  • Beautiful, peaceful casita with fantastic host

    5 of 5

Laura is a great host who had paid attention to every detail to ensure a great experience. The casita is roomy, well appointed, and a gem of craftsman construction. We spent more time there than planned because of how wonderful the place is. Would definitely book again. Highly recommended.

  • Beautiful and quiet

    5 of 5

We loved this property. It was a quiet, lovely spot in Paradise Valley that was perfect for visiting our daughter who lives in Scottsdale. The green grass reminded her of home in the PNW and the front porch (and living room) were ideal for a glass of wine and watching the hummingbirds.

  • Welcoming lovely casita

Perfect for our family get together! Old barn wood adds character to this well designed casita in a lovely neighborhood.

  • Charming and comfortable.

    5 of 5

The casita is utterly charming and close to any services you may need. The owners were on site during our seven day visit and were completely unobtrusive. If we needed advise they were available otherwise it was a quick good morning or goodbye.

  • Excellent!

    5 of 5

We're 50 something cousins, meeting in the Phoenix area...one couple from California and the other from the Midwest. We were so fortunate to find this uniquely beautiful casita! Amazing property, in an incredible, upscale neighborhood. Two huge windows afforded breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain! Our hosts, Laura, Rick, Charlie and the doggies were welcoming, helpful, informative and so pleasant. Comfortable beds, excellent linens...zero problems. The house is an easy Uber to anywhere. Old Scottsdale, shopping, Giants game at Scottsdale Stadium and Cubs game at Sloan Park in Mesa. We walked to the Camelback trailhead one morning...perfect. So much to see and do...and of course our trip was far too short. We'll be back and hope this spot will be available again!

  • beautifully decorated, wonderful and flexible option when staying in Scottsdale/Phoenix area

    5 of 5

We found it challenging to find a rental for 2 to 3 weeks in Scottsdale because most were timeshares that could only accommodate specific weeks or very expensive homes for a large crowd. The casita was a perfect choice for us as we are looking to spend more time in Scottsdale in the future and it was a great way to get to know the area better. The home is in a very desirable neighborhood with a gorgeous view of Camelback and walkable/short drive to shopping etc. The casita is in the back of the large yard, and Rick and Laura were very sensitive to provide privacy. I encouraged the dogs to come by every morning, and Laura might call back to ask if they were bothering us (which they were not, as we are dog lovers); otherwise we would not have seen much of either the dogs or owners. It was like having your own place with a really good neighbor. The casita has 2 large bedrooms with very comfortable beds, wonderful bright and light new bathrooms, a large sitting area with a gorgeous fireplace, and table/chairs for eating/working. It is very tastefully (professionally) decorated in a western/southwestern decor. The kitchen is a mini kitchen but we weren't there to cook big meals, so it suited us just fine. There is a coffee maker, frig, microwave and that is all we needed for breakfast and maybe lunch. the area is great for bike riding (I borrowed one and my husband brought his, so we went on many long rides right from the house). I would not hesitate to stay there again the next time we are out there--in fact, that would be my first choice when planning a trip out to Scottsdale again.

  • ok but needs some fixes

    3 of 5

the house structure, baths and bedrooms were very nice, but the house was not really private. the big LR corner picture window had no shades, and the right side looks directly at the owner's house. so feels like no privacy. also owner could and did walk nearby and all around the casita with his young son, which felt odd. a mini-kitchen as advertised, but the dining table and chairs were flimsy, not quality. the tv was mounted on the wall by the dinette table, and not set up for the living room, more like just to have morning tv on. the patios are small. the back patio looks at a fence about 15' away, the front patio looks at the small pool and owners house. to enter, you park in the driveway off the street, then a fairly long walk down a gravel driveway/storage area to the casita in the back of the property, which had interesting landscaping and exotic plants. overall - ok, but quite pricy for us in April (peak season?). the owners were very nice.
