I rented this house for a 'guys' golf vacation. Overall we had a good experience at the house. Pros: Was as advertised. Amazing location and views. VERY spacious. Great patio, grill & pool area. Big spacious well stocked kitchen. VERY clean Easy (check-in, access, etc.) Cons: Would be nice if the place had a hot-tub. Weather was a bit cool, so the pool wasn't an option. A hot-tub/jacuzzi wold have been VERY nice to use after long golfing days. Place is a little old and out-dated in some ways (architecture, old worn plaster in pool, etc.). I summary, it was a great value on a great house! Nothing super fancy (other than the views/location), but just perfect for what we were looking for!

  • Unbelievable View!!

    5 of 5

Property sits up on a hill just north of Camelback Mountain and just west of Camelback in. Unbelievable views of downtown Phoenix, Paradise Valley & Scottsdale. Large deck area, small, but serviceable pool. I give the house itself 3.5 to 4 stars. Some of it has been updated and is very nice, but some of it is outdated. However, it was comfortable, plenty of seating, and well stocked kitchen so perfectly acceptable for us. The view more than makes up for any drawbacks on the house. Owner was responsive during the rental process and while we were there. Would rent it again.

  • Too Many Things Did Not Work

    3 of 5

1 of 2 kitchen microwave ovens did not work. The main kitchen refrigerator did not work. Several light bulbs were out. Finding the correct switches for lights was an adventure. No instructions on how to operate various things was available. The interior décor was from the 1970s. The view was spectacular.

An hour before we arrived we were informed that the refrigerator was not working, and when we arrived there was a huge part of the master bedroom floor lifted up about 3 to 5 inches my husband almost fell over twice during the stay but my daughter definitely fell over the huge hump. We didn't get access to the refrigerator until a little over 24 hours later and on the 3 day we were locked out of the house but it was resolved within the hour, and by the 5th day the pool guy showed up without warning or notice my husband wanted to stay an extra day because he felt that those events took away from the vacation but I was completely done with the whole situation and wanted to go home.

Dated furnishings, chopped up floor plan, pool was dirty and water was green. We called the owner about the pool, and their pool guy came our and skimmed the debris. The chemicals were still not right and basically made it unusable. Patio, kitchen and grill were nice. The view was spectacular. The house was clean. Basically, you are paying for a very average home with a spectacular view.

This is a great property for soaking in the views and outdoors. has some updated features and appliances and such BUT it is an old home and it shows. If you are looking for a place to come and relax and just enjoy the great outdoors you cant go wrong with this.

  • Awesome location for Scottsdale golf trip!

    5 of 5

This was our 4th stay at this property. We have a group of 8 guys who make an annual trip out to Scottsdale to play golf and this house has everything we need. Lots of space, million dollar views, great outdoor area to BBQ and dine on the deck while taking in the valley views. It's affordable and very comfortable for all 8 of us. With the extra trundle mattresses and the futon in the upstairs loft there are plenty of beds. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. We don't spend much time here since we are really in town for the golf but when we are at the house it is enjoyable. We don't use the pool since we are here in February and it's not heated. Our only issue would be that a hot tub would be nice to come back to in the evenings. With all this said, this home is not for everyone. The luxury truly exists in it's location and city views. If you are looking for a Luxury Estate with high end design and accommodations I'd suggest some of the other homes in the neighborhood but they will cost 2 or 3 times as much. If you can put up with some of the quirkiness of this home such as mystery light switches and dated furnishings this is a great place for a getaway. We prefer to put our money into the golf courses we play and this home makes that possible and still gives us the same views and location as the people paying much more in the area That's why we keep coming back.

  • Awesome location and view.

House was much bigger than we needed but we wanted the location. Price was adequate. Beds were cozy. A bit outdated but perfect for what we needed. I would definitely rent this house again.

  • Enjoyed our stay!

We rented the house for a golf weekend. As other reviews mention, the house is a little dated but the functionality and views were stunning!! The owner was very responsive and good to work with. I would recommend this place and be willing to stay here again.

  • Fantastic location and unbeatable views

This was the perfect location for a family wedding. My only suggestion would be for an owners manual to help us locate items and understand operations of the house.

  • Perfect House for Relaxing

    5 of 5

This home was amazing. It was open and had different spaces to spend time in, but was comfortable. The owners were very responsive to any needs. The view was spectacular and the pool was a great size. I highly recommend this home!

  • Not as expected

    1 of 5

Everything in the house is older and was falling apart. The house was not cleaned well in preparation fro guests (i.e. found a cockroach and other bugs upon walking in). Very disappointing experience.

  • Great home with even better views

    5 of 5

Very spacious house with excellent views. We were very impressed. There were only 3 of us but could have fit 10 comfortably. If I come back to this area, this house will be my first choice.

  • Stunning View!

    5 of 5

12 of my friends and I stayed here for a bachelorette party and had a great time! The view is incredible and the pictures do not do it justice. We all slept comfortably and had plenty of room. The kitchen and living areas are big enough for big groups of people and the outside deck and second floor decks are perfect for large groups! The only issues we had were with some of the lights not seeming to work (or us not being able to figure them out) and some electronic key issues the first night. Other than that we had a great time and would definitely stay here again if we are back in town! An XL uber to downtown Scottsdale ranged between $15 - $35 each trip. Recommended to all!

  • Awesome location, view, pool, etc.

    5 of 5

We took our kids for 4 nights and couldn't have had more fun. Had to be a record number of cannonballs off the diving board! The combination of the incredible views (incredible is an understatement) and the great pool made it for us. Price was good, and everything was close. I saw some comments complaining about the smartphone/Bluetooth lock. I thought it was convenient and easy. Just showed up, and the vacation started immediately.

All other reviews are pretty accurate and spot on. The house is exactly as described and pictured on VRBO. Owner was excellent to work with, very responsive and professional. We arrived late on Wednesday and the few items in fridge were much appreciated. The house has a great layout for many guests, each bedroom/bath is pretty spaced out; the penthouse upstairs/patio area is also nice and private. The neighborhood is very quiet and we rarely saw anyone else. Pool and outdoor areas were great and we ended up spending most of the time outside. I agree with the other reviewer about wishing pool was heated, but for the kids on the trip, they were just fine and swam daily. The house could use a little updating but for the price and location, we were very satisfied. The furnishings are not over the top fancy so we felt very comfortable especially with 4 kids ages 7-10.We found ourselves staying in and cooking every night enjoying the amazing views this house offers. You are close to downtown Scottsdale. Ideas for the area...Thursday Artwalk in Scottsdale, Camelback Mountain hike, Cave Creek Outfitters for horseback riding- then after we had dinner at Pinnacle Peak Patio to complete the cowboy experience. Goldfields Ghost Town with kids (drive Apache Trail while in the area). Closest grocery was AJs (a bit pricey but very high quality). Overall, I would highly recommend this house.
