 5.0   -   Great place!

This is small, cute, quiet place to stay. One bed and a bunk bed, so you could fit a few ppl in there. It was neat, clean, stocked with towels, and things like soap. I forgot soap, so I was grateful to see that there. Nice location and near some great hiking spots. I´d stay again if I were ever in the area.

My cousin and I made a road trip north from my home in El Mirage, AZ. (San was visiting me from MN.... brrrr!) I found Ed's stone cottage through VRBO while searching for a place near the Grand Canyon and other nearby attractions. We couldn't have found a more delightful or convenient place if I'd searched for months! The cottage was cozy with ample room and wonderfully located so we could visit Sedona, Williams and the canyon during the day and return to our snug home away from home in the evenings. Thank you, Ed!!

We loved staying here! It was cozy and comfortable and had everything that we needed. The communication was excellent; and, the whole process was as smooth as could be. Also, in the cabin there were great directions for how to work things and where to find things. We will be back!

Another wonderful visit! I can't say enough good things about the cabin. It is so well-equipped, thoughtfully designed, comfortable, cozy, and clean...this is by far our preferred place to stay in Flagstaff when we attend NAU events. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and the beds are super comfy. 6 minutes to the Flagstaff mall and movie theater, 6 min to our favorite breakfast place, easy access to the highways, 10 minute or so to NAU. The hosts are helpful, friendly, and responsive.

5.0   -   Super cute, clean, and comfortable cabin with lots of amenities!

I came to Flagstaff with my 3 kids for a quick trip to play in the snow and our cabin stay was perfect! The cabin has a bunk bed with a full and twin sized mattress, a day bed with an additional pull out underneath, a large full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and the kitchen area has a full-sized fridge, stove, and microwave. The cabin also has all the cookware and utensils you need, an outdoor grill, Roku TV, and a great covered patio. I was really impressed with all the amenities, how clean everything was, and how wonderful the owner, Ed, was! He was very prompt with getting me all the check in/check out information and was extremely helpful and kind when I needed to come back to look for my son's lost hat. I would absolutely stay here again! It was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Thanks for everything Ed!

 4.0   -   Comfortable cottage
Reviewed on Nov 14, 2018
This old stone cottage with modern additions worked great for a two night stay. The location gave us easy access to everything we wanted, and the space was perfect for two people (or three). Everything was very clean, check-in was easy, and the beds were comfortable. My only reservation was the cottage's location right beside two houses in a neighborhood next to a busy road, but we didn't hear a sound out of the other houses, and the cottage felt very private and quiet in its interior.

This cabin had everything that I needed. It was clean and cozy. I enjoyed my stay! Ed was great and very helpful. He responded right away if I needed anything. It was quite cold when I was there and both heaters worked great. There were many blankets available in the cabin if you get cold easily, like me! It was such a nice place to curl up with a warm beverage, a few blankets, and a good book. It is close to Buffalo Park and Walnut Canyon National Monument, both equally beautiful to explore! I would recommend this to solo travelers. I will come back again when I am in the Flagstaff area.

My husband and I stayed in the cabin for a 3 day get away to visit the Grand Canyon and other surrounding sites. The cabin was clean and felt very homey. It was the right size for the two of us. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee at the quaint kitchen table. Though it was near a busy road, we did not hear the traffic. We were gone most of the day and were delighted to come back to the cabin at night for a good night sleep. It was so nice to have a full size bathroom equipped with towels, shampoo/soap and a blow dryer! Ed was very hospitable and helpful; making sure we knew the turns to take to get to the cabin as well as easiest way to cross the hwy. He also made himself available for any questions or help that was needed. We would definitely stay at this cabin again!

I love historical buildings so I enjoyed my short stay in this old Flagstaff cabin. I found the bed comfortable and the kitchen quite functional with pretty much everything we needed to prepare meals. It was quiet at night which meant a good night's sleep, and close enough to the main street to make exploring Flagstaff and surrounding area very convenient. Ed was helpful and responded to our one and only concern very quickly....lost internet for a while, which, for a 14 year old boy, was unbearable! (LOL) Great place to stay and would certainly recommend it to others who are looking for something unique and different than a hotel chain!

This place is cute. We had our baby with us, and we had to get pretty creative since the bedroom (where she slept) is in between the living room (where we slept) and the bathroom (where we obviously had to go:). The bathroom had an automatic light, but we worked it out:) We would love to return here. Great option near old town--where we love to go--but with a cozy feel. Sweet little spot!

The cabin was well stocked with everything I needed, from shampoo to coffee. It was clean and everything worked as it should. The cross breezes the windows provided were amazing and there was even an AC unit in the bedroom! The covered porch was my favorite place to hang out and look at Mt. Elden. Ed was easy to communicate with and kept me informed as time grew closer to my visit.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Everything was nice and clean and the kitchen had all we needed. My only suggestion might be to get rid of the kitchen table in favor of an extra chair and coffee table/end table? Not that we watched much TV but it was hard for 2 adults to watch a movie and share the bed space comfortably, not a big deal, just a suggestion. The cabin was close to everything and easy to find, enjoyed our trip! Thanks!

Perfect option for anyone wanting to stay at a quiet place close to the nearby National Monuments - Wupatki & Sunset Crater and is only about 75 miles from the South RIm of the Grand Canyon! Another great thing is it's an easy drive into Flagstaff's fun downtown area with its all-day free parking (near the train-station). The Cottage is spotless and well-stocked. Loved the gas stove (I regularly use an electric stove). Internet Service was excellent. Did not use the TV but assume it's fine as well. Thanks Ed & Dawn
