  • Fabulous

    5 of 5

We couldn’t have been more pleased with the Homestead. It was just as the pictures showed in the listing. Very comfortable and plenty of room so you didn’t feel crowded. Our grandson loved the game room and the pool table got a lot of use. Thank you Cindy and Tyler for sharing your beautiful home This was our second time to use HomeAway and we have been very pleased.

  • Great choice for our first visit to southern Arizona

    5 of 5

The Homestead in Tanque Verde proved to be a great choice for our first visit to southern Arizona. It met all of needs and more, while we spent most of a month exploring the Tucson area. As pictured on the website, the Homestead is spacious and decorated with a wide variety of interesting western artifacts. We found all aspects of the home to our liking. Perhaps top of our list was the kitchen and breakfast nook where we enjoyed cooking and eating most of our meals. The master bedroom and large master bath with walk-in closet provided a warm and comfortable space. The upper level of the home allowed me to work part time in an efficient office while my wife enjoyed reading and relaxing on the lower level and in the backyard. All of the appliances worked well and we had no trouble with anything in the house. We found the country setting northeast of Tucson to be a bonus, surprising us with daily encounters of wildlife and great views of the mountains and desert landscape. Several parks were close by, we found a number of quality Tucson restaurants to enjoy, and other cultural entertainment was minutes away. We felt immersed in a the southwestern lifestyle and look forward to another visit to Tuscon and the Homestead in the future.

  • Quiet, Comfortable Get-away

    5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at The Homestead. The themed decor really adds to the experience. No significant concerns and the owner was very responsive to any questions that we had. This is a very quiet, out-of-the way location, while being convenient to all basic needs (5-10 minute drive). The sunrises over the mountains to the west were great, especially from the upstairs balcony on the back side of the house. We had everything we needed to be comfortable for our one-month stay. We highly recommend The Homestead.

  • Restful retreat

    5 of 5

We really looked forward to returning to this beautifully decorated desert retreat at the end of each day. We were in Tucson for the gem show and had little time to enjoy all that this place had to offer. None the less, we slept well and enjoyed the beauty. I hope to return.

  • A Great Stay

    5 of 5

The house is very spacious and filled with artifacts of native Americans and the old west. As others have said it was like staying in a museum. It is nestled in the foothills which put it close to hiking in Mt Lemon and Sabino Canyon but also shops and restaurants are a short car ride away. We were lucky enough to stay when the wild flowers were in bloom. We enjoyed watching the ground squirrels, rabbits, quail and other birds while eating breakfast on the patio each morning. At night we sometimes heard coyotes in the distance. My inlaws were so impressed with our photos of the place that they too look forward to booking it when they come out to Tucson.

  • Excellent property

    5 of 5

We spent 8 days at this property and enjoyed every minute. Four adults with lots of room to spare. Quiet area of Tucson with quick access to the necessities. Very nice feel to the place and meet all of our needs. Would stay again without question.

  • Beautiful and comfortable with a nice view of the mountains

    5 of 5

I highly recommend this home, which was part beautiful, comfortable home and part museum. Stunning Native American and western artifacts artfully displayed throughout this lovely home. Upstairs and downstairs porches, game room with pool table, fitness room and carefully selected collections of books - all added to the ambiance. In the "country" near Saguaro East and great hiking, but super easy drive to anywhere. We come to Tucson often and would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • feel of the old west with luxury- sunrises A plus!

    5 of 5

This lovely and spacious home tucked away at the base of the mountains was a sanctuary from the cold Chicago winter. The home provided every possible accommodation to make our two week stay the perfect getaway. The rooms were huge and well appointed. This is one you want to keep a secret so you can rent it again same time next year without competition. Lovely home to share. Grocery store a short distance and hiking is right out the back door. We loved cooking in the kitchen and barbecue. Typically, we eat out during vacation. You don't want to leave...but we will return next year! Rosie and Jeff

  • Beautiful home and decor!

    4 of 5

Beautiful and spacious home with many extras including a pool table and weight room. This home has been wonderfully decorated in all the rooms! When spending time away from home, it is important to me to have a comfortable bed and a great shower. This property has both.
