  • Wow, this IS the place!!

    5 of 5

I had the pleasure of renting this fabulous chalet for a long weekend with my kids and grands. The pictures did not do it justice! What an outstanding home. Very spacious and every amenity was there for our enjoyment. I also rented Laura”s smaller chalet in front so I could “escape” for a break. Both homes make an ideal setup for families. The kitchen was huge and had everything you need. Just a truly lovely place and so comfortable. Beautiful bathrooms with all the right touches. Location is the best...short walk to the Courthouse and all the Prescott activities. We’ll be back again and again! Laura was so wonderful to work with. THANK YOU!

  • Clean, comfortable, space that feels like home.

    5 of 5

I have stayed in this Chalet multiple times and each time always exceeds my expectations. It has everything you would need and more in the kitchen, the bedrooms are always clean and organized, and everything is stocked so that you would not run out of essentials. The distance from downtown is always the best perk, no need to drive when you can walk two blocks to the downtown area! I always love staying at the Chalet and look forward to future stays!

  • Lovely place to stay in Prescott

    5 of 5

Lovely place to stay in Prescott. This two bedroom chalet in Prescott is located about two blocks from the main courthouse Square so is a great location. It is the most fully furnished and organized place my husband and I have ever rented. Laura has provided everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Prescott.. The chalet is very attractively decorated with a huge kitchen that is amazingly furnished with dishes and utensils anyone could possibly need. Although the beds are a little firmer than we would prefer, we slept well and enjoyed the cool nights. Laura was great to work with and furnished very detailed information regarding everything in the chalet. It is quiet and surrounded by large old trees that provide nice shade. I would highly recommend this chalet to anyone wanting a very comfortable and attractive place to stay in Prescott. I would not recommend it for children due to all the lovely decorative items that could easily be broken.

  • Great home and was as advertised!

    5 of 5

Wonderfully maintained and clean home. Furnished and decorated very nicely with clear directions on how to use things such as TV's and Wi-Fi. Close to the square and walking distance to restaurants and night life. The owner is very organized and responsive. She provides great suggestions on where to eat and sight see. We really enjoyed our time in Prescott and a big reason is because of where we stayed. Thanks Laura!

  • The home was exactly as described, and very clean. The owner is fabulous!

    5 of 5

This was like a home away from home. I was surprised to find that the spice cabinet was full, which is rare in vacation rentals. All the switches and cupboards are labeled, and explicit directions were provided for using the house, making things very easy to find and use. Great AC and laundry facilities were appreciated. The owner is very responsive and accommodating - also very much appreciated! Thank you Laura! I hope to have a return visit.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Prescott! The chalet is very clean and inviting. It is very well furnished--comfortable, attractive, and functional. It is also well stocked with basic supplies. The location can't be beat. It is a a couple of blocks from the town square with so many restaurants to choose from. We hope to return in the coming year!

  • Absolutely perfect location for a holiday. Park your car and walk everywhere! day trips abound too

    5 of 5

The property offers it all! Perfect spot to escape the heat and enjoy the benefits of the country while being right in the middle of town. A quiet stroll takes you past a plethora of choices of restaurants, museums, shopping, town hall, trails, etc. You can park your car Or explore it all by foot. If you tire of walking, jump In The car and drive to Sedona, and explore the other mountain towns within a short distance of a Prescott and Prescott valley. Tons to do. Or relax on the porch of the lovely home and fire up the BBQ while you have a lovely cocktail party in the fabulous evening weather. This is the spot to go to escape the oppressive summer heat of Phoenix....or in my case of Houston. What a lovely climate, all year long. A true gem. Tried lots of the local restaurants and was never disappointed. The food was incredible and the ambience delightful. You can sit outside in the shade even in the summer and be absolutely comfortable any time of the day. Amazing. Your chalet will provide a list of all the local spots with a comprehensve write up so you are able to decide where you want to go and have an understanding of what you can get to eat, what the wear, etc. very very helpful in to review everything before heading out to get a good feel of all the offerings since there are a million choices even if you think it is a small town, it is a small big town! So grab your boots and escape the excruciating heat of summer and head for Prescott. You will not be disappointed....and you will want to return to the chalet every year. It is wonderful. Clean, stocked to perfection, comfortable furniture...your home away from home. Hated to leave such a perfect spot. Enjoy your visit. I certainly did and recommend staying as long as you can! I will return for sure and wish. Had stayed longer. Enjoy

  • Comfortable Property in a Perfect Location

    5 of 5

Location - Walking distance to all the downtown establishments and on a quiet street. We had two vehicles and on street parking was not a problem. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the living room for 2 couples (loved the gliders - my father wanted to take one home). The kitchen is well stocked with upgraded appliances, we also took advantage of the gas BBQ. Layout was great for two couples with one bedroom and bath upstairs and the other down. Laura was great to work with, we were able to check in early and the local restaurant recommendations were spot on. We will definitely be back.

  • WOW what a cool place!

    5 of 5

I stayed at the 2BR Chalet w/ my wife and we LOVED it. It's right in downtown Prescott, a short walk away from all the coolest bars, restaurants and shops. The home was extremely clean and tidy, with clear instructions for operating everything. The garden out back is very peaceful, and there is a porch out front that's perfect for relaxing. It's the perfect spot, and a great value for the price!

  • The property was beautiful, well equipped and centrally located to all the fun and games in Prescot.

    5 of 5

It was easy to get around from there. We were able to get to Prescott Valley to visit my family very easily. But we were in the middle of the action as well. The youngins were able to go for walks and shopping. There was even a rummage sale across the street. We ordered out one night and only had to run across the street to Rosa's for very yummy pizza! Hanging out on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and pie from Black Canyon City was really fun. So much better than a motel! The kitchen was fully appointed and it was easy to cook brunch after a quick stop at the grocery store for supplies. The chalet is decorated really nicely with a great office area up in the loft. We had a wonderful time! Kind of lunge going to our own up north cottage but nicer!

We've stayed at the Chalet a handful of times. Each time keeps getting better. Laura (owner) is very accommodating and detailed when it comes to checking in and out. This house is walking distance (5 mins) to shops, restaurants, and the famous Whiskey Row bars. We love Prescott and love staying at the Chalet. We can't wait to come back!

  • Great Location!

    5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Chalet. The office was very nicely outfitted and the mesh network provided a great signal throughout the house. The location was very close to all the action on Whiskey Row and we ended up walking to dinner each night. Very close but also secluded on the back of the property.

  • Excellent location; clean, well-kept vacation home! Loved it!

    5 of 5

The Chalet is a nicely decorated and cozy place to stay. It has all updated appliances, and pretty much everything you need in the kitchen, including a good selection of spices. Everything inside is very clean and well taken care of. The outside porch area is a great place to relax after a long day of walking around town. It is in a perfect location; only two blocks from Whiskey Row and all the delicious restaurants nearby. I loved my stay here! I would definitely recommend this Chalet to my friends and will be coming back here for future visits to Prescott.

  • Great 2nd visit to Prescott home-away-from-home!

    5 of 5

This was our second stay at the 2-bedroom Chalet. As we recall from our first visit, the Chalet continues to be clean and well-appointed and the large kitchen worked great for making our pre-Thanksgiving Dinner for our son and girlfriend who live in Prescott. We did notice several new, upgraded items this time, including a large, outdoor gas grill (we shared with the front Chalet) and a huge, flat-screen Smart TV with lots of free streaming channels. The décor has also been changed a bit to give the Chalet a subtle Southwestern look. The owners also now provide nice quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap in each of the two bathrooms -- very appreciated! What hasn't changed, of course, is the great location. We parked our car in the brick-covered, little courtyard parking lot and pretty much left it parked there the whole time, since virtually everything we wanted to see and do, the shopping, and the restaurants, were all within walking distance. There's a little street noise in the evening as we remembered from last time, but that's to be expected from this convenient location and It didn't bother us. Even though it was mid-November, we still enjoyed several outside meals and wine on the front porch dining table. The outdoor dining areas, both front and back, have a private feel because of the wooden fencing and tall, shade trees surrounding the Chalet property. We've also stayed in the 1-bedroom, front Chalet, which we remember being very pleasant too; it was occupied by other guests during this stay. All in all, we continue to recommend this Chalet and hope to come back for our third visit sometime soon!

  • Great house for our stay in Prescott

    5 of 5

We had a golf outing with four friends from college and this house was perfect. Even though it was only a 2 bedroom we were able to use the sleeper sofa in the family room and the loft easily accommodated an air mattress that we brought. The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The owner was also very helpful giving us a full tour of the property so we knew where everything was and how all of the house features worked. Definitely will try to book this house for next year's trip.

  • Our Home Away From Home

    5 of 5

This was our third year staying at this rental and we had a blast as expected!! The property is very well-kept and in a perfect location, we enjoyed the Italian restaurant across the street at least twice. Pearl does a fantastic job of keeping the property beautiful and clean. We truly feel like this is our home away from home!

  • Beautiful home but lacked privacy

    3 of 5

The home itself is beautiful, and in the perfect location just blocks from downtown. It was clean and well maintained. We were put off by a few things though. For our trip, it was just the two of us, my boyfriend and I. Pearl, the property manager, didn't seem to believe that it was just two of us, so made sure to stress the fact that she needs to know everyone's names who are staying because of fire codes. I reassured her several times that we were the only ones staying. At 10AM the following morning, we were awakened by Pearl and her husband walking the property and knocking on the door. We were still sleeping, but I came to the door and asked what she needed. She wanted to print something, using the printer that the office the home has. Maybe this was legit but seemed that she was checking up on us. With the outdoor security cameras this should not have been necessary. She also informed me that I should not have the doors open (the security doors were closed) as the cottonwood trees would cause a mess. Coming from the Phoenix heat we were excited to have some fresh, cool air, so this was annoying and seemed like any mess the trees made could be easily swept or vacuumed up. A couple of things that the posting does not state that are noteworthy: The fireplace does not work - it just has battery operated candles. Checkout time is 10:00 and not 11 (Pearl was there at 9:45). A check is required at check in, and it's given back once the property is inspected at check out. Though Pearl was willing to work with us for a later check in, it was a lot of back and forth with her wanting to know exactly what time we would be there. Exact 4:00 check in seems to be what's preferred. For the price paid we hoped for a better experience.

  • Nice place to stay.

    4 of 5

Location is great, big and specious, much better than a hotel room. The only thing we did not like is the smell.. there is an awful smell that comes from some where like the sewer. We love the place, it has all you need but the smell was a big deal for me.

  • Great Location in the heart of old town Prescott

    5 of 5

My wife & I stayed for a weekend getaway to Prescott . The home was just as described and in above average condition. We meet with the Owner upon arrival and she was very helpful with educating us about the property and the Prescott area . Not all rentals are in the same class and we have rented several via home away & vrbo. Pearls Chalet has pride of ownership that shows and her personnel attention to detail insures you have a pleasant stay ! I have no complaints and would rate this property ***** I hope to get another chance to enjoy the Chalet in Prescott real soon ! Thanks, Pearl for sharing your home for us all to enjoy a stay in historic town of Prescott, Arizona Sincerely, Kevin Sherman

  • Sweet accommodations, perfect downtown location, with one caveat.

    4 of 5

This chalet is well supplied with all the comforts of home, and we loved the easy access on foot to all that downtown Prescott has to offer. The one thing I would recommend to the owners (and why I couldn't give it five stars) would be to professionally clean or remove/replace the carpeting. It is stained and dirty and there are no adequate tools in the unit to keep it clean. (Of the 3 vacuum cleaners in the tool closet, only one worked, marginally.) We were there for a month, so it was an issue for us. That aside, it was a delightful stay. Prescott is a very cool town, with friendly and welcoming residents and lots to do and see.

  • Interesting place to visit with cozy accommodations.

    5 of 5

Stay December 18 – 21, 2016. Located within a 2 block walk to the center of Prescott, this Chalet is an excellent place to stay. The Chalet is very cozy home with a kitchen which has everything you need including dishes, pots, pans, banking pans, blender, and mixer which you do not commonly find in all VRBO’s. The owner Pearl meets you at the Chalet and takes you for a walk through and full explanation of the home. The area is very secure and offers a large area for off street parking. Interested in perhaps moving to Prescott, Pearl took some time to explain living in Prescott as she is a native to the area. She also described other areas around Prescott which might be of interest to us. Should we determine that we would move to Prescott, we definitely would choose this Chalet as the place to stay while pursuing our options.
