  • Our favorite "home away from home!"

    5 of 5

This will be our third visit to VRBO listing #431840, located in Mesa AZ. The home is large with four bedrooms and a hide-a-bed in the living room. Modern updated kitchen, private back yard, with orange and lemon tree. We love the private backyard and pool area, There is a barbecue, patio table with chairs, and ping pong table just outside the sliding door on the patio. The owner is very accommodating and if you need anything he will respond quickly. There is an attached garage with a washer and dryer. The location is one hour from Peoria, 20 minutes from the Cubs and Angels baseball stadiums. You won't be disappointed.

  • Wonderful Stay

    5 of 5

We came to Arizona to buy a home but there was a long hold up so we rented this home for almost two months. The owner was very hospitable and was more than willing to work with us on our length of stay. He was extremely accommodating and he was available whenever we needed him. The house has an open floor plan with a beautiful updated kitchen. The yard is large and the pool is Well maintained. We were there during the summer and having it was a life saver. The house is in a cul de sac so it is quite. The price was very reasonable - much less than other comparable properties we had looked at online . All in all a wonderful stay !

  • Owner cared that our stay was enjoyable, clean and safe

    5 of 5

This our family's first time using VRBO; we just moved to a new city; and the owner (Kent C) of this house made our transition very comfortable. On day three, we had trouble with the wash machine; we called him and he brought over a new machine that afternoon. He stayed and chatted a bit asking (with genuine) concern if we had other issues. So, if you want a clean, safe, comfortable, and reasonable priced place to stay place, you won't go wrong with this owner. I read a recent post about an un-happy client, I just can't see that this client gave Kent much of a chance to make it right; sure un-foreseen issues might arise, what counts is the manner and timeliness of Kent's resolution

  • Great place!

    5 of 5

We stayed a week in July of 2015 and we were very happy. Kent, the owner, is very personable and made us feel very welcome. It seemed as if we were good friends right off the bat and he did state that if we needed anything at all that we should contact him immediately so he can provide it. Even our family members (who live in the area) were impressed with the house! The house was out of trash bags and we were going to pick some up when we went to the store (he agreed to reimburse us for them) but we forgot so he went and got some right away for us. This is an awesome place to stay and we cannot hardly wait to be back for another visit! We highly recommend this property for you to stay at. Thank you Kent!!

  • Not what we were expecting AT ALL

    1 of 5

Was not impressed with this rental house one bit. We arrived at the house very late after our flight was delayed and the keypad to the front door was running out of battery, enough to the point where it took about 5 attempts to get in to the house for the bolt to finally unlock. From then on out we had issues with just about every part of the property. The beds need to be replaced badly, very uncomfortable old squeaky beds with sheets that do not even fit on it and a mattress toper with no waterproof protector GROSS. Other items that need to be replaced desperatly are the shower curtains and the towels. We had to wash towels just about every day, and we didn't even use the pool because there were so few and only 5 of us in the house, all of the towels were all ripped and torn. Then there is the problem with the water heater. If someone takes a 15min shower and you are next in line, you are better off waiting an hour till the hot water is replenished because you're going to end up taking an ice cold shower. Yes, there were many utencils to use in the kitchen but nothing seemed to be clean which was very unappatizing when trying to cook a meal. The bathrooms were also very unclean, the mirrors had toothpaste splattered all over them when we arrived. Instead of having the tenents clean up after themselves he would be much better off hiring someone to come and clean after every time someone stays in the house. The couches are extremely old and cloth, another turn off for our group. We had to buy our own toilet paper and laundry detergent because they both ran out in the middle of our stay even though they were suppose to be provided. The back yard however was nice, it was great to be able to walk out and pick an orange or lemon right off the tree. Thats pretty much all this house had going for itself.

  • NEw A/C

    5 of 5

We came in one day early for our daughters wedding. I called Kent and he gave us the code to get into the house. The house was very cute, we loved the back yards, it was split in two. Very nice covered patio with a nice grassy area for the dogs to play. Lots of mature trees and plants. The pool area which is separate was wonderful. I did laps every morning. Unfortunately the A/C went out while we were there, but Kent had another house even nicer for us to stay at just a short drive away while he had a new unit installed. We came down for our daughters wedding and had a great time. We will definitely stay with Kent again.

  • This is the place!!!!!

    5 of 5

We enjoyed every aspect of the home and it was everything we were looking for and more. We had an absolutely wonderful time. We rented 3 homes for a family reunion. The first house was 2 stories and it was large enough to accommodate our huge parties. Our second rental was also a 2 story home. We selected this house from the great reviews, our discussions with Kent and we needed a one story home for our older physically challenged relatives and mothers with children who did not want a home with stairs. Inviting and warm, I think out of the three homes this was the most visited. This property is in a cul de sac, just minutes from the grocery store and easy access to highway 60. The main house is very functional and comfortable. The house is well stocked, immaculately maintained, clean, organized and has a pleasing decor. The back yard has a large grassy area with shade trees. The pool is secluded, gated and set back to the side of the house. The pool was wonderful, sparkling clean. We are ping pong enthusiasts and during our initial rental process, I ask Kent if he ever thought about getting a ping pong table. Kent was open to the ideal and a month prior to our arrival he had purchased a ping pong table. We all did the happy dance and we had a fun...fun...fun time playing ping pong. I have rented several houses on VRBO. I have found the connection with the owner makes a difference. If the owner has a long response time after you obtain the phone number during the rental process, the delayed response time will continue when you have a problem while you are renting the home. Kent provides his cell phone number and we never had a problem getting in touch with him. Towards the end of our stay we were running out of toilet paper. My relative called him (I was a bit embarrassed) and a half hour later he was at the door with a handful of toilet paper. Now, that was service with a smile. It was like dialing "0" in a hotel. Kent is approachable, friendly, funny and he is always ready to assist you with any concerns regarding the house. Thank-you Kent. We'll be back. Check out Arizona Opry (winter/spring), The Duttons (winter/spring) and Organ Stop Pizza (open all year/evenings).

  • If you are thinking about a hotel, think again. This is privacy. Huge yard and fenced in pool

    5 of 5

We stayed at the house on south winsor. This is our first time renting a house. We usually stay with friends or get a hotel. I'm so glad my wife found this place. Kent is one of the most personable guys you will ever meet. He will go out of his way to help you. He knows where everything is and Mesa is real easy to get around. We gave him a call when we were about 5 miles out and he was there to meet us. The house, the pool, the yard, was just like the pictures no surprises. He takes his time to show you inside and outside and will answer all your questions. If you forget something just give him a call. He will help. My wife and I and our dog dillon booked this house all on our own. We asked friends to come, but they couldn't make up there mine. Needless to say we came on our own and had a great time. Plenty of room for the three of us. The heated pool was great for me and dillon while my wife was out with friends. We came to visit some friends in the area and get away from Iowa weather. We made this place our home away from home. We enjoy just being with each other as much as visiting friends. So if that is what you enjoy this is the place for you. We went to breakfast, dinner, Walmart, Lowes, and a fresh vegetable market all within 15 minutes, but we really like to just stay at the house and kick back. It is a very large lot for the area and very quiet. When it came time to go home we had the opportunity to stay an extra two days if we wanted. We did. By the way as I write this we are still here. Tomorrow is in the high 70s and the pool is calling my name. Thanks Kent

  • Garden Wedding w/50-60+, PERFECT!

    5 of 5

We met with Kent early in 2013 to discuss a small garden wedding along with a 7 day rental to house family members. Kent was perfect, to say the least. He took care of everything we needed, even bringing some of his personal stash of elderly-assist hardware like a shower stool. Better still; that we planned a small garden wedding (50-70 expected head count) didn't change his rates at all. Truly remarkable. This rental encompassed two firsts for us. First time renting a vacation home, and first time planning a wedding. By far, Kent's vacation home on Windsor was *the easiest* part of our plans, and we can't appreciate his efforts enough. It perfectly fit 7 60" round tables and 60+ chairs in the back yard with room for an isle, PA+mic, and so on. The patio was spacious enough to host multiple long tables, and the tree-line segregation along the swimming pool gate made for a perfect separate smoking area. My [new] mother-in-law stayed for 9 days, as we opted to extend her stay, and had no complaints about the neighbors, noise, or anything else. She greatly enjoyed Kent's remodeling of the guest bath, as it has a shower stall instead of a tub. As well, she appreciated Kent's understanding as he helped meet her special needs when asked. Also note: WE NEVER SAW ONE SCORPION OR SPIDER. NOT ONE. :) I live in AZ, and am always on the lookout for them. Not one sighted for all 9 days of our rental. You can't go wrong with this house; it's spacious, quiet, and comfortable!

  • We had a wonderful stay!

    5 of 5

Kent was there to greet us and give us a quick tour. He was also very helpful with dining, attraction, and shopping suggestions, as well as being accommodating with any special requests or requirements. The house is in a great area. Close to loads of shopping, restaurants, amenities, and the freeway – yet very quiet on a peaceful cul-de-sac. The backyard is huge, private, grassed, and fenced – prefect for playing pets and children. And the covered patio kwould keep even the hottest heat tolerable when you’re out there. The gated pool area is large enough to have been an adequate back yard on its own, so there is definitely no lack of outdoor space. The pool itself is quite large and feels very private. Inside, everything was clean and well organised. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and the carpet is about the softest I’ve ever set foot on. The kitchen is up to date and well stocked. I can’t say we do a lot of cooking while on vacation, but that kitchen almost made us want to put on the ol’ chef’s hat a few more times. The living room area has enough seating to accommodate everyone staying (even if you fill all the bedrooms with your group). And the fact that this is a true bungalow with no steps anywhere makes it very accessible and easy to navigate. After the stay, our deposit was returned in a timely fashion, and Kent's thank-yous made us feel that our business was truly appreciated. If you are planning a stay in the Mesa area, I would highly recommend this as your home away from home.
