  • Couple quibbles, but overall a good spot

    4 of 5

If you're staying with a big group of people, this place is great. We comfortably fit 7 adults, a teenager, and 2 small kids. The quibbles were that it smelled like cigarettes when we arrived, there weren't enough towels and washcloths for everyone so we had to do some laundry, and the guest house bathroom/shower is really small. Otherwise, the house was clean, the pool was great, and the yard is awesome for watching the birds, bees, and lizards run around. We also couldn't get the cable working but the wifi worked and we were able to watch some Netflix on our laptop. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay despite the few obstacles we encountered. It's ~$10 Lyft/Uber to campus and ~$15 ride to downtown so not super close, but manageable.

  • This place rules

    5 of 5

This is such a great house, with such a great yard, in such a great location. There might be some micro stuff to quibble about, but for the things that matter, like pool, patio, hot tub, and yard, it rules. Three of the four bedrooms are essentially master bedrooms with a private bath. It's perfect for hosting two families or similar sized group.

  • Charming & peaceful home & gardens

    5 of 5

The property location and amenities were fabulous. The garden and patios were wonderful, the beds comfy, and the host responsive. We enjoyed our stay! Definitely a private oasis and yet close to great Tucson dining and activities. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms offer everyone privacy and comfort.

  • Lots of character!

    5 of 5

My husband and I along with our 20-something son and another couple spent a few days and celebrated Christmas at Palo Verde Home. We loved the rambling and secluded yard with all the cacti, citrus trees, and birds. The hot tub was a nice treat after sightseeing all day. We had no problem in the kitchen whipping up some gourmet meals. Plenty of space in the house for 5 people not being in each other’s way. The beds were so comfy! People need to know the house is eclectically funky in a good way. It’s not a cookie cutter condo. We loved it. Great visit!

  • Oasis in the Middle of Tucson

    5 of 5

Great place! Lots of room. Very comfortable. Perfect for a family. Wonderful grounds with pool and hot tub. Enjoyed sitting out on the patio having coffee in the morning with view of mountains and cactus. Owners were quick in getting back to us if we had any questions. Loved it.

  • Very charming old style Tucson house with a lot of character.

    4 of 5

We had a great time staying at the house with a few friends from out of town. Perfect location if you are attending any athletic events at U of A campus. Pool and jacuzzi are a definite bonus after a long day of shopping, hiking, or playing golf! This house is a perfect place to hang for a few days; very relaxing with all kinds of wildlife to enjoy from the front porch while having a cool beverage or coffee. We will be returning here the next time we visit Tucson 😀

  • 3rd U of A graduation celebration held here

    5 of 5

We have rented this lovely home in 2011, 2012, and now May 2018 when our 3rd child graduated from University of Arizona. I cannot say enough about how unique the property and house are. The covered patio and garden with saguaros are magical. For each graduation, we rented a few tables and had Mexican food delivered. Our graduates close friends & families came and it was so nice to all be together in the gorgeous setting. I had the pleasure of meeting Robert and his family back in 2011 and he is very good to work with. His property manager, Tom, was super responsive and helpful. The home is comfortable and a bit eclectic but that’s part of the uniqueness. We LOVED coming into the living room and seeing the big US flag hanging on the wall! And the saddles on the patio. Although we are done with UofA graduations, we plan to do a family reunion in the future at this lovely home.

  • 4th Year in a Row

We've rented this house four years in a row. This place has everything I can imagine wanting in a house rental.

  • This rental was perfect for our family’s four night stay in the Tucson area.

    5 of 5

The house had everything we needed to make our stay with two small children comfortable and enjoyable. The garden was beautiful and an extra pleasant surprise to an already great rental house. The 4 year old especially enjoyed spotting the rabbit and feeding the multitude of birds. We highly recommend this property & would definitely stay again if we ever find ourselves back in Tucson.

  • Can I stay here forever?

    5 of 5

Our stay was magical. My daughter got married and we used St Francis Cabrini as our home base for my daughter and her bridesmaids. They all loved it! The photographer that came to do the “getting ready” pictures couldn’t believe the beautiful setting and were ecstatic about the wonderful photo options, we stayed to long and threw off the wedding schedule, but they couldn’t start without the bride. When we had to say good bye to this beautiful home we all lingered as long as possible to drink in every last drop of this magical place. I can’t wait to come back again.

  • Wonderful, relaxing, artsy and embraces the Tucson spirit.

    5 of 5

This place is terrific. It has a personality, which I have found lacking in other VRBO rentals that feel like they just restocked from Costco. Nope, each piece of furniture, each plate and cup feel like they were chosen with an eye towards "Welcome". Owners and the property manager were more than clear in their expectations that they wanted us to be happy and enjoy their home and our time in it. Refreshing, relaxing. Would rent it again in a minute. Loved that they left bird seed so we could enjoy the birds while enjoying the beautiful garden from the patio. I have one caution which doesn't apply to most people's concerns... one of our family members is in a wheel chair and I had planned for them to stay in the casita...but it turns out that the bathroom is not easily accessible due to a step up and down, and its small space. They stayed in the house and it was just fine. I'm sure if I had specifically asked this question, the owners would have said just that.

  • beautiful place private yard

    3 of 5

The main house was comfortable, the yard was very enjoyable. The guest house was dated and in need of an upgrade on linens and bedding. There was one bed and two sofas neither one a sofa sleeper. Not what was offered. Overall enjoyed the use of your home. Thank you

  • This is a special place. A comfortable home in a landscaped desert compound with a huge pool.

    5 of 5

6 of us stayed here for a week. The place is big enough that we never felt on top of each other. The kitchen was very well equipped and there are numerous spots to eat--a front patio, a covered side patio, poolside, or in the house. Two of the large bedrooms in the main house have en suite bathrooms and there is a bath in the little detached house. We liked that! All of the beds were extremely comfortable. There's a large gas grill on the side patio that we used nightly. It was hot outside and the air conditioning worked extremely well. The pool was clean and well kept. Tom the manager responded promptly to our calls.

  • Very relaxing home in Tucson!

    5 of 5

From the moment we drove through the gate we were delighted to see cactus in bloom. Even though the home is in the city you feel like you're in your own desert oasis. Sitting on the porch every morning and evening was such a pleasure. Watching many birds making their spring nests. Enjoying the pool or creating something in the funky, well stocked kitchen was a hoot too! Over all this place was just what the doctor ordered! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven in the desert with others.

  • Rather unique.

    5 of 5

Older 1940s hacienda style home. The house is old both inside and out, but clean and fairly comfortable. I liked it, but my wife and grown daughter were a bit less enthusiastic--but then I remember places like this when growing up in Arizona and Colorado in the 1950s. Good beds. Excellent wi-fi. Two large covered patios. The guest house is a bit drab. The great thing about the place is the wonderful yard, very large with mature desert landscaping. (Indeed some of it seems to be the original cacti rather than planted ones.). The whole place is surrounded by a solid fence that keeps most of the noise out. It is a small, peaceful oasis in the middle of northern Tucson. The other outstanding feature is a heated pool that is huge by most backyard standards.

  • Large eclectic home with beautiful grounds. Beautiful pool and jacuzzi.

This home and casita are in the NE corner of Tucson. The birds are everywhere and the home is well stocked. I can suggest this home for a large group.
