • Exactly What We Wanted!!

    5 of 5

This property was fantastic! We wanted a quiet place to go after a long day of filming and this was just the right place! Very private, close to some great hiking trails and just a 30 minute drive to the city. Amazingly clean! The cleanest rental that I have ever stayed in. The renter’s manual was very thorough with information on the home and nearby activities. The master bedroom is very large and there was plenty of closet space in each bedroom. The kitchen is very organized and functional. I would definitely recommend this property and I will definitely try to stay there the next time we are in Tucson.

  • Wonderful home near Saguaro NP West

    5 of 5

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. The house is wonderful. It has everything you could possibly need. It is clean and comfortable. The location is very close to Saguaro NP West and there are many hiking opportunities within a 10 minute drive. It's quiet and peaceful. We enjoy having breakfasts and lunches outside on the patio. There are lots of windows and light, which is important to us. The kitchen is well stocked. We eat most meals at home. I would highly recommend this home if you want to be on the west side of Tucson.

  • Stunning sunset and sunrise views

    5 of 5

This is the perfect retreat in the middle of the Sonoran desert. Close to Saguaro National Park, Old Tucson and the Desert Museum. If you are looking to get away from it all, relax, watch amazing sunsets and stargaze at night, this is the perfect vacation property for you. After a busy day exploring Tucson, you will want to make sure you are back “home” an hour before sunset. The sunsets are quite spectacular and you won’t want to miss them. The king bed in the master suite was very comfortable. Olivia was a great host, quickly responsive with any questions we had. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals. The house is short 30 minute drive from I-10/Tucson, so you will want to make sure you have everything you need with you when you arrive. A quick trip to the grocery store is not an option, so check and make sure you have everything you need prior to your arrival.

  • Beautiful and quiet!

    4 of 5

The house is lovely, perfect size for family of six. Location was so peaceful and close to all the places we wanted to visit. Unfortunately the memory foam mattresses was not our style, so sleeping was uncomfortable. My hubby sweat so much that he ended up on the floor on the available air mattress. Kids loved it. Toys for my five year old. Nice outside area fenced in. No neighbors around. It was all about the location. Desert museum, Old Tucson, and the Saguaro National Park are all in that area. Kids loved it all. Shopping for groceries in Tucson is 30 minutes away. But drive careful on that road, very narrow and unsafe.

  • Beautiful and Peaceful

    5 of 5

We spent almost a week at this lovely home. It is out of the way in a beautiful setting. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were seeking. There are neighbors near, however we did not see anyone or hear any noise from them (other than from the coyotes!) The location is outside the city, close to Saguaro National Park and the Desert Museum which was perfect for us as we wanted to be near nature, not inside the city. It was about a 20 minute drive to the city, which didn't bother us in the least. The home is roomy and was very clean and had many more of the extras provided than we expected. The instructions for getting to the home and checking in and out were easy and Olivia, the owner answered each question I had quickly and made sure we knew she was available should any issues or emergencies arise while we were there. We felt comfortable and welcome in this home and we would not hesitate to return if we vacation in the area in the future. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a natural paradise .

  • Perfect place to soak up saguaros & sunsets!

    5 of 5

We recently spent 3 nights here and loved it. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for - something a bit more remote with a fantastic view of the beautiful Sonoran desert. Very conveniently located for visiting Saguaro NP West and the Desert Museum! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well-appointed too. Highly recommend!

  • On the edge of magic...

    5 of 5

This lovely house, was just next to a large swath of undeveloped saguaro desert. Ideally located near the Desert Museum and the National Park, it was just he place for "nature lovers." Each night we were there a different visitor: Day one a great horned owl, day two a coyote family singing after sunset, day 3 javelins moving by as we barbequed. On our last morning, , a pair of coyotes. One stopped to observe me through the sturdy fence that surrounded the property. With birds in the cacti, amazing sunsets, worth the price.

  • Lovely, comfortable and well equipped.

    5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at this home. The property was clean and well cared for and provided everything we needed. We enjoyed the barbecue and the lawn furniture while taking in the lovely view. The neighborhood wasn’t quite what we expected but the privacy and view from the back more than made up for it. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

  • Beautiful Location

    5 of 5

This is a nice home located in a desert subdivision and the surrounding environment of saguaros are really nice to see first thing in the morning. It’s nice and quiet, even with neighbors nearby, we hardly even noticed them there. Be sure to bring all of your groceries, beverages and snacks with you before you get there because it’s quite a drive to the store. The kitchen is very nice and well equipped for cooking meals. The master bedroom and bathroom are spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The living room has a comfortable couch and the TV is new as well as the washer and dryer. My husband and I were unfortunate enough to have come during a 3 day rain storm and we are not the type to go to bars, etc. for entertainment at night so we tend to watch movies. The satellite TV is a very basic package so we ran to a rental kiosk multiple times which was a 20 minute drive away. If you are with a group this probably wouldn’t be a bother or if you are someone who enjoys a good book. Olivia was very pleasant as a hostess, she gives you privacy but is available for anything you may need. The information provided is thorough and helpful. The location of the house is perfect for hiking - there are several good hiking trails nearby as well as the Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park. It’s a beautiful surrounding. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully our next visit will be a little drier!

  • Desert Dream

    5 of 5

Three of us stayed at this lovely home for three nights. It is spacious and inviting, immaculate and beautifully furnished. We had plenty of room to spread out, everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The owner was gracious and helpful and made sure everything was in order. Some may consider it "out of the way" but we loved the location! Surrounded by desert, we enjoyed fabulous sunrises/sunsets, coyotes singing, amazing night skies. Very close to the west side of Saguaro National Park and the Museum of the Sonoran Desert, as well as easy access to the interstate for trips elsewhere. Highly recommend to others looking for a true desert location!

  • Peaceful, desert oasis!

    5 of 5

Olivia has created an oasis in the desert for her renters! You immediately feel that you have come to a "home" and not just a vacation rental! It is spotlessly clean, furnished with thought and care. The kitchen has more spices than I have at home! The dishes, flatware and cooking utensils all match and were purchased just for this house, not the odds & ends that we've found in some rentals. Brand new memory foam mattress feels great after a day of hiking! For a 3 week stay it was perfect for us to relax into a routine of living out in the desert. You are truly "in" the desert; complete with the nightly sounds of coyotes & owls; the night sky so dark that the stars are a blanket above you; the sunrises and sunsets are so unique to the wide open western sky - simply spectacular every day! Native saguaro cactus on the property to marvel at. Close proximity to Saguaro National Park West, Tucson Mountain Park and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum; perfect for hiking. Be aware that the benefit of being close to those things means that you are 30 minutes drive to the edge of the city - not a negative as long as you know to plan accordingly for grocery shopping and evenings out.

  • Nicely located fully-equipped home near Saguaro National Monument

    5 of 5

The location and accommodations were perfect for our interest and needs. Close proximity to the Park and Tuscon proper allowed for a variety of activities from visiting the AZ Sonoran Desert Museum to dining in the city. A good portion of the time was just spent enjoying the plants and wildlife on the property itself. There are neighbors within visual range, but I did not see anyone for the few days we were there. It was a great break from the mid-west winter. I would strongly recommend this location as a great get-away destination.

  • House in the desert

    4 of 5

The house is very spacious, was perfectly clean and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable vacation. There were lots of different supplies, convenient since there are no stores near by. Location is at about 30 min drive from Tucson center but quite close to the Sonoran Desert Museum. Since we knew the location before booking that was no surprise. The only down side was the weak or absent cell phone signal and the open, unsecured WiFi connection to the internet.

  • I would give it 10 stars

House was clean, well stocked with conveniences, modern, and beautifully located in the desert. Very close to the Sonora Desert museum and National Park. We couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you Olivia.

  • Zen home truly relaxing

    5 of 5

Beautiful location - beautiful house. Impeccably equipped and immaculately clean. We were able to prepare a full Thanksgiving meal for nine [including five guests] with only the addition of some disposable roasting pans and, of course, the food ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys some relative solitude, peace and quiet.

  • Lovely quiet retreat in a beautiful home...

    5 of 5

We booked the house to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday, making room for our out of town guests to stay. We all shared dinners there both nights. The kitchen is well equipped, and even has most of the spices you might require! The house is comfortable, the beds are great, and checking in and out was a breeze.

We loved our stay at this property. The house was clean and well maintained. The furniture and beds were all comfy. The kitchen had plenty of prep space and was well equipped. We love the desert and the Saguaro Park and Desert Museum are close.

  • Quiet location; house completely furnished and comfortable

    5 of 5

The location of our rental house offered complete privacy and quiet - except for the coyotes a few nights! It was completely furnished - including shampoo and soap in the bathrooms and basic spices in the kitchen. We only had to buy our food items and then kick back and relax. Everything was wonderful.
