Jim and Sandy are great hosts. They really make you feel welcome. The location is about 40 minutes from downtown Tucson, which is exactly what we were looking for. We have already reserved for next year! Terry & Caroline

If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. House layout is great. Star gazing at night is the best. Jim and Sandi (Host) are the most wonderful people. DÝ©cor is just beautiful.

Our family gathered at this Sonoran Desert Get Away for Thanksgiving. It was peaceful and comfortable, with every imaginable detail furnished. Warm, fresh, DELICIOUS banana bread was awaiting us, along with a wonderful bottle of wine. The owners, Sandy and Jim are warm, friendly, sincere and more than willing to accommodate any need that arise. It was truly a fabulous experience. We will definitely do this again!

I cannot say enough about our stay! From the beginning when we arrived until the time we left our stay was perfect. The house exceeded my expectations for my family. We were greeted with fresh baked banana bread and a bottle of wine. We took advantage of the grill a couple of nights and made several meals in the well stocked kitchen. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms were very nice also. Plenty of room for us to stretch out and relax after a long day. You could not ask for a better place with folks that truly care! Thanks so much for allowing us to stay with you!

The house was perfect for our trip. Well stocked and well maintained. Jim and Sandra made us feel very comfortable and ensured our visit was issue free. The decor is southwestern and well done. The home felt very comfortable and ee enjoyed the tranquility of its location and watched many gorgeous sunsets from the backyard. The next time we visit the area we will book the house again. If the house is unavsilable, we will change our dates to stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was very spacious, very clean and super comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, there were games and books for the kids and the views from the back patio were beautiful! If your family is headed to Tucson, I highly recommend staying here!

From the evening we arrived to a warm banana bread welcome to the day we left wishing we could stay in the warm weather longer, we loved our third visit to the Tucson area from Minnesota. When we visit again (not if) we plan to stay with Jim and Sandra at Diamond Bell Ranch. The kitchen even had a dish washer that was not named for my wife (or me) so we had no dishpan hands! The house is located 20 or so miles outside of Tucson so the night sky is right in your face. There is wild life, a sun porch, three outdoor sitting areas, and nice furnishings. A great place to stay with plenty of room to move.

5.0   -   Beautiful, Comfortable and Well Maintained home

This is a roomy, gorgeous and comfortable home that we can't recommend highly enough. The photographs absolutely do not do it justice. The two larger bedrooms are very roomy and allow for lots of privacy. There are three outdoor patios on various sides of the building which allow for sun or shade any time of the day. The spacious back yard is beautifully maintained and private. The common areas are roomy and full of incredibly comfortable furniture and amenities. The home is absolutely spotless. The hosts live right nearby and respond immediately and effectively to any concerns that arise. They are warm and welcoming to guests while being totally respectful of one's privacy. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed long morning walks in the area. The only potential drawback is that there is quite a lengthy drive to any activities and restaurants, but that is to be expected if one chooses a home outside of the City.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Jim and Sandy´s guest home. It was a pleasure meeting both of them, as they are very kind, and generous people. They have done an awesome job making this house a place someone can call home, even for a short time. My family and I stayed for 8 days total. Every day my children told me they wanted to move there. We loved the layout of the home. It´s so spacious, but didn´t leave us feeling isolated from each other. We absolutely loved the beautiful backyard; complete with brick walkways, sitting areas, a gas grill, and patio table. It was perfect for enjoying the warm weather, morning sunrises, and evening sunsets of the Southwest. On our third day, we drove past a heard of deer feeding along our driveway. As we got out of our van, my boys and I walked slowly towards them with our cell phones in hand to get some pictures and a video. To our surprise they tolerated our curiosity; some even resuming their feeding. One was a young buck, the others were does; about seven total I believe. Although we had a lot of activities planned, and family to visit in the Tucson area, we always enjoyed coming back to this comfortable home at the end of the day. Thank you so much, Jim and Sandy, for sharing your guest home with us! We look forward to returning one day. Angela

My self and wife, 24yo son, and wife's parents stayed at Jim and Sandy's house for our annual Thanksgiving week vacation. Upon getting close to arriving I contacted Jim and he told me how to get into the house as they were out to dinner. We got in easily and started unloading supplies. There was even a fresh homemade loaf of banana bread on the kitchen counter and a bottle of wine! After a short while, Jim and Sandy showed up and welcomed us to their rental home. Jim took me around to show me the amenities, washer/dryer, etc. while Sandy chatted with the rest of the gang. This house is very welcoming and well laid out. Lots of recliners and the sofa was actually comfortable. The enclosed sun porch was a great place to enjoy my morning coffee. The kitchen is well stocked and it's incredibly easy to find everything. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. My wife and I kept our bedroom windows open all night and listened to the coyotes howling in the distance. We woke to the sounds of the many different kinds of birds waking up with us. Overall there is a great sense of silence outside with the only sounds those of nature. We never needed the heater or air conditioning but we did have several cozy DuraLog fires in the fireplace. We went for several walks on the trails and roads, visited the Kitt Peak National Observatory nearby and I enjoyed spending some time wandering around with my camera. There is a mini-mart in nearby 3 Points as well as a couple of dollar stores and a hardware store. We visited with Jim and Sandy a few times. They are very friendly and really want your stay to be enjoyable. I got the sense that they would let us take the lead in just how much interaction with them there was even though they are just across the street. Overall a fantastic stay in the Arizona desert!

We are so pleased we chose your Diamond Bell home for our stay in this area. Not only were our evenings special as we looked out over the desert to Kitt Peak and watched as the stars slowly appeared, a highlight after a day of touring, but the house itself was an attraction. I loved: the photo of the cowboy legs, the huge dream catcher, the Cowboys over the mantel, the lasso, the miner's lamp, the....... (Why did I start listing the art pieces! There are too many that catch my fancy); then there are are first class details, from the towel holders to the Proctor & Gamble box to hold the towels. My husband and I are in the Calamity Jane room and I am charmed by all the whimsical decorations from the child size cowboy boots, children's books to the child's hand drawn picture of the 3 horses. They make me smile every day. We have rented homes in other states and in Canada but none have had such a well equipped kitchen. Wonderful! We toasted you when we drank the "cowboy" wine and munched on the pistachios. We fought over the last pieces of your banana bread and agreed that it would be a fond memory of our stay. It's true that the house is located some distance from some of the sites (although the Sonora Desert Museum is quite close) but we didn't find this a problem because the house was so perfect. We are so flattered that we are trusted with the care of your desert home.

If you're looking for glitzy nightlife, accessible restaurants, shopping galore then this place is NOT for you. But if a quiet, nature-filled, laid back setting with awesome hosts appeals, then this location will become your favorite! Though a 20 mi. drive from downtown Tucson this charming, western motif, well appointed, immaculate 3-bedroom home will be your escape after a busy day sightseeing. A fenced yard with outdoor seating to enjoy a BBQ while watching an awesome sunset or viewing wildlife from the confines of this charming casita will make you pinch yourself. There are not enough superlatives to describe this great vacation home as well as the warm welcome and helpfulness from its owners - complete with fresh muffins upon arrival!

I feel lucky to have found this casita out of thousands of rentals in the Tucson area. Read these reviews and they are consistently accurate. One of the owners, Sandy designed this house with her love of Western art. Both Jim and Sandy pay attention to every guests needs or requests. They are personable and treat you like friends as soon as you arrive. But if you want privacy and your personal space, they guarantee that as well. The house was immaculately clean everywhere. I took my shoes off and put slippers on because the tiled floor was so colorful and clean. I didn't want to change that appearance. Everything functioned well, I couldn't say anything negative here except the house is starting to book up quite a bit in advance. I had to look for another place to live in the future because I love the location so much. The coyotes really do howl here and there but don't bother you. I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and listened to the birds, watched the Javalinas visit, saw the Mule Deer browsing and was humored by the activity of the Roadrunners. There were fleeting Hummingbirds and cooing Mourning Doves. I drove from the house to the Tucson downtown exit in 25 minutes. It was wonderful to have such peace yet close accessibility to Tucson. The Diamond Bell Ranch neighborhood consists of nice homes and I always felt safe. Overall great hospitality. Sandy baked some blueberry muffins for me that were delicious. Great to have waiting for me on my first morning.

This home is beautiful, spacious, inviting, and I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Tucson. The home was fully stocked, clean, and Jim and Sandy were helpful and wonderful proprietors. The price really doesn't do the home justice--you are getting an incredible bargain when you stay at Diamond Bell. We saw deer, heard coyotes, took great walks in the desert and saw all kinds of wildlife. Comfortable rooms, two large bathrooms, we will definitely stay here again.

What wonderful people and a wonderful get away! Sandy and Jim were fantastic! Sandy had the house smelling wonderful with banana bread that she had just baked for us! The house was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything that you could possibly need. We loved being out in the desert where we could relax and watch the wildlife that passed by! Loved seeing the open range cattle, javelina, coyotes, and birds! We had friends come down from Phoenix and they loved the place too! Cindy Lou's II was a great place near by for eating.
