  • Not a good experience

    2 of 5

While the apartment looks exactly like the photos it was not a great experience. Pros: immaculately clean, convenient location, and except for noisy plumbing it is a quiet property Cons: lack of hot water, blinds on windows, and signage My plane arrived late at night and my daughter and I didn't get to the complex until late when it was quite dark. It took us nearly 40 minutes to find the actual unit or longer than it took to get from the airport to the complex. There were no markings of ANY kind on any of the covered parking spaces or garages. Thus, we never did find our assigned spot C10 which was supposedly located near our unit. We ended up parking near the dumpster throughout our 4 night stay. After parking, we then trekked through the complex in the dark looking for our unit. We came across signs on the ground advertising the various building letters e.g. B but never found ours. The actual numbers for the apartments were on 8" by 8" tiles which were propped up against the walls near the unit doors. Half of them had fallen over. So it took a long time to find the unit. We think that the building might have been being prepped for painting and and thus had all of the signage removed. However, why did no one from the host company let us know? They could easily have given us a map of the complex. The lack of thoughtfulness was disturbing. I had no phone number or any way to contact the hosts to get better directions except through an online chat room. And given that it took them over an hour and a nudge question (is anyone still there?) 2 days previously to confirm the street address, I didn't waste time. We were exhausted. 2. We finally found the unit. It was indeed bright as advertised. But what they never said was that NONE of the windows has blinds. They do all have curtains made of a white sailcloth type material. They are opaque (not see through) but do nothing to keep out any light. My daughter and I then spent another 45 minutes jury rigging some dark shawls/blankets over the drapery rods so that we could block some of the outside light (there were bright lights outside the windows for security). Who rents out an apartment without blinds?? 3. I then tried to take a hot bath. But the unit features very limited hot water. There was only ever enough to fill the tub half way. And we had to be careful not to take out baths without waiting 30 minutes. 4, The furniture looks cute but is uncomfortable.
