5.0   -   Great stay in Sedona at the Historic Sedona Inn
Reviewed on May 24, 2019
We really enjoyed our stay in Sedona... the Historic Sedona Inn was comfortable and in a super location! A quick walk to the Main Street and a short drive to many beautiful hiking spots. Unfortunately the weather was not great, so we know we will have to go back to complete the hikes we missed. Debra met us on our arrival day, and it was very nice to meet her and she made us feel very welcome!! We recommend the Historic Sedona Inn!! Carolyn & Rick Montreal, Quebec, Canada

We live in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. We live here because we love to spend our mornings and afternoons in the wilderness and then to come home to a peaceful garden to have a beer, rest, read. Debra´s house in Sedona was exactly that but in spectacular Sedona. She was welcoming but not at all intrusive. We used the hot tub, the patio chaises the hammock. Great all around. Thanks!

Reviewed on May 02, 2019
This apartment was basically a bedroom, bath, and kitchenette so not huge and somewhat vintage (e.g., no dishwasher) but it was super cute and exactly what we needed for our hiking vacation. It also included a section of the yard with a grill, lounge chairs, and a table as well as a hot tub on a private patio which was lovely. Debra was awesome and very helpful. There were views of the red rocks from the backyard and it was walking distance to downtown Sedona. This is a great little spot for a weekend getaway!

We also loved the privacy and conveniency of checking in and out and the helpful info left by Debra. The home was incredibly clean and there were plenty of places to put our things. My husband and I have always been resort/hotel people, but we wanted to try something different and loved that this VRBO offered a hot tub on a private patio. The home was clean and well kept. It has all the kitchen and toiletries needed. It was walking distance to uptown, and we even walked down to Oak Creek Brewery in the art village. I don´t think I realized the rental and home were fully attached before, which took me back a little, but it was fine. Once again, we rented a bit out of our normal element. Debra was so friendly and made sure everything was good to go for us. I would recommend staying here!

Debra was very accommodating and thoughtful when it came to the heat and the A/C. Really things couldn't have been better. Only thing is VRBO gives different check in and check out times. Check out is at 10am. Not Noon. I had stayed into the cleaning ladies time there. But there was no harm, so no foul play. Will be recommending her Inn to my friends and family!

Yard was fabulous, neighborhood peaceful, easy access to highway 89 in both directions, hot shower, ceiling fan and AC worked well, cheerful, artistic, colorful decorations. Jacuzzi very relaxing. Debra very helpful and informative. Instruction and suggestion book gave us good ideas of things to do. Highly recommended. Only suggestions would be to have covers on the skylights in summer- it got a little warm during the day when the sun shone through the skylights. Not sure what can be done about the bed– creaky every time someone moves, and I think the head of the bed may slightly lower than the foot. I ended up sleeping with my feeet at the head board side.

We went to Sedona specifically for its mountain biking, and this place was perfect for lounging around between rides. The hot tub and canopied patio was a great place to relax out of the sun, and the lawn a nice place to drink a cup of coffee in the morning sun. The inside of the unit was smallish, but made great use of space. It didn't seemed cramped for my wife and I. As other reviews mention there is no living room, just a bedroom and kitchen with a dining area. There are lots of storage options in the bedroom and the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils. You can tell the owner was deliberate in furnishing this place to provide guests with a very comfortable and usable space. We cooked two meals a day for our three night stay and found the kitchen more than adequate.

This location is perfect for a couple traveling together! The space is smallish but extremely cozy and clean. Everything that you would need for a short stay is there and there is a great-looking (but small) kitchen, which we did not use at all. It is walking distance from the Hyatt resort that is just at the "Y," which is where Hwy. 179 intersects with Hwy. 89, and the mall that is there. As such, you can also walk to other attractions at the "Y." There is a lovely outside patio for sitting and drinking your coffee in the morning and also a hot tub, but we did not use that (a little too chilly when we were there). Communication with Debra was easy (mostly through text) and she made sure that we knew exactly how to get there and get in. Thanks! We had a wonderful stay and a great time in Sedona.

Debra was a great host. Communication was on point, and her place was impeccable when we arrived. The place itself was charming, and had everything you may need during your stay: refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, plates, utensils, etc. She even made some toiletries available just in case we needed them. The location is perfect, a short walk to everything uptown Sedona has to offer. I read some reviews stating the place was small, but I found it to be more than adequate. I would definitely recommend this place for a Sedona visit.

We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants, shops, and down to Oak Creek for drinks. At the same time, the property is nice and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Debra was accommodating and gave us her personal recommendations for restaurants and hikes in the area when we met with her. To be very clear, my partner and I both enjoyed our stay greatly and will absolutely stay again. We found Debra, the owner, very accommodating, helpful, trustworthy, un-intrusive, and she was a pleasure to work with for our vacation. That said a few notes to others to just be mindful of when booking the unit... the unit is very small, perhaps even slightly smaller than a standard hotel room. This is fine just be prepared for small and take advantage of the outdoor space to extend your living area. This space is absolutely limited to 2 people maximum. I liked to imagine our stay as a training video for living in one of those tiny houses you see on TV. And speaking of TVs, there is not one. Again, this is not a bad thing and we actually relished the opportunity of not getting sucked into turning a TV on just because it was there. Otherwise, it met all our needs and then some. Uptown Sedona was a very easy walk, hiking was just down the road or a short drive, beautiful scenery is everywhere you look, and the Jacuzzi was a real treat after a long day. It even came with friendly cat (Milo) who liked to demand attention in the early evenings. Given the very reasonable rates compared to other Sedona rooms and hotels, this is an absolute steal for one person or a couple. We will definitely be returning.

This cute house was perfect for our weekend getaway to Sedona. We weren't home much, so we it was really just for sleeping and relaxing in the hot tub after some hikes! We could walk down to the downtown area of Sedona within 5 minutes. The kitchen had some basic cooking items-which we didn't end up using since we ate out most of our stay, but was nice to have available if we wanted to cook a meal. There are two rooms, an eat-in kitchen and the bedroom. There was music, books, extra blankets, etc. We stayed in mid November, so it was quite chilly at night...but there was an electric heater that warmed the place up very quickly. Wifi worked great. Bathroom has a walk in shower, soap, shampoo, hair dryer...and everything was all very clean. The hot tub was easy to work and private, perfect to unwind at night. The light over the hot tub was a bit finicky but we were fine using our cell phone to get out there and Debra offered to bring a flashlight over. Debra was quick to respond to our needs/questions and had some great recommendations for a nice dinner out in the area. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for your hospitality Debra!

The house is very basic, bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen with dining table. It was perfect for us, we just really weren't at the house all that much. More a place we ate, slept, got cleaned up, and relaxed in between the other stuff we were doing. It is just a couple blocks to Uptown Sedona, and was definitely nice to be able to walk to restaurants and stuff because it takes FOREVER to drive anyplace most of the time around there. The owner was great and very helpful advising us about some things to do and places to eat! Definitely would recommend this home!!

You live once and you enjoy every experience. Not to pic at all the little things. If that's the case you will stay in a million dollar place. And you should not complain at all. but I'm sure there is people that will find a little things wrong. Well the best place in Sedona. My opinion, I enjoyed the natural beauty. I'll be back !!
