  • Tucson getaway

    5 of 5

This was our first time staying at a VRBO it was a great experience! So much more comfortable than a hotel ! I would recommend it highly! The place was extremely clean and comfortable. It was close to everything that we wanted to do. It was like a hidden paradise!

  • Charming, comfortable home

    5 of 5

First impression of the property was that it was a welcoming, well-kept home. This impression never changed throughout our stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen adequately stocked with supplies, and the enclosed patio was wonderful for early morning coffee and as it turned out, watching a momma bird and her babies. We appreciated the garage which kept our car out of the hot AZ sun. The location on the western side of town was perfect...close to Gates Pass Road which took us to the Desert Sonara Museum and within a mile of shopping center. The neighborhood was small and quiet with walkable sidewalks.

  • Charm, Style, Beautiful Mountain Scenery

    4 of 5

Lovely home with a stunning Mountain View. Within minutes of downtown, walking trails, and grocery store. Comfy beds and fully equipped kitchen. Large private patio with a lovely pair of morning doves nesting. Jenny the owner is extremely responsive and helpful. If it matters the only TV is located in the master bedroom. Loved our stay!

  • Great 4 Us!

    5 of 5

For many years, our family of four adults (who live in opposite corners of the country) has enjoyed re-connecting in rental homes for a week in winter. Casa de las Montanas provided us with a wonderfully clean, quiet, and comfortable home for our 2018 reunion. And it was convenient! With easy access to stores, restaurants and the varied activities available in downtown Tucson, and the proximity of a neighborhood nature preserve, we always had nearby choices of interesting things to do and places to explore. Our usual preference is to eat in. Jenny's kitchen was absolutely the best-equipped kitchen we have ever encountered in a rental! Like Jenny herself, it was pleasant, efficient, and certainly accommodating. Casa de las Montanas was great for us!

  • A very nice place!!!

    5 of 5

My Italian guests, for whom I rented this house, were extremely happy with the house! It is very nice, well kept, and close enough to UA to make it a very good home away from home for them during their very busy visit (work-wise) in my lab!

Our stay at Casa De Las Montanas was a fantastic experience. The house is spacious with a nice backyard. It’s a tranquil location yet a short drive to downtown and shopping. The host was easy to reach and responsive to all of our needs. We highly recommend this host, house and location!

  • Tucson comfort

    5 of 5

We stayed here a week in mid February. This is an unusual town home, filled with eclectic artwork. We have rented homes many times, and we can say this property is super clean! The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans etc. The kitchen has all been updated with modern appliances, and there is a very nice laundry area. Master bedroom: Huge! The bed is very, very comfy. We did use the fireplace one night - so pretty! The courtyard is very nice too, unfortunately we didn't use it as much as we liked due to unseasonable cool weather. Jenny, the owner was so nice to work with, and was very accommodating, and quick to answer any questions. There are easy walking trails right across the street, just open land, no neighbors on that side. Street noise in general was minimal. Easy access to I-10, and downtown, and west Tucson. Just FYI- the only TV is located in the master bedroom. This was fine for us, but if you are traveling with kids, or another couple, keep that in mind. Great home, great location!

  • Great place for our first visit to Tucson

    4 of 5

My wife and I stayed in this cozy hacienda for 2 weeks in January. The home is as described and clean. The neighborhood is quiet. The location is convenient, with grocery and drugstores a few minutes away by car and quick access to I-10. The house was well stocked with paper products and detergents. Jenny, the owner, was very responsive to our questions and requests. We really enjoyed our visit and can recommend staying here.

  • Truly, A Perfect Home Away from Home

    5 of 5

On our return trip to Tucson, we were lucky to be able to again book this charming townhouse. We loved everything about this property on our first visit, its cleanliness, its amenities, its peacefulness, and its location, and this time we were equally pleased. As before, Jenny left brochures, books, magazines, and lists of activities and restaurants we might enjoy, and we put them to good use looking for new adventures. Among these included the Turquoise Trail, a self-guided walking tour of downtown Tucson; The Tucson Botanical Gardens, with its magical butterfly house; both the Arizona State Museum and the Arizona History Museum, located on the University of Arizona campus; and even a U of A baseball game watching not only the players but the incredible sunset over right field. All of these were quickly and easily accessed from Casa de la Montanas. When we were not out exploring, we enjoyed the private courtyard for reading, relaxing, and eating breakfasts and dinners from La Freitas West, a nearby authentic Mexican take out or prepared in the townhouse's well-stocked kitchen with groceries we purchased from nearby stores. Our favorite restaurant during this stay was Pasco Kitchen, which we visited twice! Jenny has gone out of her way to make this townhouse the perfect hub for a Tucson vacation.

  • Great location for getting to know Tucson

    4 of 5

This is a comfortable home located in a great spot to see and tour Tucson and it's environs. The home is well stocked with all the amenities needed, spacious, and has a great outdoor courtyard. The owner is very easy to work with and responds quickly to any needs. It's located in a nice neighborhood, and has very pleasant views of the surrounding mountains. This home is very close to the I10 freeway, downtown, the U of A, great restaurants, and the many sight seeing attractions in the Tucson area. It was a perfect location for our first visit to Tucson.

We really enjoyed staying at this house. There are so many wonderful places nearby. The Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park West and Tucson Mountain Park (the best place to be at sunset) are a short drive to the West. There is an open area across the street where you can hike. Just south within walking distance, is A mountain and Tumamoc Hill, both are great places for a walk. Downtown is just a short drive from the house. Definitely go to Sabino Canyon! The house is just as described and is located in a quiet neighborhood. It is the well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We spent much time on the large patio area, part is open and part is covered. Several nights while we were there a great horned owl perched behind the house on a utility pole. Jenny was a pleasure to deal with and was always quick to respond to any questions. If we go back to Tucson, we will stay here again.

  • Very nice place to hang your hat!

    5 of 5

We have stayed in many different places when visiting Tucson over the last 5 years. This property is very well situated to access the freeway, downtown area or the U of A campus. The house and grounds are very clean and livable. We will certainly want to stay here again when we come back to visit beautiful Tucson.

  • An Exceedingly Comfortable Place To Stay In Tucson

    5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in Casa de las Montanas for 8 days in April, during our first visit to Tucson. We were not disappointed when we arrived for our stay. The townhouse was just as described on the website. It was clean, spacious, bright and airy and thoughtfully furnished with many pieces of furniture in the south western style. The furnishings complimented the style of the townhouse. As well, the kitchen was well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful outdoor area with its views. We ate breakfasts and several suppers there and also enjoyed the company of the many birds who live on and around the property. The townhouse was well located for the airport, and for shopping, as well as all the other places of interest we wanted to visit. For interested coffee lovers, we discovered "Raging Sage" on N. Campbell Avenue in Tucson. An intimate coffee house with a small patio with orange trees. Great coffee and very, very, good baked goods. All in all, we recommend Casa De La Montanas as an exceedingly comfortable place to stay when visiting Tucson.

  • A lovely home to rent again.

    5 of 5

Two of us couples needed to escape midwest frigid temps and snowfall, chose to meet in Tucson and chose to rent a house together. We loved this beautiful casa, found it to be accurate in description, clean upon arrival, beautiful location in an already fantastic town, and a very well-stocked kitchen, implement-wise. We four used the kitchen often. We all agreed about the very comfortable beds, too. We found the friendly owner easy to work with as she and I talked details through several emails. We usually enjoy the east side with its wonderful Sabino Canyon, but this casa was instead close to all the west side places of beauty - Saguaro Monument West, Desert Museum, Tucson Mountain hiking, Kitt Peak, and more. If you do still go to Sabino Canyon on the east side, start out earlier than you think as its parking lot fills up fast during snowbird season. Some favorite places we enjoy in Tucson no matter on which side of town we stay. We always visit Pima County Air Museum, radio-control airplane flying field way on east side on Valencia, Bookman's (secondhand books, jigsaw puzzles, games, musical instruments, etc.) on Speedway in Monterey Village. If you just want to relax, this casa has a beautiful covered patio. Yes, we recommend staying here.

  • On the threshold for hiking in Tucson

    5 of 5

We are hikers and this home decorated with southwestern flair was a great location for easy access to dessert hiking in Saguaro West National Park or we could stay at home and appreciate dessert flora in the privacy of our own courtyard and patio. The house is in a small tasteful development, but there is a feeling of seclusion. It is also within minutes of the Santa Cruz River trail for miles of easy walking and biking. The Tucson Dessert Museum is also nearby. It is easy to find stores, fresh produce and restaurants. The description of the location, house and amenities is accurate and we felt right at home. The friendly owner responded promptly to our questions. We definitely would recommend this property.
