  • Comfy and Creative Casita

    5 of 5

We used this casita (one side of a duplex) as our base during our six day exploratory trip to Tucson and it did not disappoint. Our host pulled out all the stops to make us feel special and welcomed, the house is comfortably and creatively furnished with everything you would ever need and it is in Tucson's desirable Sam Hughes neighborhood which is centrally located with easy access to multiple venues. The king sized bed and pillows were very comfortable (always a big plus), and the neighborhood is quiet at night.

  • Historic Tucson Shines

    5 of 5

Begin with an adorable, cozy one-plus bedroom exquisitely appointed with comfy touches and modern amenities close to U of A, add covered garage parking, a private patio with gas barbecue with outdoor dining area for a dozen or more guests and you have selected the perfect home. More importantly are the detailed and thoughtful care by Erica, the owner who welcomed you with a bottle of wine, chocolates and other personalized greetings. If there were more than five stars available, it would be justified.

  • 5 stars in Sam Hughes!

    5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous 1920's home in Sam Hughes. The house is light and bright, comfortably appointed with everything you need for your stay. Our host thought of everything, plus things we didn't think of! Parking is ample, and you're right on the bus line if you don't have a car. A short walk east takes you to Rincon Market and Tumerico; to the west is the U of A campus. We will definitely be back!

  • Another great visit

    5 of 5

We enjoy returning to Villa Blanca Mariposa every year. The house is just right for the 2 of us. We love the easy walking distance to the campus for sports events or just for exercising. We are able to make meals easily, in the well equipped kitchen. Our reservation is already in place for next year.

  • Great Location

    4 of 5

Outstanding homebase to explore Tucson area on foot, by bike and car. Erica very responsive to any problems and so very nice! An excellent host who provided dining lists and other Tucson info. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and and had lovely sunny spaces, both outdoor and in. Very well equipped kitchen that we used quite a bit. With some updating to make the original(?) drawers and cabinets more user friendly, this would be a 5 star review. I would absolutely rent again.

Fabulous 1920’s duplex’s house! Everything you could possibly need is in this home. All kitchen essentials and more. Tupperware and plastic wrap just like home. Condiments in the fridge and cupboards.Golf channel was great since that is why we are here. Heat or A/C depending on the weather. BBQ in the furnished backyard. Garage for parking off the back lane. Excellent wifi. Laundry facilities, but no dishwasher. Thank you Erica for sharing your beautiful family home. Will definitely stay again when back in Tucson.

    5 of 5

This little casita was perfect for an extended weekend visiting the UofA. It was so clean, cozy and welcoming. We could not have asked for a better location within walking distance and short lyft rides to everything we needed. Thank you for making our weekend so enjoyable and effortless!

  • Fantastic Property!

    5 of 5

My hubby and I had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Blanca Mariposa in October while visiting our son during family weekend at the U of A, we had a fabulous visit! The property was very clean and well appointed and very close to the University. Has the charm of an older bungalow but with updated appliances and amenities. The owner provided lots of great info about the neighborhood and gave us some great dining references. Super cute bungalow, we will definitely stay here again!

  • Comfort and charm in a great location

    5 of 5

Whenever I write a review of a vacation home rental I give the pros and cons of the particular property. In this case, I could not think of a single thing that was lacking! I spent a week there and here is what I liked: 1. Erica is an incredibly nice person and could not have been more helpful. 2. The location is convenient to the University of Arizona, but still quiet at night. 3. New appliances in the kitchen and new washer and dryer were a big plus. 4. The kitchen is well appointed and has every pot, pan and gadget you could ever need. 5. Plenty of towels, blankets and pillows and thoughtful little extras throughout the house. 6. Everything has been updated and well maintained. Not to mention spotlessly clean. 7. I felt safe as both the front and back doors have sturdy locks. Not that this was an issue. The neighborhood is nice and obviously family oriented. 8. Erica has great taste and the house is decorated beautifully. 9. The bedroom is roomy and has an incredibly comfortable bed. This is the third rental home I've stayed at in Tucson, and I'll never go anywhere else after this. What a great find!

We had a wonderful time there. Actually, spent a lot of time in the home itself, which is probably the greatest compliment you can give to an abode. I’ll be staying there again in October, if possible.

Super location, beautiful home and Erica was great!! We had excellent communication throughout the booking to check out. The home was ideal! Central and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. The house was lovely!! Decor, linen, furnishings, kitchen appliances - all top of the line and well maintained. We have a toddler and the important items to accommodate us were ready upon arrival. Everyone that visited was in awe of the rental. It truly had it all we wished for and more. Hope to return soon.

  • Charming and inviting

    5 of 5

A perfect place to hang your hat while you visit Tucson and outlying areas. Even without a rental car, I was able to Uber to The Sonora Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon, Mission San Xavier, and Catalina State Park. I also arranged to tour Tombstone and Bisbee. The house was spotless and comfortable, and my host was gracious and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again when I visit The Old Pueblo.

Adorable cottage, great location, clean, nice towels and sheets, comfy bed. Kerri Ann was a phone call or text away and was very generous with information on great places to eat or visit. • Comfortable and Charming Retreat

    5 of 5

This is the second time that we stayed at this property and will, hopefully, not be the last. It is so tastefully decorated and furnished, very private, well maintained inside and out, great location, top quality, comfortable beds and pillows, everything you could ask for in the kitchen, modern appliances, beautiful patio and outside living and entertaining space, and the owner is very accessible and helpful. It is truly a home away from home that we thoroughly enjoyed.

  • Villa Blanca Mariposa transcends all expectations!!

    5 of 5

This bungalow is absolutely perfect! it has historic character, the warmth of a home, a blend of contemporary and eclectic and southwestern decor, all done very tastefully. The towels are thick, the sheets are smooth, the pillows are lofty, the cupboards are full of supplies. I was very happy to have a garage for my car, to keep it out of the Tucson sun. The laundry room was an unexpected bonus. The location is superb. Erica's suggestions were abundant and detailed. I walked the lovely neighborhood streets every morning. I loved seeing the cactus gardens and architecture of the Sam Hughes district. I will return. Thank you, Erica!

  • Relaxing!

    5 of 5

We loved staying at Villa Blanca. It's located in one of the most beautiful areas of Tucson. The architecture of the home is very unique and it is furnished and decorated with one-of-a-kind pieces. The home has everything one would need- dishes, clothes detergent, cooking utensils etc. We really enjoyed making meals there. The gas stove was fun to use.We loved the wood floors and all the little nooks. Sam Hughes is personally my favorite area and it was very relaxing staying there for a week. We were about a block or two from the U of A. We enjoyed getting Eegee's slushes nearby and driving through the neighborhood to see the unique homes in the area. There are many restaurants close by. Every guest should visit Rincon Market! The linens and towels were very nice (lots of towels). The home was very, very clean inside and out. Everything in the home was high quality. Erika was very helpful and kind. She was easy to contact and responded quickly. The home had wonderful books and magazines too. We liked having the rear carport for parking. We were very comfortable and could not have asked for a better experience. We would love to stay there again. Our family who visited for meals etc. were very impressed too.
