  • Great place to stay

    5 of 5

I highly recommend this little place, it has a lot of family history, I felt very much at home. The owner Bonnie and Deb her assistant were always at hand if needed. Thank you ladies.

  • Review of stay

Was ok. Dogs at times an issue. Needed some maintenance. Location good.

  • It was a wonderful place to stay and Bonnie was very helpful.

    5 of 5

We came to Tucson for a family wedding and we were very happy with the charm and functionality of the house. Our family consisted of a set of grandparents, our adult daughter, son-in-law and our four and two year old grandchildren. Bonnie had the house filled with age appropriate books and toys and she had the small beds already set up for our grandchildren to sleep on. We moved things around to meet our needs and on the first day even made homemade lemonade with fresh lemons from the lemon tree. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay from the convenience of near by stores to the pool and playground being 1/2 a block away. I heartily recommend this house as a great vacation home!

  • Barking dogs in next door condo-very close proximity-were terrible! Property itself was fine.

    1 of 5

Barking dogs in next door condo-very close proximity-were terrible! They woke us up every morning promptly at 6:15 am-6:30 am-this was loud barking! They barked most of the time whenever dogs owner was absent. We we there all day Tuesday and dogs barked loudly all day. I'm pretty sure we will never try VRBO again! I love this concept, but this experience with the barking dogs has really soured us. Outside of the barking I'd rate the stay as a 3 star.

  • Dirty. Poorly maintained. Misrepresented the description in the VRBO listing.

    1 of 5

From the minute we walked up to the door, we knew the VRBO listing for this property was misleading. EXAMPLE: "Mid-century flair." We expected that style NOT a 77 yr. old sofa that was torn & uncomfortable as well as other items of that vintage. EXAMPLE: "Enjoy the evening in the peace & quiet of the patio. Situated within a quiet neighborhood." The description failed to mention that THIS unit backed up to a rather noisey street and that there were 2 dogs next door that barked nearly continuously. EXAMPLE: "Fully equipped home. All essentials for cooking & baking." We found it to be the most poorly equipped kitchen we had ever experienced in a rental property. It seemed that everything was purchased without any thought to what purpose it would serve and lacked the essentials such as even a working can opener. EXAMPLE: "Newly updated kitchen." We found a microwave that was not installed far enough above the stove; using the microwave caused the kitchen lights to dim; the floor beneath the under-sink cabinet was visible though the cracks in the cabinet bottom; the cabinets wee not only old and chipped but someone did a horrible job of trying to paint them. Other observations: Wiring consisted of numerous extension cords in place of properly placed electrical receptacles; poorly functioning toilets; upon arrival the patio was dirty & dog feces present; overall dirty conditions (cabinets filthy inside & out, half-used personal care products left in the bathrooms; half-used food left in the refrigerator & pantry; heavy dust on the tops of doorways, pictures, light fixtures, wall decorations, shelving, draperies; floors behind toilets were filthy; carpeting was patched & needed cleaning.) VRBO requires us to rate our experience using stars. And we are giving it 1 star because of this. However, due to the actual conditions that we found vs the VRBO listing description, given the opportunity we would it give no stars.

  • Comfortable 2-bedroom house with nice backyard area

    5 of 5

Very nice - clean, neat and well appointed. Very close to great biking paths and some hiking in the mountains. The outdoor space was very nice, not huge, but very welcoming. Owner great to work with. A good experience.

  • The Price is Right!

    4 of 5

Our family spent 5 weeks in this rental while our kitchen was remodeled. We live in Tucson, so we did not do any touristy things. During our stay the garage door broke and the water valve in the master bath became stuck in the "on" position. Bonnie was very responsive to getting these things repaired in a timely fashion. Bonnie was also very helpful in so many way. Everything was as advertised, it was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet! It is also close to grocery stores, restaurants and Walmart. It also has easy access to Interstate 10. We were also glad to be able to find a place where we could have our two little dogs. I think this property would be a nice place for winter visitors to stay or people who are transitioning to living in Tucson.

  • Ready for Our Next Stay!

    5 of 5

We spent four nights/five days in this patio home and are already talking about renting it again. The home was comfortable, well-supplied, and perfectly situated for trips out to the Desert Museum, Old Tucson, and other attractions. I most appreciated that in addition to the two bedrooms, the homeowner made available 3 other roll-away beds. My children each had their own comfy bed. They also decided that listening to records on the record player and picking lemons off the tree in the backyard made for a perfectly memorable vacation. The little touches made this a home away from home. We felt 100% safe in this family-friendly neighborhood, and enjoyed using the full-size washer and dryer to get all our laundry clean before the flight back to Arkansas. Communication with the homeowner was quick and easy.

  • Ten days in Tucson

    5 of 5

We just got back from ten very pleasant days. Our guest lodging was very nice. The highlight was being able to lounge on the wonderful covered patio with birds singing and the warm weather. We were treated to a small covey of quail walking along the top of the wall. I would recommend this for a relaxing vacation.
