  • Perfect Tucson Getaway!

    5 of 5

Booking the Wild Purple Ranch for my son’s graduation from U of A was the best thing I did! Since we don’t live in Tucson and several family members were joining us, it was perfect having Nancy’s place to stay. There was room for everyone to sleep and stretch out. We were able to bbq dinners and make lunches without having to worry about booking a restaurant on such a busy weekend. The ranch is beautiful. You feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere, when you are actually only about 25 minutes from the campus. We took several walks through the 10 acres. The view from the veranda and the upper deck is stunning. We saw the most incredible sunsets! The house is so unique. It’s rustic with a beautiful Southwest flavor, complete with Saltillo tile and Mexican tile sinks. There are the antiques everywhere. At the same time it was very clean and comfortable. Nancy was a great hostess. She was very helpful and accommodating. We can’t wait to go back!

  • Family Reunion at A Wild Purple Ranch

    5 of 5

We planned a small family weekend reunion and looked for a private setting that would accommodate our group that ended up at 20. We could not have found a better place! Half of our group overnighted at a nearby hotel but all of us spent the days and evenings at this wonderful ranch. The house and grounds are beautiful and eclectic with tons of common areas for visiting and swimming, cards and games. The kitchen facilities were perfect as we wanted not to go out but prepare our own meals. Thank you Nancy, you are a beautiful and gracious hostess/owner! We will return!

  • Our stay at wild purple ranch

    4 of 5

The host was very nice. Answered all our questions and was wonderful to the children when they rode the horses. She taught them a lot about the horses. We had a good time at the pool. It was nice for our family to be able to stay in one house with each other. Our only issue was the uneven transition from room to room for our young children and older parents.

  • The Galapagos Girls do The Wild Purple Ranch

    4 of 5

As seasoned VRBO users, it is challenging to evaluate this house. Our host Tony has been incredibly responsive, helpful and kind. The desert setting was amazing and the location convenient to the city and national park, which made this a good place for our friend reunion. Kitchen is well equipped. Technically there are 7 sleeping areas, not bedrooms. We rented this house as individuals, not couples, so every bed was needed. The loft is up a steep, and at time of the review, unstable pull-down ladder, which is located in middle of one bedroom. The look-out area requires the guest to go downstairs and then outside to access a bathroom or the rest of the house. 3rd shower is a mounted handheld, wand and is an open shower so entire bathroom floor gets wet. Configuration of bunkhouse area was challenging, and required guests to go through either bathroom or the other guest’s bedrooms to access rest of house. Two of the three showers are in suite,so you must enter other guest’s bedrooms to use them. Plenty of furniture in the home, but much of it uncomfortable due to style and age. Patio was comfortable, quiet and a great view, and the walking spaces of the desert area were enjoyable. We had wonderful early morning and late night conversations on the patio enjoying the private and beautiful setting. Thank you for sharing your home.

It was a great place to have our family of 15 stay. Nancy was very hospitable and responsive. Everything, especially the scenery was wonderful. The upper deck at sunset is not to be missed.

  • We will be back.

    5 of 5

This beautiful ranch is absolutely stunning. We had a group of 8 adults and we had plenty of space both inside and out. The home itself is an eclectic work of art. Every piece of furniture and art are unique. Sitting outside looking at the view was a highlight. We also enjoyed the sunsets from the rooftop deck. There are many courtyards around the house. The dining room was a nice place to gather for dinner. The house was clean and Nancy was always available and helpful. There are restaurants and town near by. We enjoyed our daily hikes through the national parks. Overall, our whole group agrees that we would love to return! Thank you, Nancy.

  • Quiet, secluded, comfortable

    5 of 5

8 golfers stayed at the Purple Ranch. The house was roomy for sure. Huge porch/patio was our main gathering place. Great views. Comfortable sleeping areas for the 8 of us. Kitchen is huge and was fully furnished with everything we needed for meal preparation. Could use one more shower for large groups. We were very satisfied. Recommend to others.

  • Great place to stay

    5 of 5

This house is beautiful and large with awesome outdoor spaces. We had 15 guests and it was still comfortable. There is a large fireplace inside which was great at night during our January stay.

  • Beautiful, restful, rejuvenating

    5 of 5

Family from Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and Montana joined for a wonderful Christmas get together at the Wild Purple Ranch. The property fit the bill for hikers in nearby Saguaro Natl Park, quiet contemplation and family meals and conversation. Tucson is close by but you’d never know it. Nancy decorated for Christmas and even left us cookies. A wonderful host. We will return!

  • Beautiful location

    4 of 5

Our family of 17 rented the home to attend a wedding. We all had plenty of room and it was very comfortable. Nancy was extremely helpful and gracious. The surrounding area is beautiful and the yard and Gardens are also amazing to wander through. An added bonus was the National Park is very close by so we were able to visit that well worth the ride.
