 5.0   -   Perfect couples getaway!

The Casita has everything you need for a lovely stay. The kitchen is well equipped with pantry items, dishes etc. There were ample linens, paper products and cleaners for a longer stay (we were there for a month). The yard has a private pool and hot tub. This is a beatiful, private, quiet, clean and comfortable place to stay. The neighbourhood contains many good restaurants, grocery stores and a gym within walking distance. It's a short drive to wonderful hiking, golf and other attractions. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend staying here. Lou and Kyria were responsive and friendly. They returned our damage deposit promptly and were wonderful hosts.

My partner and I booked an extended stay in the casita, the mountain views, pool and spa were exactly what I wanted. Great wifi. Both Lou and Kyria were very gracious and quick to respond when we had questions. Perfect for two.

 5.0   -   Relaxing

Most relaxing place we have ever stayed. Miss it already. The owners give you complete privacy but welcomed us with flowers and if needed anything I am sure they would of taken care of whatever one might need. The Casita is well equipped so did not need anything. Listening to the doves is something I will never forget. It was absolutely perfect for us. Loved how it was decorated. Thank you so much for sharing this place as I can't stress enough how much we felt at home and relaxed.

The Casita fit our needs perfectly. It was clean and provided privacy that we would not have found at a resort. The location was perfect for conveniently accessing hiking trails in the Catalina's.

 5.0   -   Great experience

The Casita was quaint, affordable and a perfect location for outdoor activities and local shopping/restaraunts. A really good value. Lots of hiking opportunities close by. Took a day trip to Mount Lemmon which was amazing. Definitely put that on your list if staying in this area. The owners were very attentive to any issues that we did have and followed up with us to ensure we were satisfied. We had exclusive use of the pool and spa area, which was very nice.

 4.0   -   Great little casita !!

It worked very !! well for us. It is just right for 2 people. It is well kept and the grounds are very relaxing. The pool is not heated - but the first 10 days were hot so we jumped right in !!. The owners are very !! good about answering any questions you might have. The unit is stocked with everything you might need - they have thought of everything. Their teenage children are also very sweet and helpful.

3.0   -   Mixed experience, but on the whole positive

The studio casita (essentially one room with kitchen, bed, and a bathroom) is quite attractive, and very tastefully decorated. The fresh flowers, that lasted through our week-long stay, were an especially nice touch. The location is convenient to major roads (Oracle and Ina Roads) and grocery shopping and restaurants, not far from Arizona highway I-10. It is a separate and private unit with a lovely yard (including a swimming pool and sauna), and the yard is nicely landscaped. On the whole we enjoyed our stay, but we had a few problems that could be easily corrected. 1) We entered the address in my smartphone GPS and it took us to what looked like the right road, but to an address that was clearly not correct. Somehow I mistakenly substituted Dr (for Drive) with Rd (for Road). The correct address ends in "drive" not "road". That was disconcerting at then end of a long drive; the directions could easily be amended to include that caution.. 2) When we entered the casita, it undoubtedly had been recently cleaned, perhaps earlier that day, and we knew it instantly because of the extremely strong odor of cleaner (perhaps it was Lysol, which I find particularly unpleasant.) We immediately opened all the windows, and left them open throug the night which did improve the situation, but the scent was still there throughout our entire stay, particularly noticeable when the casita had been closed up during the day. Perhaps the person who cleans the casita could use a different cleaning agent. 3) I believe there may be an outdoor light over the casita door, but we could never find a switch inside that activated it. Perhaps there was a burnt out bulb, but some instructions on light switches for outdoor lights might be useful for guests. 4) The kitchen is well equipped with good quality plates, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, and most common kitchen tools. There is a high cupboard for the cups, bowls, plates and glasses, but neither of us was tall enough to reach the items above the first shelf. A step stool, that could be easily stored in the clothes closet would solve that problem nicely. I write these comments not to discourage staying at the casita, ideal for one person and comfortable for two == especially if they sleep and rise at the same time -- but to suggest some simple ways that our stay, at least, might have more fully met our expectations.

 3.0   -   Adequate for a week
Reviewed on Jan 25, 2017
We found the Casita to be sufficient for a weekly stay. The bed was comfortable which is very important to us. Lots of hooks to hang things is a big plus. There is no dishwasher, thus the dishes and table service are not sanitized. We even found some of the dishes and silverware with food stuck on them so washed things before we used them. The kitchen chairs are hard for sitting of any length and there is not a good sitting area for relaxing.

Quaint casita with everything you need to use as a base camp for exploring Tucson and surrounding region. I did not sleep well because every time the refrigerator kicked on, it woke me up. We could not get the DVD player to work. We did not use the hot tub. The covered porch was fun to sit under while it rained. Great for the price.
