Our 700 square foot guest house is just perfect for a couple or young family seeking a Tucson get-away. We live on the property and are available to help you in planning your stay in Tucson. You´ll find the guest house private, clean, comfortable and affordable. We have Wi-Fi. You can enjoy your breakfast on the private patio, grill your dinner on the BBQ gas grill, take a stroll in the neighborhood and stop by the park just around the corner, or walk to any number of restaurants or shopping areas. We are on the Suntran bus routes. Within a 30 minute drive you can access any Tucson area attraction (e.g., Desert Museum, Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Sabino Canyon), wonderful hiking, 4 shopping malls and much more.

Perfect stay

My stay was ideal and Penny is the perfect host. The unit was very clean, cozy and very very quiet. Perfect location for cycling and golf. Located less than 1.5 miles from the loop you are able to get anywhere in Tucson via bicycle. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again. An added bonus is the lemon tree off the private patio. Great place to stay!!

La Madera is a charming and comfortable place to stay! Penny and Dennis are wonderful hosts. The location was great for the day trips we had planned. We will consider La Madera if our travels have us returning to the Tucson area. Thanks Penny and Dennis for your hospitality!

Mostly clean, comfortable and quiet, esp. since we were out exploring Tucson most of the time! Bathroom a bit shabby. Hosts provided a helpful binder of suggestions for shopping, dining and local attractions. Good central location for getting to mountain parks.

We enjoyed our stay at LaMadera. We had everything we needed and more! The bed was very comfortable. Great location, close to a lot of restaurants. A short drive to Sabino Canyon. No complaints!

Penny and Dennis offer a beautiful private guest house that is both comfortable and clean! It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. I really loved my stay at this little paradise in the desert 🌵 They even have filtered water, which is a big plus for me!

Great place and wonderful hosts

The guest house is in a great location with many stores and restaurants nearby. It's a quite and pleasant neighborhood to walk around with a park around the corner. The casita is spacious and comfortable, well stocked and even has a washer and dryer which is handy. Penny and Dennis are very helpful, friendly, and responsive hosts and always willing to help right away with any questions or problems. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay again in the future.

There are times when something takes place that are beyond the control of any property owner, no matter how attentive they might be. A couple of these events took place during our stay but the important quality was how responsive Penny and Dennis were in ameliorating the issues. They were gracious and insightful hosts. We enjoyed our stay in the guest house owned by Penny and Dennis. There is so much to see in the area, so we were super busy. If we had any questions, all we had to do was ask them and they were there to see to our needs.

Penny and Dennis are amazing. The house is very clean and welcoming. We were getting in late and they had the lights on for us as well as the heat running and sofa bed made up ready to go. They even helped with carrying our groceries. I can't imagine staying with anyone else when in town. They are a dream come true and very much appreciated. See you next year!!!!

Wonderful stay in Tucson

We enjoyed our stay in Tucson at Penny and Dennis' Guest House. It was very well stocked with all sorts of thoughtful items. It was also comfortable and was very handy to all the places we visited. We would recommend this property to anyone and would stay here if we were to visit Tucson again.

Cozy and Private

Penny and Dennis were great hosts/landlords. They were both very nice and always available for any issues that might come up, yet they also gave me plenty of privacy. The house was very well stocked with plenty of linens and towels. An unexpected surprise was the additional products they supplied; toilet tissue, paper towels, kleenex, cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. The queen size bed had a memory foam pad on top of a good mattress and was very comfortable. Both of my guests who used the sofa sleeper reported that it was adequate and comfortable. There was a memory foam pad to use with it as well. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes for my use along with several appliances. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed very safe. There was a nice little park a block away; great for morning walks. It was handy to grocery stores, a variety of churches and many restaurants. My overall experience was better than expected and I will certainly put this place on the top of my list for future stays.

Comfortable, private and great central location.

So many times when you travel it's hard to find a place where you can relax and kick up your feet. This property lets you do that. It has all the convenience of home, comfy bed, furniture you can nap in and rest your body after a day of hiking at Mt. Lemmon. Great central location to all of Tucson. Kitchen is well stocked so you can make most anything and a very nice patio to have your morning coffee and watch the morning doves make a nest. The flowers are great too! We will most definitely be using this rental again.

Tucson Getaway Weekend

My husband and I visited Tucson for a few days. We wanted to ride the bike trail, visit some local attractions, enjoy good meals. This guest house was perfect for our needs. It is close enough to walk to some local restaurants and get to the bike trail without loading up the bikes to get there. Penny and Dennis were very helpful and offered some good suggestions for dining and other activities. The guest house is very quiet and secluded behind the owner's home. Security on the property is very good. I would definitely recommend this property for a couple or small family. If we ever go to Tucson again, I'll check to see if the guest house is available. Thanks to Penny and Dennis for making our visit pleasant and memorable.

The guest house was clean, organized, well supplied and very secure. Its central location made it very easy to visit all areas of Tucson. Grocery stores, shops and other venues were easily accessible and nearby.
The one bedroom was perfect for two people. Plus we enjoyed the patio space, grill and the washer/dryer were terrific additions.
The owners Penny and Dennis were very friendly and available. They promptly responded to all of our needs. Also they made us feel very welcome.
Our only regret was that we only stayed one week!

Had a great time in Denny and Penneys cottage. Very nice place and very clean. Nice little patio in the back for lunch or chats with friends. Grocery store and restaurants nearby if you are not interested in driving around to eat. They will probably see me again!

Lovely Guest House

Everything worked out perfectly in our recent stay at this lovely guest house. The outdoor patio was blooming with colorful flowers and the rooms were thoughtfully decorated in addition to having very comfortable furniture in the living room, dining area and bedroom. The kitchen also had everything we needed. Penny and Dennis were perfect hosts answering any questions we had but never intruding on our privacy.
