Prescott is a wonderful place and having a safe and comfy place to stay made our mini vacation perfect. Highly recommend Laurie and Mark. We stayed in the Birch cottage so awesome with snow and Christmas lights!!!

  • Spotless and wonderful!

    5 of 5

This was such a great studio for the two of us and our dog. Loved the easy access to the yard for our dog. The studio itself was spotless and charming. Loved the whole experience on one of the prettiest streets in Prescott. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great little cottage with a wonderful location! We loved being able to walk to the courthouse square and shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay with Laurie again!

  • My second time staying there - this time with my dog who just loved the grassy garden and cottage.

    5 of 5

What a quiet getaway! We were both exhausted after a 9 hour drive from LA and slept so soundly. Woke up to a light frost yet warm in the cottage. Bed super comfortable and soft sheets and blankets. Plush towels Love the Coffee bar and full kitchen. A great place to stay! ( in the Historic neighborhood) and 2 blocks away from Acker Park which has many hiking trails. Lovely!

  • Great location; comfortable; clean; great property owners for info and questions

    5 of 5

We stayed at this location the last weekend of October. The location was perfect. We were 4 or 5 blocks from the town square, 1 block from a park to walk and enjoy the views and about 3 miles from more adventurous hiking. The cottage was clean, comfortable and we had parking off the street. The Temples were great to work with scheduling and keeping us informed with information for our stay. I look forward to returning and staying at this property in the future!

  • Great little cottage.

    5 of 5

Laurie is a great host. Nice patio with gas BBQ and fire pit. Only 12 minute walk to the downtown area of Prescott. Enough restaurants that you can walk every evening and then work it off just a little afterwards. We were there for Halloween and the entire street that this unit is on was closed down for the merriment of the kids. It was very festive and fun to watch the people. We would definitely come back.

  • Charming cottage for one or two!

    5 of 5

I stayed in the Birch cottage which is a studio size cottage. It has everything needed for a great stay--fully equipped kitchen, large closet and bathroom with a great shower. The bed is comfortable. Even with a rainy and pretty cool week, I didn't need to use the heat at all and at times even turned on the ceiling fan to keep it comfortable, which it was all week. There is a great shared, fenced-in grass backyard and also a shared raised patio with grill and fire pit! The close access to Acker park (walking distance) was great for a decent walk/hike (you can do 1-mile or 3.6). Being located on Mt. Vernon was great for looking at all the beautiful homes and close enough to walk to Courthouse Square and enjoy all of the town's western flair! Especially since it is getting close to Halloween, the homes had some amazing decorations and it was fun to see them both at night and during the daytime on walks into town. I didn't want for anything during my entire stay. I will definitely stay at the cottage again in the future!!

  • Like Being at Home!

    5 of 5

This is the BEST place I've stayed in Prescott! Laurie has created the most welcoming and pleasant environment, with every possible convenience and supplies you might need! Thoughtful arrangement for watching TV, working on your computer and cooking in the well-supplied kitchen, complete with a coffee bar! Who else does all that??? And, the bed. . . so amazingly comfortable! Plus a lovely backyard and patio with pillowed seats. This studio is perfect for a single person and close to downtown. You can't do better than this! Thanks Laurie!

  • This place was awesome! I want to move here! Everything you need is here, just bring food!

    5 of 5

Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised at how well kept the entire property was. The unit itself was clean and very well maintained. The yard was nice for my service dog. Laurie and Mark had the ac on already, which made it possible to relax immediately. She even had ‘dog sheets’ out for my fur baby!! The grill worked great, sitting under the pergola for dinner was very nice. Flowers everywhere were colorful and beautiful. Laurie even texted me to check in and make sure everything was good for a comfortable stay. It’s also close enough to downtown that you can walk but it’s a very quiet location. I will definitely be renting here again...I LOVE this place and the owners are superb hosts!!

This is the third time we have stayed in one of Mark and Laurie's rentals. The rooms are very clean and comfortable! It is evident that they want their guest to be comfortable and feel at home. After staying in their rentals we don't want to stay anywhere else!

Mark and Laurie have created a clean, quaint and a very reasonably priced cozy little cottage. Everything was clean, neat and tidy. Laurie even put out doggy sheets for my lab, Jack. I will return.

  • Quiet Rest

    5 of 5

We had very good sleep each night thanks to how QUIET the studio cottage is, no door slamming down the hall, and while we didn't use the full kitchen with oven and range and full sized refrigerator as much as we thought we would, we appreciate that it could have been used. Two things not found in any motel. Ah yes, and the laundry room. A bonus! I have no reservations in recommending this studio for anyone wanting to visit Prescott without the disadvantages of staying at a motel for about the same cost. Greg Cowan

  • Great Location, Fair Price, Nice Place, Horrible Bed, Non-existant Service

    2 of 5

My wife and I had a 4-night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the walks into downtown, especially along the streets with beautiful older homes. Prescott has good food and great Americana culture. We attended a performance by the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra at the local college. It could have been a 5-star experience, but ... On the first night I got into bed and immediately noticed the bed was very soft except at the edges and sagged toward the middle. It struck me as odd, since the bed was relatively new. The night was rough in that the edge was firm, but I kept slipping toward the soft and sagging middle. Same for the second night. Upon waking after the second night of a groggy fight against gravity's pull to the middle of our bowl-bed, I decided to examine the underside of the bed to see if I could see anything amiss. Along with a dust bunny or two, two of the four slats holding up the box springs were laying on the floor and a broken rail piece was laying up near the head of the bed. The two remaining slats left between the rails were positioned at the extreme ends of the bed. The slats were flimsy 3/4" thick by 3" wide. Upon replacing one of the slats on the floor and re-positioning the two end slats, the bed quality was raised to mildly-uncomfortable. (The fourth slat was not able to be used due to the broken rail piece; the rail piece was the part of the rail used to support the slats.) Just in case of any questions regarding our physical size and how that may have played a role: my wife is a size 6 and I weigh 175lb. I called the number for the property manager and left a long detailed message explaining the bed issues and offered to fix the bed myself, asking her to call me ASAP to discuss. I immediately followed up the voicemail with a text containing pictures of the bed rails and the broken rail piece. I have yet to get her call. I rechecked the phone number to make sure I got it right. Barring some unknown tragic circumstance, I'm thinking I should have heard from her by now, this being four days after we've left. So, deduct one star for an uncomfortable bed and two stars for no one caring. Prescott is a wonderful town, though!
