  • It Worked For Us

    3 of 5

This house is big enough for a group of 10, with enough kitchenware to keep us all fed. The location was fine, convenient to amenities, in a pleasant neighborhood. The house itself is dated, in need of some repairs, and as stated in the information provided about the house, the back yard is completely unusable. The clothes washer was not working properly, which we were informed of shortly before we got there, and the ice maker also was not working. None of us ever figured out how to work the TV in spite of reading the directions multiple times, and the oven was difficult to use because the display didn’t work—never was sure how to turn it off, either. However, these deficiencies were reflected in the price of our stay. All in all, it was adequate for our group

  • Terrific Tucson Time!

    5 of 5

We arrived at our "home away" in the evening and were able to enter the home and make ourselves at home very easily. The home was spacious with plenty of room for our party. It was clean and very well outfitted with things we could use--like cooking pans, dinnerware, etc. etc. We were able to use the washer and dryer to do our laundry. The grandkids were able to spread out and play with their things in the spacious livingroom. This accommodation was all we required and expected and more! Thank you so much, Julie!

  • Great home, responsive owner

    5 of 5

We were a group of 10. We all enjoyed our stay. The house was modern and well furnished. Also had a great experience with the owner as they were always responsive. Would greatly recommend the place.

  • Needs work

    2 of 5

The house is large, on a big lot, with great views, and we enjoyed the easy access to the biking and hiking trails. Julie was very responsive to emails—especially about our issues with the TV--and tried what she could from afar to remedy the situation, but at the end of our 10-day stay it was still not resolved. At best this property is just ok. We’ve stayed in a variety of VRBO properties here in the US and Europe and this was the most disappointing. We emailed the owner a list of 18 issues—some very minor and some of more importance to the enjoyment of a stay here. We won’t list them here. Bottom line is this property, guessing about 15 years old, has had minimal maintenance and few if any upgrades. The landscaping was never finished including a partially constructed pool and property border walls--these projects appear to have been abandoned at least several years ago. Because of the exposed rebar around the pool and sticking up from footings where fence pillars would be build, a dangerous condition exists, which is pointed out in the VRBO site. Because of this we do not recommend this property for people with children, supervised or not. In response to our email with the list of issues, she said that she was working to resolve all the problems, but that could be some time. Julie advised that the low rent she charges for such a large house offsets the house’s deficiencies, and maybe it does. So, I guess you could say that you’re getting what you pay for. As noted above, we did stay here for 10 days so it’s not terrible. As the property is now, we cannot, give it a high recommendation. When it gets the attention it needs, it will be a great place to bring your family.

  • Good location, landscaping was nonexistent. House was a good size but was not set up for 10 people.

Many of the appliances did not work or worked poorly. Dinnerware and silverware for only 8, although the House was advertised for 10. Poor selection of pots and pans. We were not informed that the property is in foreclosure until a real estate agent came to the door wanting to see the house. We managed to have a good time, but cannot recommend this house for a group of 10 people.
