We loved our stay at Cake by the Creek! Sitting on the deck creek-side was so relaxing & the kids loved playing in the creek. Everything, from communication with the owner to the hotel fixtures in the bathrooms to the wonderfully equipped kitchen, was perfect. Thank you! We hope to stay again.

We had a small family gathering for the Easter weekend and could not have had a better place to celebrate. The house is perfect for families and the amenities were much appreciated. The two master bedrooms gave us privacy and the extra two bedrooms were more then enough for our family. We loved the huge deck above the creek so we could hear the running water while relaxing next to the fire pit. The kitchen was better then any other place we have stayed since it was well-stocked and had most everything we could need. The communication between ourselves and the owner was terrific. There were notes placed around the house to explain everything, including the closing rules, and we felt so assured we were doing what was expected. We are already talking about dates we want to come back. And it will be soon!

This cabin was so spacious and family friendly. We enjoyed cooking and eating and playing games in the main part of the house. We sat by the fireplace and warmed our feet after hiking. We enjoyed a fire on the porch and listened to the creek. It was magical! We will definitely stay here again! ❤️

My family and I had just the BEST time! The added bonus was the snowfall, just beautiful, was beautiful just watching fall, and fun to play in. The house was amazing! We had 7 adults and 2 kids (12 and 4) The house was in tip top shape when we arrived. We so enjoyed the firepit outside plus sitting on the patio enjoying the scenery. The kids so enjoyed the bonus, as well as us adults! My sons taught me the game of Foosball, I haven't laughed as hard as I did playing it! The indoor fireplace was such a joy! Just beautiful watching the flames and enjoying the warmth. We were amazed at how well the house was stocked, from the bathrooms to the kitchen. We really enjoyed playing games at the kitchen table, taking walks and talking to neighbors. Everyone so friendly and nice! I didn't want to leave! My family and I will cherish this trip forever! We made so many memories!

Cake on the Creek is a beautifully furnished cabin located right on Christopher Creek. The first thing I noticed was how clean the cabin is, a very important factor for any place we stay. The king size bedrooms (main and 2nd floor) have very comfortable mattresses. Fluffy towels in the 3 bathrooms (which were recently remodeled). A very large deck overlooks the creek with a built in fire pit made for nice evenings with family around the firepit. The kitchen is well furnished (no dishwasher), and the decor is very nice. Owner was very responsive and helpful to any inquiries. Cabin will sleep 8 comfortably. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed with the kids at this cabin for the last week. It was a a great time. Nicely updated, FANTASTIC patio for cards and games in the cool weather. It was also extremely well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of room for a large family or multi-family vacation. The bonus room has a futon plus bunk beds, we never felt cramped. A very quaint and safe feeling neighborhood. The owners were also very nice and kept us updated as our check in date approached. We loved it and will be back! Things to note for the area, not related to the cabin. There is a market VERY close (1/4 mile) that has a lot of odds and ends, but prices are as you would expect for a captive audience. The nearby restaurants are not open during the week (might have been since we stayed out of season in October). They were only open Thursday or Friday - Saturday or Sunday - so IF you are expecting to eat out, make sure you are covered on meals for the weekday days/nights.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and are already looking forward to going back again. It's very comfortable and clean. The owner is very responsive. It's so peaceful to sit on the back deck and listen to the creek. We also enjoyed hiking around the area. Beautiful area! Highly recommend!

We had a terrific time in this beautiful place. It was clean and plenty of room with GREAT access to the bubbling Christopher Creek. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Saw Elk in the front yard. More than a pleasant time. We do not want to leave. Thank you!

This was my first Homeaway rental and it was worth it! The cabin is Clean, Roomy and Very Cozy. The Deck was a great place to relax and the sound of Elk Bugling in the morning and Afternoon was amazing. My Family and I really enjoyed are stay and will be sure to book again in the future. The cabin was great for a large group of adults, plenty of sleeping space and bathrooms. We spent most of our time on the patio listening to the sounds of nature and the creek. The owner was very responsive to all of my questions. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay in Payson! We escaped the heat in Phoenix and enjoyed our amazing weekend getaway on the creek. The house was clean, stocked and perfect for a family. The outdoor space is great for outdoor dining and the creek was a huge hit with my five-year-old son. He was able to safely explore around and hop from rock to rock without it being too deep or dangerous. The sound of the creek at night is magical. If you get the chance, I highly recommend staying on Christopher Creek.

This cabin is so peaceful and relaxing with the creek right off the large back deck. Great setup inside and out. Has everything you need. We liked it so much we already booked our next stay there in a couple of months. Highly recommend!

We had a pretty large group with us (11 people) and we never felt cramped. There was plenty of room for all us. The house is right next to the creek, perfect for the kids to play in :). The houses are pretty close together but that didn´t bother us. The owners responded quickly and effectively which I was pretty impressed by. Thank you again Kevin for all of your hospitality!!

My family (7 of us) had a great time. We were a little worried about not having a/c but the weather was not as hot as we thought it would be. We thoroughly enjoyed having evening dinners on the patio with the trees surrounding the house and listening to the creek. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Kevin was easy to work with and quick to respond if we had questions. Would recommend for a quick getaway from the heat!

We spent the weekend there with our little family. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. My kids loved spending the day in the creek while we sat on the porch and watched. The house was very spacious. We cooked every meal in and the kitchen was well stocked. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. We would definitely come back!

This was our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first. The cabin is stocked with everything you´ll probably forget to bring with you and is very clean and comfortable! We had so much fun playing games by the fire and making s´mores at night, going for hikes or just enjoying the creek right off the back deck. We will absolutely be back again!

Well maintained, and perfect for a small getaway. I would highly recommend to anyone. The owner is incredibly reasonable, professional, and communicates in a very fast timely matter. A member of my group accidentally packed away a tv remote in his belongings, and the owner was very understanding, and worked out arrangements for him to send it back (my friend is out of state.) I will be going back again, and recommend to anyone. Property is well maintained, and offered a wonderful break from the valley.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cabin. We made s´mores outside in the fire pit, hiked by the creek in See´s Canyon and even got to have some playtime in the snow by Woods Lake. A perfect getaway for our family of 3! The only negative was some pretty loud neighbors that stayed on their patio until well after 3am, making it hard for us to get a good nights sleep.

My family and I stayed here for Christmas and had a great time. The house had everything we needed and some. Sitting out back on the deck was very tranquil because of the creek. We will definitely be back again soon.

The cabin is beautiful and cozy and stocked with everything you need. We had so much fun making s´mores, sitting by the fire, playing games, and watching movies at night. During the day we went on several gorgeous hikes to See Canyon and Box Canyon (what the activity book inside the cabin refers to as Christopher Creek Gorge), walked by the creek, and enjoyed sitting on the deck. We had such an amazing time and would live to stay here again!

The house is very nice everything was as listed. Two master bedrooms with full baths were great. Had Elk visit to get the apples growing in the front yard. Couldn´t ask for anything additional at this place.

Family of 4 and 2 grandparents stayed here for the Labor Day weekend. It was a great location. We loved drinking our coffee on the deck each morning and hearing the water in the creek. My kids loved hearing the frogs and crickets at night. They also loved the foosball table! The kitchen was great, it had everything we needed. Grandma was impressed that there were nice, fluffy towels in the bathrooms. It's kind of a silly thing, but in some places we've stayed, the linens, towels, etc. are pretty bad. We would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved staying at this property. The area and cabin are beautiful. The cabin is well setup for guests and Kevin was very prompt with any questions. The wifi connectivity and Verizon reception is also good if you're looking to do some work away from home. Thanks Kevin!

Nicely updated cabin right on Christopher Creek. Only 4 in our party but could easily sleep 6+. Very clean and comfortable. There is no dishwasher so bring some paper plates, and cups if you don't want to do dishes. The deck is large with a great view of the creek, slept with windows open and could hear the creek flowing by. Perfect!

Cabin was very clean and organized and fit our family perfectly. My daughters loved exploring the creek and I believe we ate almost every meal out on the back porch beside the creek. Thank you so much for your making this cabin available to us, it made for a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend.
