  • The view was beautiful

    4 of 5

The house was beautiful, the pool was beautiful and the view was lovely. Every morning with coffee my husband and I would watch the sun rise. The teens enjoyed selfie posting by the pool also lol But we had our week planned with more things we did not see last visits, so Friday was a lounge at the house day & order out . The landscapers showed up early morning. Had to finish out coffee inside. And then decided to go have breakfast and walk the park by the fountain. Came back around 11:30/12 and they were gone. Got on swim suites came out to lay by pool. Thirty minutes later, they came back. And were there most of the afternoon. Kinda ruined that day. I would say poor planning on my part but we were not told about this on arrival or prior. But we did rent the house to enjoy outside. We would have planned our days different. Also there was entirely to much softener put in the water system. We love Arizona and loved the area of Fountain Hills. Some great local restaurants and the park was nice. I never heard of disc golf, that was fun to watch. Anyway thank you for a lovely home to stay.

  • Back Again

    5 of 5

This is the third time we've had the opportunity to stay at this home in Fountain Hills and of course, enjoy it very much. From the furnishings, cleanliness and comfort to the quiet peaceful setting, we launched off from the home each day to enjoy the great outdoors hiking and biking. Returning at the and of a long day on the trails to the relaxation of the pool and tub is perfect. The local stores, restaurants and services provide us everything we need. The entire support process of booking through to arrival and check-out was easy, seamless and trouble free. We'll be back again!

  • Relaxing family vacation!

    5 of 5

Our stay in Fountain Hills was amazing! The views were beautiful; neighborhood quiet and peaceful. We did a lot of driving to see the Grand Canyon and ASU Lacrosse games and were able to come back to a relaxing home with comfortable beds and a bubbling hot tub! Will definitely be back!

  • Unbelievable Views

    5 of 5

We were here for 3 weeks and enjoyed the house and all it had to offer. The views of the downtown area, the fountain and the mountains are what we came for and it did not let us down. The owners and property manager were readily available and assisted us when questions arose. The layout of the house made for a great experience. The Master bedroom and bath are separated from the two guest bedrooms and bath making it condusive for families or guests. For what it’s worth, we got to see 4” of wet snow and it was beautiful! Especially in the palm trees. We want to come back!

  • Everything we wanted and more

    5 of 5

This was our second time staying at this property. The interior renovations were very nice and the pool with the awesome view outstanding. The home is very close to everything we enjoy including the local hiking and mountain biking trails. The local property manager Linda was very nice and helpful. Everything was trouble free right from the start of our stay. The home is comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Sitting out on the deck under the stars watching the fountain in the distance was beautiful....great value. Great local restaurants when you don't feel like cooking...If you like Mexican food try El Encanto on Suguaro. Love to go back again.

  • Never wanted to Leave

Beautiful home, super comfy with all the amenities you need. It was amazing to sit out on the patio at 106 and not be hot! Great breeze and the views- oh my, the views. One of my favorite morning things was watching the sunrise while the quail walk around the pool! Had a minor malfunction with spa but thanks to Linda it was fixed the next day. Super clean home with an Indian keeping watch- the garbage/recycle cans can take you for a ride but you get some exercise! Would absolutely recommend this home!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is ideal, the view is spectacular, the property is well maintained and recently remodeled. The pool and hot tub are amazing. The owners Eric and Jeanette along with their property manager Linda were very helpful and provided immediate response to our needs and questions. We liked it so much we have already booked our vacation for next year.

  • Expectations and disappointment

    2 of 5

This property gets 2 stars because of the nice pool and the views towards Four Peaks and the fountain. Everything else we consider a run down property with careless maintenance, cheap appliances, missing TLC (tender loving care), broken patio furniture, peeling off of paint and a not at all welcome feeling when you enter the home. - We arrived after having driven 3400 miles in 5 days, but still at daylight, which was favorable given the fact that the key to the house is in a lockbox at the rear entrance, which makes you walk uphill/downhill over gravel to the rear patio, which could be an adventure at nighttime. There was no bathroom tissue, no Kleenex, no kitchen paper towels, no (clean) towels, the A/C was turned off (inside temp at 90F), no hair dryer, flip flops and dirty socks on the hearth, rotten food in the fridge, more dirty clothing in the walking closet and garbage bags filled with dirty laundry all over the house. The next day a new cleaning crew was called in and it took them hours to at least get the inside liveable, while sending pictures to the owner about burn stains in sinks (this is a non smoking property, but we found cigarette buds all over the place) and the overall condition of the house. - Stained food on plates and a pan was sitting in the dishwasher, and in the cabinets. We bought towels for the bathroom and kitchen and got reimbursed for them and a reimbursement for the inconvenience which was less than the cleaning fee that we were charged. We managed with ONE pool towel! There are no cushions for the patio furniture and the outside dining chairs give a feeling of rocking chairs, but they are simply worn out, others have torn lining. Out of the three sliding patio doors two were jammed/unusable. - There is a plumbing problem at the kitchen sink because one day we had clear water coming up, sitting in the sink and ended up sitting in the dishwasher, having rusty baskets/trays, which is disgusting in itself. - We used the kitchen only for preparing basic breakfast and went out for dinner. Dinnerware and glassware are less than basic. - The internet connection is fast but breaks down frequently on a daily basis and needs to be rebooted every time. - This 11 day stay at this property was overall disgusting and, when renting through VRBO ever again, we first check out a property while staying at a hotel, we travel during shoulder season where this is possible.

  • Quiet, comfortable, relaxing and convenient.

    5 of 5

My wife and I have been vacationing in the Phoenix area for over 8 years now. Over the years we have grown to like the Fountain Hills area. We like to hike and mountain bike so staying within 30 minutes of some of the best trails in the valley was very convenient. We were looking for a home to rent in Fountain Hills that had a pool, privacy, view and was quiet and comfortable. Eric's home met all our criteria and we were very pleased with our decision. The two weeks went by all too quickly, but we enjoyed every minute. The home is very neat and clean, nicely furnished and has a nice southwest Arizona feel in what we thought was a perfect location. The neighborhood was quiet, safe and the people we met in the community very friendly. We spent hours in the pool and out on the deck soaking up the sun and the view which was outstanding. You can see the famous fountain from the deck which looks amazing in the evening under the stars. There are some really good restaurants in the local area within a 5-minute drive from the house. There are a few Supermarkets close by as well...we liked Fry's. Scottsdale is a short 20 minute drive away if you want to take in a movie, shop or site see. Driving up/down the steep driveway was no problem at all in our SUV. My driveway at home is similar, so I felt right at home. Eric was very responsive when we had questions or needed assistance. We can't wait to go back again....loved it.

  • Fountainhills house.

    1 of 5

My husband and I rented this house last winter (2015) for 5 months. Absolute disaster from arrival day. Maintenance on this house neglected with constant break downs. Sinks and toilets blocked and leaking, stove garbarator broken, had to be replaced.garage door broken.Spa heater broken, then service stopped as bills not paid.TV sound hopeless hooked to one old speaker. No lights in large cupboard, no replacement bulbs. On and on, lovely setting but neglected house. No king size blanket for bed, no lights outside Inadequate kitchen utensils etc, burnt pot, fire not working, house just a disgrace to be rented in this condition. Only 2 patio chairs plus an old table set with unsafe chairs. Everything should have been checked before renting, worst house in 11 years of renting , Talked to owner constantly who at end of rental was going to compensate us for this ongoing situation, have never heard a thing to this date ! Have a larger list of all the bad maintenance problems in this rental,. Amazing views but completely disgusting rental, badly neglected maintenance being the main problem throughout the house.

  • King of the Hill

    5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at the Lantana property for almost 3 months in the summer of 2015 while we waited to close on our own house here in Fountain Hills. During this time we became intimately familiar with the property. It is by far one of the best houses we’ve stayed in. First the views, they are absolutely amazing. From the patio you have unobstructed views of the mountains, four peaks and the Fountain. If that’s not enough, you can get true panoramic views from the rooftop patio. The long lap pool was excellent for exercising and it’s heated if you’re coming in the winter. The furniture, although slightly older is all top end and highly comfortable. The décor of the house is tastefully done in a traditional South Western style. Also, the owner recently updated to flat screen TV’s if you do choose to stay indoors. I work from home and the internet connection was a respectable 50 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up and Verizon cell phone reception was rock solid. The house is on a quiet street but conveniently located within 5 minutes’ drive / 15 minutes’ walk to a grocery store. The only thing to be aware of is that because the driveway is so step, most regular cars will have difficulty getting to the top. However, there is plenty of parking below if you don’t mind a 30 second hike to the top. Lastly, the owner of the property is very friendly, courteous and promptly addressed all of our needs. Highly recommended!!!

  • Beautiful, Tranquil Setting

    4 of 5

This house is certainly one of a kind. From the spectacular views and swimming pool to roof top deck. On a cul de sac, this is an extremely quiet neighborhood. The view of the fountain was a treat and the house was quite comfortable and much bigger than it appeared in the photos online. Furniture very comfortable and higher end. This is perfect get away house. It does take about 20 minutes to get into Scottsdale which was where we were visiting family. The kitchen was adequate. We had trouble with the cable and wifi upon arrival, but Eric was able to resolve. Home is perfect if you are looking for some quiet time. We did have dinner at nearby Alchemy - just spectacular.

  • What an excellent home to stay in!

    5 of 5

I absolutely love staying in this home. Where a lot of homes have decks and pools that are nice, this home has a 46 foot lap pool that is engineered into the hillside on the front of the home! So, while swimming you enjoy the view of the Fountain when it goes off, the mountains and sunsets on range. very cool. The views are spectacular. Decent cooking accomodations, classy furniture, wifi and cable tv, nice artwork on the walls also make it nice . The owner is accomodating and honest to work with...
