We had a great time at the cabin! Relaxing, secluded, cozy and quiet. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We initially had a small hiccup with the wifi but Janet responded right away and all was good! The kitchen has well thought out amenities. The only thing I would mention is that there is no conventional oven, only a toaster oven. We were able to adjust our meal plans to work around that fact, but I just wanted to mention it for others. We would definitely come back again! Thank you Janet!

This cabin suited our needs well. It was close to Prescott and hiking trails. Kitchen was well equipped and the pull out bed was surprisingly comfortable. Very cosy for us. Two issues that would improve the experience would be to replace the shower head which provided a very poor water flow (pretty inexpensive). The second would cost more but the recliner´s better days are behind it. We were afraid that it would give it up for good. I had one problem while there and Janet responded immediately to my e mail.

The cabin is great ! everything works and the view onto the surrounding property is wonderful. Tucked back on a private lane you're assured of a quiet stay with town a mere 4 miles away. It's pretty small but plenty good ,especially if the kids like a cool loft area to sleep in. Don't forget the stream running below the cabin !

My wife and two daughters stayed here and loved everything about the experience. Close to town and the necessities, but in a quiet little section of the woods where it's peaceful and private. I would recommend this property.

We loved the quiet out here–far enough from downtown to avoid all the summer traffic, but close enough that everything is within a few moment's drive. An excellent choice for those who want to hit the trails, as a trailhead leading to dozens of miles of trail is just a half-mile up the road from the property. Lovely place!

Janet is wonderful to deal with and so accommodating. It's obvious their little place is loved and cared for which makes for the best stay. It was the perfect place to escape the holiday fireworks with our furry kids. It's far enough away from town that you still feel like you're escaping but yet, Safeway is 5 min down the street. The gated, wrap around porch was wonderful for the dogs and allowed us to enjoy inside and out without worrying about losing anyone. Thanks for the awesome memories!

We wanted a vacation with no traffic, no crowds, no long lines to stand in with loud rude people and out of control children and no pressure to spend, spend, spend. That is exactly what we got. The location is ideal - Less than 10 minutes to groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc., but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet, clear starry nights, light hiking and we even got a visit from a deer one early morning! The cabin was small enough for us to enjoy family meals and game nights together.

My favorite spot was drinking coffee on the deck with the beautiful view. You can go a couple of miles down the road and be at a grocery store, but you feel like you are far from town with the woods surrounding you. Very peaceful and relaxing. Perfect spot to go downtown 5 minutes away and eat at The Palace. They have good food and the waiters and waitresses dress up as cowboys and cowgirls. The cabin is just as beautiful inside as outside. It is nice and homey,

I´ve had such a wonderful experience with finding a perfect place using HomeAway! The cabin in Prescott was out of this world! Nice and clean, with amazing view of surrounding areas of mountains in the far and tall ponderosa pines right next to relaxing porch. There were sightings of bunch of squirrels and also deer. My dog enjoyed our hiking adventures not far from the cabin. Place is so peaceful and quite special. I´ve had an opportunity to meet cabin owners who went above and beyond to make sure that my stay is one of the best vacations ever. Thank you Janet and Dan!!! I would highly recommend this place for enjoyable vacation.

The cabin was everything it was purported to be and then some. It was very clean and well appointed. Very easy to find and felt as if you were far away from everyone. I had a dog and we walked right out onto the paths. Just up the road is a Park trail. It was a totally delightful stay and we loved Prescott as well.

My husband and I wanted to get away from our California city to a historic town. This cabin provided all we needed for this getaway! We enjoyed the beautiful location and the creek in the back, as well as being close to some really good hiking provided by Thumb Butte and Watson Lake. At night we went to Whiskey Row and had some excellent food and drink, and just really enjoyed the history behind this little town. Of note, the Prickly Pear Margaritas at El Gato Azul are soooo yummy!!! I would highly recommend this cabin if you want to be close to nature but be in close proximity to some great places to eat and drink!!! This cabin is so warm and cozy, comfortable and perfect for a quiet respite. Thank you to Janet for sharing it with us and quickly responding to our questions!

My friends and I had a great weekend getaway here! The cabin had a great view from the balcony and the kitchen window, it was the perfect size for 4 people. We saw havelina the first hour we were there and saw deer multiple times on the property. We were lucky enough to find a little snow while adventuring into the woods. The weather was beautiful and it´s a perfect place to go when you want to get out of town! I really recommend staying here, we will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I came to Prescott with our two dogs for the weekend. The cabin was clean and welcoming, and it was fantastic to have access to the trails and town nearby. We enjoyed spending time on the beautiful deck in the sunshine. The setting was super peaceful and convenient. Janet was a great host with very clear instructions/communication both before and after our visit. She was also accommodating of our dogs, which was much appreciated! I'd highly recommend the cabin for anyone looking in the area. Thanks, Janet!

5.0   -   Quiet seclusion while close to varied adventures!

Just my wife and I enjoyed the quiet comfortable cabin in the seclusion of the pine and oak trees near the edge of Prescott National Forest. We wanted to enjoy a quiet place yet not too far from some of the night life that the City of Prescott provides. We enjoyed the Christmas lighting of the Prescott Court House and strolled the sidewalks along the famed "Whiskey Row"! We visited some of the local restaurants for a different flavor experience and found some spots we really enjoyed. Each evening we returned to our cozy cabin, and enjoyed the cracking fire in the cast iron stove. The small but comfortable efficient cabin provided us with the quiet privacy so often missed when traveling to other places. The temperatures ranged in the low 30's outside but we were warm and cozy inside this mountain cabin nestled within the pine and oak trees. Great place to get away to some place quiet but close to enjoying the trails, lake waters, shopping, movies walking along the store fronts and enjoying the scenery.

5.0   -   Great spot for quiet and wildlife

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. I am a birder and enjoy all wildlife, and we had Javalina, deer, squirrels and lots of birds come by the cabin area. The deck is great for sitting and watching the wildlife that come to the creek that flows just below the cabin. Other than when the ocassional car drove by, the area was very quiet and peaceful. Great hiking trails nearby. I was in birders heaven. Although the number of bird species there isn't large, there were a lot of fun birds, and many were active most of the day. There is a Safeway pretty close by. We shopped at Sprouts, which is a little further away, but easy to get to by car. The kitchen was very well equipped, one of the best we've had in a vacation rental. It had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals and store leftovers. Nice size refrigerator, and good stove. Janet was very responsive when we asked about the property, and after we arrived. She sent good information on accessing the cabin well ahead of our visit. There were no hot pads in the kitchen so I contacted her to ask if we could get a few and she brought some over a few hours later. We left the cabin pretty clean when we departed and our security deposit was refunded almost immediately. As others mentioned the sofa bed mattress is rather soft. I found it to be comfortable, but my husband and I found it a bit difficult to sleep comfortably together on it. The beds in the loft are only big enough for one person each.

My son, pup, and myself had such a wonderful time at the cabin. The size was just perfect for us and it was so clean and had everything we needed. The views from the kitchen windows were amazing and the deck was AWESOME. The leaves were changing and we saw deer each morning while out on the deck. It was so peaceful and relaxing and enabled us to spend quality time together. We also loved the close proximity to the courtyard square downtown and the lakes near town that all have walking paths around them. Great location and great way to spend our fall break!! :)

We stayed for a week in March while waiting for our lease to open up. This is a cozy and comfortable cabin in beautiful pines of Prescott. Enough dishes to cook a meal and space for 4 of us to sleep. Kids loved the spacious loft and spacious porch. We saw tons of deer, squirrels, birds, a hawk and javelinas, when washing dishes in the kitchen you feel like in a tree house with squirrels running next to you. Great trails of Aspen Creek just up the road. Kids made mud pies in the creek on property and loved to run around the cabin. The breeze in the pines felt wonderful at 70F. Wifi worked well and plenty of towels. So close to all Prescott attractions. I would recommend this to any nature lover!!
